It will be available for free as a preorder bonus. Otherwise you can still buy it as a DLC.

Gallardo Valentino Balboni for Assetto Corsa

Team Radiator Springs has released new previews of their first ever car modding project for Assetto Corsa – The Lamborghini Gallardo Valentino Balboni.

Radiator Springs released a version of the car for netKar already, this one will be done completely from scratch to make most of the all-new platform.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni is a leightweight version of the standard Gallardo, weighing just 1380 kilograms and being powered by a 543hp V10 engine.

Fair warning, if you intend to keep playing GT5 and then GT6, do not watch this video, or at least mute the sound, it might make you sad realizing what you will be missing

You have been warned.:sly:

Nope, didn't happen.

You Jelly, bro? :sly:

BTW, that's a Huayra ;)

I finally got round to having a go at the tech preview. Very promising indeed: graphics, physics, force feedback and track surface detail are all top notch.

The only trouble is that AC tech preview is way ahead of pCARS (pre-alpha) in terms of driving feel, which makes the single track and car combo very frustrating :)

Nice problem to have. :)

Single track, etc....,It will all be resolved when the game is released, soon I hope.

Im starting to think this game will not be making a 2013 release date. :indiff:
Of course not, they are a small team. The project is HUGE and they are delivering a Masterpiece. I find it reasonable if release date will be around Q2 2014.

Meanwhile look at this beauty:

Ofcourse not?

The devs have clearly said it should be this year.
LOL do you really think a project like this can't cause any delay? Do we really need to talk about what happen with GT5? PD have Sony behind them and a multi million dollar budget, still they delay was epic. If Kunos manage a Q2 2014 release I don't see any problem with it.

Note, the release could be earlier as that "Q2 2014" is only my prevision.

Sure can, like it has. The devs' comment was after those 'major' delays. Sure there can be still some new delays, but my prediction is still this year.

New Series Onboard video Driver Eye, he has added several effects to giving you a more realistic vision has been improved to the other videos you think for months you can see in the channel, spin in a Ferrari at Monza Game Assetto Corsa.

Little update on our Miata mini-mod. Still working on it! Just taking it slow following in Kunos' style.

Hope you guys like.

From our modeler, Gergely Kiss -

"High-res interior modelling roughly done, around 50k triangles of targeted 60-65k so I can spend a little polys on the details. Still no textures, I will have to do that also :)
(notice that there are some glitches on the dashboard, because I have not merged the parts together, it will disappear once I do that but I don't want it now, because its easier to manage the model this way with mirroring)"

I really can't wait for this to come out. I just hope it has Oculus Rift support from the start.

I can't wait to drive the Ferraris on a modern simulator. rFactor stuff is good, but this will be on another level. :)

Under 100k polies is the target with the full car, but as you could see in the interior, we have close to 60k triangles for the mesh of the interior alone.

It's broken down into three separate LOD groups.

LOD A - 60k triangles for exterior with wheels (and rims etc)
LOD B - 60k triangles for HD interior
LOD C - 5k triangles for LD interior (used in external cameras and for other cars on track)

Very nice!

This may have been different on US models, but the dash looks to have the passenger airbag panel from an NB. The centre console and everything is correct, but the NAs as far as I'm aware don't have that panel above the glovebox on the passenger's side. The dash also splits into two sections, a thin one that faces towards the passengers and the top section, where the NB is just one curved piece.

I'm wondering if this was used as source material, because that was a transplant of an NB dash into an NA.

Although, NA with an NB interior is nicer anyway. :)

60k is pretty low, fantastic job, good use of ressources man.

Well yeah, except for the completely different shader style, lighting, foliage and car selection. But both have old Monza, thats true. ;)
