Neither game has any Porsche cars, so it's impossible to compare. You're looking at pre-release stuff. Assetto Corsa, however, WILL be getting Porsche vehicles - 20 of them! - in just a few months. I'm quite confident that Project Cars 1 will never have Porsche vehicles. I doubt Project Cars 2 will either...but I wouldn't bet my life on that.

How is the comparison/driving behaviour between the 911 Assetto Corsa and the 911 in Proreject Cars ?
Hi sven.

First at all, RUF is a brand ho makes cars based on Porsche.. So,in the real world there must be some behaviour differences between a RUF and a Porsche.

This video was shared to me and i shared here on the forums...i didn't got the pleasure to try Porsche on assetto or going to nurburgring at the WEC race weekend..

But i tried assetto on a PC at a friend's house, and the FFB difference between Pcars and Assetto is huge.much better feeling what the car is doing in assetto. Hopefully the FFB will be the same on the console versions.

1 month to get the game on my PS4! And then wait till autumn for the Porsche's DLC.

According to Stefano Casillo, a Kunos developer, the PS4 version went gold a couple of weeks ago. The XboxOne version is presumably the same although he didn't mention that. They are working on updates now.

I sense pain and suffering in the near future. :scared:
yes but this is the inner sim racing masochistic feelings we have.

The C9 is pretty much bondage, if its allowed on console try the gyro effects with a belt driven wheel(eg t300rs) and you literally will feel bruised and battered and if you spin out then potentially a broken wrist.

Oooo I see ...... I thought The one that Donnced showed us for Assetto Corsa was the same as this one in Project Cars the 911 Yellowbird .

Unless someone beats me to it, I'd like to open a thread in this forum when AC releases, to capture the first impressions of players who have spent most of their time in Forza and Gran Turismo up until now. I think it would be an interesting read. :sly:. I know when I first tried AC after spending most of my racing time in Gran Turismo all those years, I was like this for weeks and I still get like that for a couple of weeks after a DLC pack releases:

It'd be interesting, that's for sure. Then again, I remember another title hailed as a game-changer when it released for consoles last year. It's all very deja vu, complete with numerous delays!

I'm really hoping AC is a different, altogether better story. Not just because the guys behind it seem genuinely passionate and hard-working, but because the genre could use it.

It will depend very much whether the game is 'plug-and-play' or not.

i think that is a great idea. Generally ive had two types of people play it. Those who's minds literally explode due to how natural it feels and how they can drive with it reasonably well because well its only driving and they have been doing it for a whole.

Then you get "those" people, the ones that actively search for something wrong, oh it sucks because there is no Gs, oh i should be able to do T1 at Brands with the M4 at 100mph.

Calling them out on their ******** is pretty easy though especially when most of these guys havent driven a car ever.

I still love seeing reactions though, there is a reason why my racing setup is magically ready whenever someone comes over.

"A so-called non-exclusive Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0"

if some of you remember what Ian Bell said i think this is developer banter

I have been driving Project Cars on PS4 since launch and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with it in the belief that nothing else could compare. Now I desperately need to back pedal as like Donnced, I too have in the past week played Assetto Corsa on a PC and my god was I blown away! The incredible detail that I felt through the wheel of his Thrustmaster T300RS (I have the same on PS4) was insane, I mean so much more than I have felt in PCars. If this is going to be a faithful port of the PC version I am without doubt putting my money down on this. Simple things put a smile on my face like the start of a race... the realistic use of clutch and putting it into gear to launch for instance.

What I am interested to understand, is if we will get the same control over the pedals as you get in the PC version. You can set the threshold of each pedal which means more control over the distance of travel and effectiveness of each pedal.

I am now looking forward to this more than GT Sport and and with the potential that Assetto Corsa will be compatible with Playstation VR, I am getting more excited by the day!!

They have said that the two versions of the game are nearly identical so I'd expect it to be there. There's no reason I can think of why you can't have the exact same options on console. You never know though. Stranger things have happened:lol:

I think I remember hearing on an interview that the settings for each wheel are preset? I could obviously have been mistaken and hope that you are right Johnnypenso!

Another point I would like to add regarding PCars PS4 and Assetto Corsa on PC, I found that I had a lot more control of the car and even felt that the tracks were oddly easier to drive. Perhaps this was simply down to a combination of better physics, car handling and wheel support but it sure felt pretty awesome!!!

Add track accuracy into that (laser scanned tracks) and you can understand why is that.I dont think it is necessarily more "easy" but it feels like it since you get better "info" of whats happening.

I've never played AC but very much looking forward to cars with decent driveable default setups. I found pCARS to be utterly awful in that regard. Granted, tuning them is great fun, but, man, out of the box I don't know what they were thinking. Shame i'll be on summer hols when AC launches so I'll have to wait a week or so before I can play it! Also got a nice new and shiny T3PA Pro pedal set waiting here... so shiny....

There are presets for most wheels, but they're just starting points and you can adjust/modify all the functions after you choose a preset. 👍

Exactly, it feels "easier" because it behaves more naturally. We all know how to drive a car and we can hop from one car to another without having to really adjust or relearn the basic behavior of a car, AC does a good job of capturing that because when you get in a car it pretty much behaves just like you'd expect it to. It's not like Gran Turismo where it feels somewhat familiar but there's still a learning curve to adapt to the quirks of being a game.

Going from GT6 to PCARS was a real eye-opener for me. At that point I've played some PC sims, like GTR, GTR2, GT Legends, RACE, etc., but they didn't feel as distinctly better than GT6 as PCARS. I think it probably also had to do with the fact that I just got a T300RS to play PCARS on PS4, whereas before I was using a G27. But I've tried the T300 on GT6, and GT6 still sucks compared to PCARS.
