I don't think this video has been shared here before:

PS4 Pro footage with various conditions and decently captured.

EDIT: Sorry, thought it was captured using a capture card, but apparently it was a stream.

Looks good.
I still haven't seen anyone adjusting seat/FOV settings yet.
I'm trying to remember if seat settings were an option when console AC first released or whether they added it afterwards...

They added it later in a patch..

You cant adjust FOV. However this game has not been released yet, so it may come with a launch day patch. Also in AC you could adjust FOV on launch but it was limited and no seat movement.

Many thanks and I have to say from this ours looking damn good, certainly more than good enough for me.

From Kunos.

Whilst I knew that, its kind of annoying because it's easy contact the devs and get answers, sometimes, but they can't give any real answers on the console version. It's probably annoying for them too that they get all the earache for the console version.

The two most important things for me at this point are controller implementation and the game having a clean look like AC. Not bothered about private lobbies because everyone complained about lack of private lobbies in AC, then complained it was better before private lobbies.

From the videos, the FOV in the view with the dashboard but minus the steering wheel looks nice and narrow, like around 45-50° which is what i set my onboard view to in AC (calculator says i should use 42° but i pull it back just to get a slightly wider view). This one is probably the view i will go to even tho its quite a narrow view through the screen, and very low down so it's difficult to see the apex, but it seems realistic and it also avoids the stimulated drivers head motion which I'm not always a fan of.

The FOV from the drivers seat with the wheel looks much wider, like around 60-70° which looks similar to GTS.

I hope there is an option to remove the HUD like on AC for true immersion, but more important would be FOV and seat position adjust

No FOV in the game yet? Wow that is a crazy omission for a sim.

I really hope this gets a day one fix because it really can't call itself a sim without fov adjustments.

Yes I hope it happens soon too, i love tinkering. A preset FOV doesn't work in all cars for me.

I wonder who did the port then. Be interesting to know if they developed it for 30fps straight off, or whether they targeted 60 and couldn't pull it off.

Also I hope they don't wash their hands of it after release, listen to the community, and patch in whatever they need to, such as private lobbies or seat movement/FOV stuff.

Yeah that is a bit worrying. Kunos were not involved in the console version development and port!? Yet they are the only ones that have provided anything useful about the console release, 505 have been completely useless

Confirms a few posts I'd seen that Kunos didn't do the console port.

If I recall the console version of the game is a few revisions behind PC already.

Its easy to be cynical and suggest its just a cash grab by 505 - get some anonymous company to do a port, do virtually no marketing and then push it out on the basis it'll get a niche group of buyers, hopefully enough to make a profit. Lets hope it isn't the case and they've just done a bad (marketing) job so far due to the current situation, but I'm not too optimistic of that.

Either way, I think we'd need to set a low expectation for patches. If there is a next-gen one I reckon we'll be paying for it.

Some here have remarked how committed the guy at Kunos is (Ari?), not to console it seems. Even if he was unable to take on the console port work it could have been under his control. In any case, lets hope he finds a better publisher for his next project.

This is the issue I have ( stems from the ac console port too), I question if the guys doing the port are sim fans or just programmers. I wonder that because no way would Kunos, real sim fans, leave out FOV and seat adjustment. So it looks like we may have to do some crying on their forums to get Kunos on the backs of the porters.

Kunos are roughly a 20 man/woman team, which sometimes goes up to 30-35 staff temporarily. So the console team are not the core of the team, but hopefully they'll be kept on for the n4xt gen version. IMO there is no chance of kunos not supporting the console version whilst the PC version is still being supported.

Aris is the physics guy, there is zero chance of him taking on duties like that. Aris said he knows nothing about the console version other than he tried it and knows nothing of next gen ( pretty sure he said he didn't even know they were working on current gen lol ). Kunos should take more responsibility for overseeing everything console related though, perhaps Marco Massarutto should.

Too bad about not being Kunos, they look a little like washing their hands of it, maybe the publisher giving them no choice too.
Hope we still get a new gen game and i wonder if kunos will be the ones doing it, im guessing not.

Well the thing is they could become a part of Kunos if they had more funds but it still isn't gonna be the guys that work on the PC side because they're just making the actual game, so not really washing their hands of it. If they did the console version then the development if the game would halt. It just needs someone telling the porters you must not leave out any key features.

Not got ACC, but have seen the same thing in AC when the game was started with a pad and not the wheel.

Yeah am starting the game with the wheel, it's letting me change gear and navigate the menus on the wheel just no brake or wheel inputs.

Oh no!! I did see a load of fanatec trackside adverts in the video! ;)
But I'm sure they'll patch this very soon if it's an issue on general release. At least they better bloody do, i just reinstated my pre-order

Quick look over the menus on PS4

Check out what options are here:

Are you guy' going to do the Special Events and which one, or you just going do just the Career Mode Races ?. I am thinking just dong the Special Event Hot lap races and the career mode champion races, if I buy this game after reading some reviews.
