That never fails to make me laugh... đź‘Ť

I think my time in the PS4/XBox thread has come to an end. I actually feel bad for a lot of those console players.

I haven't been around much in the last few days. Is the first Porsche pack pushed back to October?
Chill. It's still an excellent game in quick race, race weekend, time attack and hotlapping. Everything else can be fixed.

Andre Lotterer and his friends (I think? Maybe his teammates) had been playing Assetto Corsa. Excape Entrainment seems to be a gaming cafe specifically for racing sims and VR racing.

But wait my friends there is more.

Every single GT3 car ever has been confirmed.

And sim racers first sticker pack for their 911s.

That's good to hear but i'm not sure what you mean by "every single GT3 car ever" confirmed. Is this your sense for humour, like the screenshot above?

I think there will be 23 or 24 Porsches for the game, propably 8 in each pack. The teaser trailer pretty much confirmed 17-19 models already, if i'm correct. Unless Kunos showed cars in the teaser trailer that won't be in the game at all. Which would be rather... strange.

There are GT3 road cars since the 996 Generation. Regular GT3s as well as various GT3 RS models. I don't think i saw any GT3 road car in the trailer except the 991 GT3 RS,

If Kunos is refering to GT3 in the sense of race cars, there are propably more models than we can count. I think i saw a new 991 GT3 R in the trailer, as well as the 2016 IMSA 911 RSR and the GT3 carrera cup car. Let's hope we will more official information soon.

I watched the trailer frame by frame and spotted some interesting cars. This isn't a offical confirmation that they will be in one of the packs, but it's likely.

919 Hybrid (2015) *confirmed*
991-2 Carrera S *confirmed*
"Moby Dick" 935 *confirmed*
918 Spyder *confirmed*
991 GT3 RS
718 Boxster
Cayman GT4
"Some Classic 911 race car" (can't say which one it is)
991 Carrera Cup race car *confirmed*
991 GT3 R race car (not 100% sure about this one)
991 RSR
917 (le mans)
911 GT1 (le mans)
936
956 OR 962 (hard to tell which one)

Kunos already *confirmed* these as well:
New Panamera
Cayenne
Macan
919 Hybrid (2016)

I think it's pretty obvious that the packs will focus on race cars and the newest road cars, if the trailer is any indicator (it should be). There are a lot of new road cars in this list, which is propably becaus Kunos has already done a racing simulator for Porsche based on AC Pro, and i think Porsche picked the models for this simulator. They wanted to show off all their new models so these will be all coming to the game.

However, many historic road cars will propably be missing. There are many models which weren't present in the trailer, but most fans would expect them to be in a Porsche DLC. Including...

any 911 Turbo, from the brand new 991-2 to the classic "G" model
any 911 993
any 911 996
any 911 997
959 (everyone wants and needs that!)
Carrera GT (plz, dont make walter röhrl sad)
550 Sypder
917/30 Can Am
RS Spyder race car
718 Cayman
Cayman GT4 cup car
928
944

So if we're going to get 24 cars, some of the models above won't be in the packs, but some of them might will!

The 918 has also been confirmed.

Personally I'd love to see things like the 928 and 944 Turbos make it in, but I'm weird like that.
The 944 might be a good rival for the E30.
The word "soon" in the title is triggering me now.
Oh this is nothing, when the first dlc came out for AC last year it was hellish, they hardcore teased that for nearly 6 months.

Jesus. That Porsche 550 is gorgeous. No offense meant to the creators of the current 550 mod, but this 550 posted above is simply..."WOW!"

The yellow 911 Carrera S Brownninja97 postsed is going to be a fun car. I know it's not the most sexy 911, but I don't need the fastest, best model of cars all the time. That Carrera S is going to be great to go toe to toe with some of the other cars in my garage. I can't wait... :D

Everyone has to remember, we're getting 24 Porsche's in these 3 packs, but it doesn't mean that we'll never get another Porsche down the road. I mean, unless Marco announces those are the terms of the licensing agreement, but I would be shocked. Look at our Lambo's & Ferrari's... So, if you don't see a favorite model in these one of these 3 packs all hope shouldn't be abandoned. đź‘Ť

If they can combone the driving pleasure of the current 550 mod with those gorgeous graphics I'll be very happy:). Someone should start a campaign for some classic Porsche DLC following the current scheduled DLC.:sly:

When you think about how the relationship is between them its likely that they will be getting more cars in the future at some point, if they are going to advertise the road cars at their own simulators then im sure they will want to add to the roster in the future especially with the new 911 GT2 RS and the new Cayenne which will be coming in the coming months. Well there is a chance that the new cars will stay in their builds and not come to the public, we will never know until the future announcements but will would make sense if the end of year announcement still mentioned Porsche in terms of future contracts.

Something to consider - it is possible that a few of the Porsche models in that 24 number could be tuned variants like some of the other road cars they fancy at Kunos - the 458, 1M, Elise etc. :indiff:

So i started doing the RSR leaderboards and I was surprisingly sometimes up to 6 seconds off leaders on short tracks like Brands. I started watching youtube videos and I am really confused at the amount of grip cars seem to have. There seems to be no trailbraking, no sawing at the wheel, no correcting oversteer, just slow in fast out through all the corners in all the cars. The cars seem to possess enormous amounts of grip and I'm not sure how that is possible. Hlap?

This is why these people are referred to as "Aliens" because it appears to be not humanly possible ;-) Some people are naturally talented, some are dedicated and practice for thousands of laps where as I am neither and so am content with being slower ;-)

BTW in GT5/6 when they used to be 20-30 secs faster they were then known as "hackers" ;-) Modders was the accepted term but I preferred hackers.

Yea of course but the thing is when i played GT5 and/or iracing i could see how the aliens were faster then me. I couldn't mimic them but i could see where the time was coming from. In AC even the style of driving seems extremely weird.

Is that possible? I know that AC is highly moddable, does the RSR app check for that kind of thing?

Tuning could help, tire pressure ? or they may have found tricks/exploits in the physics ? Not sure if AC cars can be modded illegally and used online/leaderboard times, do the game even do checks on the car data integrity when uploading to leaderboards ?

they do checksum tests meanings they match the numbers that the host has with the clients numbers for the car. If any number doesnt match then you are out. Not sure if its easy to get past that, there is zero defence to things like noclip or godmode etc etc but ive never really see those kinds of things in AC.
