There's a good graphical comparison vs GT7 here. IMO ACE is significantly better looking (closer to real life) than GT7.

The thing with GT7's graphics that makes them eye-catching, is that the cars are always washed and polished, so the sun's highlights and reflections do pop, especially on HDR capable TVs and monitors. Also, there is no dust and dirt in their world, so the cars never get dirty. The lighting is colder or neutral at best and colors are more saturated.

Oh, and those reflections when the sun hits the dashboard (at the 8:40 mark) would be a safety hazard in the real world.

In AC EVO you can see there is some haze around Mt. Panorama, even if it is a clear day with some high clouds. Color is less saturated, but in real life, sunlight washes colors. And in the interior, you can see that the metallic pieces and the hard plastics have a brushed look that is less reflective, as they should. Occlusion seems better in ACE too.

Forza Motorsport started rather bland with the graphics after what was promised, but some updates later they have raised the saturation, improved the textures, and boosted the lights/highlights, so it's more attractive now, and is also made for HDR. And FM cars do get dirty after running laps and their environments also acknowledge the presence of particles in the air.

I HATE the blooming effect of light reflection in GT7, that looks exactly like you have eye problem!! :scared:

Why release a 0.1 if it is no good to anyone?
It's good for plenty of peole, mainly the ones who understand what Early Access is.
and why make people pay $32 for it?
They get revenue and we get early access, the ability to provide feedback, and all the release content at a lower price. Oh and no one is being made to pay anything for it, they have a choice.
This to me is v1.0, they are just numbering it different.
If you have to make things up to support a point, then you don't have much of a point.
it should have been a closed beta, for like the next 2 years until they make it as good as AC1.
You mean the original AC that launched in early access the same way, had less content (1 car and 1 track) and more issues?

Tell you what, you pretend it's a closed beta and we are all just Beta testers who have been allowed to openly comment and post on it.

I'm running ACE on a Ryzen 5 5600H 16Gb ram RTX 3050 laptop and I'm barely running at 60fps on very low setting 720p with DLSS on performance. lots of stuttering and frame drops while I'm practicing alone, and I think the game will run even worse if I'm racing against the AIs. I think it's time for me to build a gaming PC.
Did you check the resolution when you were in the pit-lane? ACE currently has a bug that resets the resolution to native when you load into a track, so you need to check and set-it at the track.

Just plug up my thrustmaster t300 gt rs wheel with thrustmaster shifter to just see how it feelt. I dont have much to campare to as i have not Played many sim titles and using a wheel is quite new to me.

The driving feel is really amazing in my eyes a lot better than gt7. Cant wait to see how this game evolve over this year.

Hopefully that network issue is resolved soon. Really intrested in the game economy, some customize options for the cars and driving academy😃

Gt7 is slighly ahead in car models but the difference is not big.

Ac evo is the first racing game i seen to even come that close. In other areas ac evo looks better to me.

It's probably a good idea to not speak on other people's behalf. If it's no good to you then that's fine.

5 tracks, 20 cars, bad fps, worse AI, lots of glitches, lots of deactivated UI-elements, lots of missing features.
This to you is v1.0? I don't think you really mean what you say.

Sounds like a better version of V1.0 NASCAR Ignition, now that was a poster child for why Early Access is a good idea.

Hearing people complain is comical. Maybe GT planet can give us two threads, one for the whiners who have this strange fascination with toxicity and negativity, and frankly, ignorance, because they don't care to understand what early access is.

I'd like to be in a thread with people who are mature and understand exactly what we're getting with early access so that we can talk about things that we encounter, and those conversations will help lead to adjustments along the way.

There were no grandiose promises from Kunos that this $32 (great price) early access testing product would be so polished that it would invite comparisons to other games that have been out for years and had multiple updates.

Numeous experienced racing game enthusiasts have unanimously explained that this is pretty darn good for such an early build.

Anyone who bought this version and is disappointed in what they got have only their own ignorance to blame for their disappointment.

It sounds like a terribly traumatic incident.

If somebody from Kunos came to your place of residence and put a shotgun to your head and forced you to pay $32 for this game, you should report that to your local police. I feel terrible that happened to you 🤦‍♂️

Please don't take this as bragging (because I really do feel for you having been through this traumatic "forced to purchase" situation), but I feel fortunate that here, where I live, I was able to make a CHOICE whether to buy it or wait for its official release down the road.

I thought this has been confirmed a myth for the most part.
People have been claiming this apparent myth as truth since the first Gran Turismo, but I've never ever read anything official about that.
Personally, I think it's just that damage models are an extra complication that devs simply choose not to implement, rather than a strict mandate from manufacturers.

Speaking from a degree of experience here, most manufacturers will have limits for passenger cars, with passenger cell damage/intrusion being the very limit (for what I hope are obvious reasons). What it does mean is that while some OEMs will give you more freedom than others, unless you want an inconsistent model, a dev would have to work within the limits of the most limiting version.

Then you have the added issue that to do it fully is very GPU/CPU demanding, and ideally requires a full soft-body model (such as beamNG), requirements that most sim devs would rather push to the driving, etc simulation side of things.

People have a right to complain and no thread should be an echo chamber, be that positive or negative. However, that doesn't mean if people make an asinie point, they can't be called out for it.

yes I did, I checked out your youtube video before I played them myself :).
