Well it's not framerate per se, on those couple of vids it's obvious the stuttering and needs be fixed for sure. Especially in curves for a sim.
It's not micro stutter, and on a bigger screen like a tv will show even more if ever it happens regularly.
I dont know if it's a specific situation though that it happens.
Im the biggest supporter of ac and kunos as a sim dev, and ac on my std ps4 is smooth as a dream, better than most, with not too many ai.

I need recheck other videos to see if its same. But it's still early and im sure even post launch will be patches on and on and updates.

Edit: popin of trees etc isn't so and as important even if it should be fixed too as can. But it doesn't affect too much the gameplay and immersion like stutter does.
If you record AC on PS4 standard it looks pretty choppy, but it isn't representative of the game. I hope that's the case here too.

From your own post:

So are they involved or are they not ?

505 have the publishing rights, I suspect that they outsourced the console port and as the above says, Kunos provided a little direction but were not involved.

From Kunos's point of view they won't need to do anything to provide console suppport, because they'll add the GT4 DLC to the PC version and whatever else and it will get shipped off to the outsourcer to integrate in to the console version. So I agree, provided the PC version gets new content/updates, so will console.

I see posts here suggesting a day 1 patch to improve perfomrance on console or to add back in private lobbies that have been removed during the port. What I'm saying is we are entirely at the whim of 505 and given their showing thus far I wouldn't be too confident of anything. The fact that one of the most popular wheels just doesn't work or crashes the game does make we wonder how much testing it got.

If we get patches and stuff - fantastic, but lets not take them as a foregone conclusion.
They are hired by Kunis, they are temporary staff. They have nothing to do with the development of the game itself, they just do the porting. I imagine they are in the same studio and some working from home. When Aris says "we" he means the permanent team, the team that makes the game and throws ideas into the pot. Private lobbies will be added with enough requests if they have no plans currently to add them. Theres no need to worry about 505. Dont forget Kunos game the Laguna DLC and 10 cars ( or was it 7?) For free, that was content that was scheduled paid DLC.

Port is made from UK based studio called d3t ldt that is working (porting) ACC to console working with Kunos since 18-20months.

No Idea if that studio is from digital bross/505games.

Getting reports that playing the game is a lot choppier than YT makes you believe. Many people don't seem to be happy on how the game runs.

I just came across that, haven't watched the video interview with Marco yet.

The video in the link to gamereactor is a direct feed, doesn't look bad to me on my 55inch, certainly not worse than AC. Fingers crossed for a launch day patch though.

Can't seem to play online at the moment. All Silverstone servers and as soon as you drive out the pits it disconnects. Would put money on a patch being released tomorrow. There is no dlc tracks available either so I think there must be a download for them to get released

The DLC tracks will be available later in the summer according to Kunos

So do we get a code for the IGTC pack ? If not, how will they know those who pre-ordered vs those who picked it up afterwards ?

Or is everyone going to get the IGTC pack and the "pre-order to get.." is a scam..

So, you have the game? What system are you on?

Would you race against the AI and tell us what the experience is like?

Does anyone know what time it's actually gonna release on PSN?

Is it midnight Monday night? What time zone?

Perhaps Monday (tonight) at 9pm pacific time is when the game will 'drop on PSN? I want to say that is what they usually do for other games like CoD.

Im hoping. But a guy in Australia said his xbox pre-order is slated for 2am on the 24th for him. Which is around noon on the 23rd for eastern time US.

We'll see

Yeah my copy arrived this morning, I'm on ps4. Racing against AI works quite well, haven't noticed any problems with it yet.

Don't know how they are going to do that with everyone that pre ordered being offered dlc as a benefit of pre ordering. My copy also didn't come with any code etc so not sure how anyone who pre ordered gets their free dlc

A few possibilities:

1) They know all PSN / XBox gamertags that play within the first week or two. They then get PS/Xbox to send a code to those users via email or message. Never known this to happen..

2) They're going to want to see proof of purchase via email and then send codes out

3) No-one gets the IGTC DLC

4) Everyones going to get the DLC and the pre-order "bonus" is a scam.

Given the utter dogs breakfast 505 have made of this so far, I suspect No. 4.

Someone posted that in one of the threads (losing track a bit!).

Its very positive news and gives hope that console versions will get improvements.

So... is it me or is ACC not very big on... explaining anything?

I'm trying to get through a preview copy in order to sort a review out, and I'm finding it rather... vague when it comes to information. Naturally I jumped into the career mode, and did the three evaluation tests at Monza. Then I got to pick a car and had to name my team and team-mates - no explanation why I had to do these things (I figured atmosphere). Then I did a race weekend at Zolder... which was fine until I was disqualified at the end of the race without any explanation having won by a bit more than a second (which was itself odd; the car just stopped behaving on lap nine - there's a lot of information on the screen which I'm sure covers why but no part of it has been explained to any point thus far).

That and the fact that the game's default setting for a wheel is 40 degrees rotation has rather baffled me so far... Drives nicely though with the wheel settings cranked up to max.

I haven't been able to play the game yet, but from what I've seen from a stream of the PC version, I think that race has a mandatory stop with tyre change and driver swap (to one of your "teammates") required, within a pit window. Maybe you missed one of those requirements? Just guessing.

Just guessing.
That being the issue - the "game" part of the game doesn't cover it, so you have to guess

Sprint races don't require a driver change, but endurance races do. This isn't noted anywhere that's obvious - and not really covered when you're actually stopping; if you select the other driver, a further panel says they are "invalid". Also on the not mentioned list is the fact you have to do the stop yourself on the limiter (and 2nd disengages the limiter) including stopping correctly in your pit box.

You essentially need prior knowledge of the rules and regulations of the real-world Blancpain GT series (or whatever its current name is), and I can see a lot of people getting very frustrated, very early in the career mode without any of these things explained.

I've also been hit twice in two rolling starts (something else not mentioned) by the AI. The second time I decided to restart the race and that bizarrely made my wheel impossible to turn (ultra heavy, almost no response from the car, even at walking pace) until I went into the controls menu and changed one of the sliders.

Picked up some audio and visual bugs too - sound cutting out at Monza heading out of Ascari, and the longer car/team names in the results menus skip about.

The simulation aspect seems pretty cool (it's a bit crap on pad, to be honest), and it's not too bad visually (the frame rate is obvious). But the actual game bit of it seems... unfinished.
