But guys, do you really manage to try all those cars and tracks ?!?

between doing a few skins, modding a few cars that i like I barely find the time to test maybe 1/3 of the tracks that I downloaded... not to mention all the cars :P

Are you sure is it by Shaun Clarke?
As a basis for our Assetto Corsa mod we used an rF2 mod with permission from SrFL & Andy Simmons.

It sounds like he was a part of the triple7racing team but possibly is now reworking them?

Hold tight. Shaun Clarke is updating the BTCC pack. I can't confirm the timetable for release. Maybe 1-3 months. Immediate release (1-5 days?) will be Ginetta G40 Junior, Ginetta G55 Supercup, Ginetta GT3, Ginetta GT4, Ginetta GT5, Mini Cooper JCW.

Yeah man, it’s nuts. I’ve got so many mods, it’s really hard to find time to even briefly test drive each car that comes out. More quality, less quantity would be ideal but Hey - I’m not complaining. Thanks to all the contributors here!
 
I love sim racing but don't really follow any real racing events. Thing is, are reversed tracks a thing in real life? I always found them kind of awkward.
 
@Jody Parks sx_lemans track boundaries are really restrictive. you get penalty very easy. you could have included more kerbs.

Car now has fully functioning lighting (via Shader Patch) i.e. headlights, tail/brake lights, indicators, reverse, (all with cast light on the ground), interior lighting i.e, gauges, central dash switches, AiM G-Dash (on steering wheel) RGB with 7 colour possibilties (switched with the Extra light B,C & D key assignments (set in Content Manager under settings/Assetto Corsa/controls/patch) Extra light A switches on extra switch lights on the central dash panel. Functioning digital odometer on analog speedo gauge. Fixed the wheel blur, replaced the brake discs with conventional solid discs (as per race rules), realigned suspension components, updated/improved textures, fixed car model mesh holes, fixed misalignments of textures on all livery skins, fixed body and tyre shadows, modified shifter animation so linkage also moves, and aligned it with driver's hand, created 16 segment font for the gear indicator and custom fonts for the AiM G-dash display and digital odometer, added seat belts, etc, etc....

there is this buggy editor i made, maybe its usefull for somebody:

AutoEditor v2.1 (5. may 2019) (dl at the bottom)

Poor mans Line Editor. Freeware program for automatic text manipulation via masks and counters. INI manipulation, search and replace, filter, open save, browse ... usefull for fast generating of a lot of text.

It can open a kn5 or fbx too, it uses included "Kn5Unpack.exe":
if kn5: unpack, if binary fbx, convert to ascii,
then it scan's the resulting ascii fbx and you get a list of Meshes and Materials + existing dds filenames (leaving behind the unpacked stuff, if kn5 ;)).

Feel free to report bugs/request features.

important edit/tip:
The exported fbx from "AutoEditor" (it uses 'kn5Unpack.exe' for that; inside the archive) can NOT be loaded with ksEditor/modded ksEditor!
You must import, then save(export) with Blender/3dSmax/other 3D-sw first!
Same goes for "3DSimEd", it's export fbx file wil not load in ksEditor.

Wow! That is amazing! Thanks for sharing these … I have to admit though that most of this goes well over my head currently but I hope to learn ;-)

Why awkward? For fictional tracks it's like a whole extra track for relatively little additional work (and they can feel completely different to the normal layout), but there are a couple of mods on RD to add reverse ribbons to real tracks too (eg Kunos's Barcelona GP).
I love it when tracks have reverse options.
 
Do the Shift 2 conversions suffer from that brightness thing that was being discussed a few dozen pages back?
