Have you tried Fanatec’s recommended PC settings yet? I’ve been using those, and they seem really good
No. Looking at those settings it says Compatibility Mode (yellow light) recommended and I can't use that mode. Nothing works on the wheel in that mode.

EDIT Yes I did decide to go ahead and try those settings where I could and I couldn't tell any difference at all between them and the Xbox settings.

Is there a fix for the issue of not being able to load setups now because the game doesn't recognise the button I have triangle mapped to as that button? I didn't mind that the previous update meant that I had to press start instead to load them, but now I can't do it at all...

Switch to controller, load set up, switch back to wheel

I'd just like to point out, that even though you switch to controller in the options screen, you then still use the wheel to save/load your setups, you don't need to physically touch your controller, that tripped me up to begin with.
Ah okay, I'll try that later. This consistent issue with button mapping is getting frustrating though.

How does tire degregation work in this game? Can you choose it in custom races via multipliers like in GT7? Looking to set up a custom race or 2 to get a feel for this game before I create a custom championship. Any recommendations?

Asked Nick today, this is the answer:

There are plans for a bug fix that will deploy with the DLC yes. However I don't know what will be in that patch at the moment. It's likely it will be patches for the DLC. Hopefully some further updates on the issues you have as well but that is not guaranteed.

Awesome thanks.

Also I have to say that 505 have done a great job at implementing haptic feedback etc for the PS5. I tried GT7 before and the feeling is dead on controller compared to this, which for a Sony 1st party title is ridiculous.

Sony should consider buying Kunos and getting a real simulator in their stable imo.

Awesome thanks.

I haven’t played GT7 with the controller for a few months but I think I prefer GT7 implementation, haptics and triggers, over ACC.

It's a shame they haven't bothered with the Xbox Impulse triggers :( God knows why.
Even Microsoft gave up with those after a while didnt they? FH4 and FH5 didn't seem to utilise them at all and they're first party titles.

Last update for GT7 must have killed it then, compared to ACC it feels dead now, I got no feeling at all from it. I uninstalled it(again) after that.

Awesome thanks.

Sony would then hire Untold games studio, which is on front of porting, support, and next Gen version development off ACC.
Also the guys that made the dualsense implementation.

Kunos have nothing to see with those aspects, kunos only devlop and support the PC version of ACC

I would just like to point out that the rumble on the triggers is one of the best things about Forza controller support. They do a great job of letting you know when you are reaching the limits of grip while braking or accelerating, letting you know when TC/ABS activate, etc...

They are most definitely very well supported in FH3-FH5 and FM7 on the PC as well as the Xbox itself. Not sure how you could actually play those games with an Xbox One/Series controller and not notice, to be honest :D

I really would love to see similar support for the impulse triggers in ACC. It would help a lot with threshold braking when using the controller.

I agree in Forza 7, they're almost non existent after FH3, to the point I didn't even think they were actually being utilised.

I always find it utterly disappointing when I come across racing games that don't support it on Xbox. I remember installing Dirt Rally on my PC because I thought I'd enjoy running it in ultra graphics etc but then NG the impulse triggers don't work. I struggled to play it and then went back to the Xbox version. To me they provide so much detail and feeling, I don't know why some developers don't bother but then implement it on the new PS5 controller, surely it should be a standard feature across both consoles by now.

Is there a hack I’m not aware of to get my encoders to work both clockwise and counterclockwise?

DD pro, Mclaren GT3 rim, PS5

Is it me or they didn't implement new tires yet? Hint one is PSI, it's like with old tires. Hint two is it's like old physics. :D The game is superb but the tires are probably not updated. Strange...

Great, I was confused because of different gamepad support. Every platform is bit different.

Currently I mostly play Xbox version and it's probably the best console racing game to me. There is no point in playing other games then. Really great game.
