Hi all. With the new CSP & CM patches. Does anybody know how to make the app icons in VR go back to normal size as they are now very small when in VR. Many thanks.

still havent worked out the issue with the barriers but if i find anything ill post it here

for the small icons try checking:

settings----> Gui-------> New UI

not sure if thatll help

another way is to change your flat screen resolution to something like 1080p in settings ------> assetto corsa------> video

ive heard that also saves a few frames

Thanks for that.yes the issue was monitor resolution. I always use 1080p for that and it works fine. I would say since the new CSP patch it does seem better and overall looks better. Need to do more tests yet. Thanks for getting back to me.

not sure if it was a placebo but the new csp and cm seems to have improved the visuals for me in vr and also improve performance by a few frames.

could also be because ive been so busy modding i havent driven in a few weeks

Just had a look at your Patreon . Looks like some interesting stuff is in the making. I’m into vintage stuff like Le Mans mid 70s which there is not much around plus vintage sports cars ect.

cheers. lots of vintage race cars in the works. main one being the full 1983 wsc season. working on the tracks now and improving the cars GTSupreme already released. basically a full grid minus the Nissan Skyline which i'm trying to sort out too. the cars never been in any game so would be amazing if I can.

havent forgot the 1978 f1 season. also trying to do the 1979 with all the tracks as well. have had to put them on hold atm though as im learning how to do suspension animation.

Yes really interested in 78 & 79 F1 seasons and the Lotus 23 I think. Will be interesting to see what you do with GT supreme cars.
I have most of them but not very good quality. Going to test the 956 later 🙂

i havent touched the physics on the 956 btw. its just some quality of life improvements. mainly the steering wheel. was annoying me having the 962 steering wheel staring back at me.

i think most of the ports are from gtr2. i am tempted to go through and rebuild each one but the wsc grid was around 50-60 cars. the lower quality is actually a benefit here. they will all get a polish though, correct rims and correct steering wheels.

Thanks. Can you use it with SOL. Or is it just a Pure filter.
not sure as I removed sol a long time ago. pures alot better now (imo) and also gives better performance boost.

with pure though the filter is very good. it gives the vibrancy back without sacrificng contrast ratio or messing the menus up like other filters do.

How to disable this ring in VRSS mode.

Nope because if selecting VRSS in CM off (VR tweaks) it’s gone. About the position with or without its always the same distance I do not remove my chair.
The VRSS results from CM btw are spectaculair, shimmer is reduced to nearly zero.

is that single pass stereo your referring to? any performance hit or benefit?

Hi. All. I tried that but got like rings showing in replays so turned it off.
was there any fps increase?

i came across another video which showed the top resolution for the reverb g2 seems to be 4300 x 4200. might be worth trying with your gpu. also render scale of around 105-115 will make things noticably clearer. 120% just seems to make the driver have giant hands but im pretty sure 100% render scale is too small

The eye candy results within the circle are quite spectacular in fighting the famous AC aliasing.
In my test I use the Aston Martin Ulster, normally the engine louvres are shimmering and flashing like hell and the metal frontwindows frame is jagged as a blade of a saw.
The test circuit is Racinjoe Spa1934 stationary from the pit, here you have an near and far away view, to compare shimmering and flickering.
These are my adjustments in 1.79: AMD FFXsr unchecked, otherwise VRSS does not work and use single pass stereo to select MSAA 8x.
Only if I remove that circle in VR any tips are welcome

Hi. Will try the higher resolution. Where do you change the render scale so I can try that. Just been testing your new Cougar and Porsche 936. It it possible you can fix the windscreen wipers. The Porsche wiper is breaking up when wiping and the Cougar doesn’t wipe the water away and doesn’t clear the driver side of the screen. This is in VR. Cheers.

Incidentally, I recently disabled Single Pass Stereo, Single YEBIS Pass, NVvidia VRS (and AMD FFXSR) and have not noticed any performance hit, but have noticed a much cleaner and more stable image in my Rift.

ill have to speak to Tony about that, Animations arent my strong point. My updates are mainly just visual updates like adding the correct rims, missing liveires and correct steering wheels back.

Render scale is changed in the tookit, refer back to the video i posted a while back, it really does sort the game out and is reverb g2 focused. try changing the resolution and render scale inside the open xr toolkit.

Cheers. Maybe Tony will have a look at the animations. I will try resolution and render scale there. Great update for cars though.

If AMD FFXSR was enabled your Nvidia VRss is not working, it’s all FFXSR that ruling and yes getting more performance by FFXSR will also cost you eye candy. In my POV performance loss is a bit hard to judge because we have no real ingame benchmark, only a video.
Do me a favor, disable AMD FFXSR and enable VRS set the quality on highest MSAA 8x, see my adjustment here above. Now use the most terrible facing aliasing car and track you have. I use SPA 1934 as you can see aliasing near and from a distance, while the car I use is the Aston Martin Ulster as can be found at https://www.assetto-fr.tk/garage/aston_martin/
You will see, despite the ring, the aliasing (shimmer/jaggies/flicker) is finally acceptable. It works better than OpenXR or fholger solution, it will cost you performance, but I can live with that.

Now if I only could remove that ring :irked:
