Big PURE mini-mod update.

We've chosen the tires, we're going for two different styles on the stock NA, for the completely stock feel, we'll have the 185/60R14 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S.

Then we'll be serving up a much grippier tire in the vein of trackday and autocross use in the form of Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs, in the same size.

And since we're now planning on getting out two separate cars;
1. stock oem 1995 Mazda Miata NA
2. 1995 NA Spec Miata conversion
we plan on using the very nice, grippy, cut slick official Spec Miata tire, the Hoosier SM6, for our little racecar.

We plan on having many more rim, tire size, and compound simulations available near after release, this is just the start.

Progress:
We still have to do the lights and the cut out part around the exhaust.
Then a little underbody, and then the interior finally
Oh and the tire tread needs to be done also, that'll be done soon quickly.

-little rear suspension (made the body over it transparent so you can see it)
-front air dam (have not rendered it yet)
-and started the interior

That's looking great Wardez! Is the Spec Miata car going to use the stock sized tires or are you moving to 235-50-15 or something along those lines?

haha, yeah, no way we're going to use such thin tires for the SM. The Hoosiers are P205/50ZR15. So a slightly bigger rim is all we'll need, probably Kosei K1s or Team Dynamic 1.2s.

Really great stuff Wardez, it's looking awesome.

In Australia, the MX5 guys looking for a lightweight race type wheel tend to either go for Enkei RPF1s or 949Racing 6ULs. Or stock NB wheels because they're almost as light as anything else and super cheap. Just a little extra info from the arse end of the world. :P

Really looking forward to taking part in the series. It's gonna be great. :)

Just release it already... darn slackers @ Kunos. lol

I am very interested to see what they made. Though I have to say I am more interested in Formula Truck from Reiza as it is something totally different.

Seems like they plan to release this weekend, which for me is crap as it is full of birthdays including my own on Friday. :(

Paypal should work easy enough, it's worth setting up an account by now!

It had been in the small test group for a while now.

Get the onion ready Wardez. :D

It's been released to the press/bloggers. They're all having fun :/

I caught a few leaked screenshots and such before they were taken down, nothing surprising, but it was nice to look around the GUI and such, seeing how it's all set up.

There's hotlap and freerun mode. Only difference is hotlap gives you a ghostcar.

Can you post up some of those shots? Please?

Where'd you hear that?

Pot's boiling right now man!

Stefano said they don't want to give away the day or time, they want to surprise everyone in order to reduce the initial overload DDOS attack strength as much as possible.

Could still be today, I still might not have to eat this delicious sprout.

I like the cheap NKPro deal, I was unwilling to shell out $20 for a game that was about to be outdated and/or a tech preview. $7 is fine though, one less pint on Friday night. :)

I hope you're right, March 4th date that I saw some people kicking about sounds horrible!

Seems odd that they wouldn't just put it up. Download concerns can't be it, they'd just whack up a torrent and not offer direct downloads. People would get over it. I assume they're worried that their authentication server will get hammered, but they have to know how many NKP licences are out there already.
