Patrick, I think you only need to check a CM settings check box at:

Settings - Content Manager - Dev and check the box named "While analyzing, check some extra cars' details".

That was it! Thank you so much!!

is it just me or is sharemods completely impossible to download from without some sort of outrageous malware?

EDIT: Figured it out. gotta press the download button like 17 times to avoid the malware page and actually get to the download page.

I've never had any issues getting malware from sharemods with uBlock Origin. Antivirus software is great, but I compare adblocking and antivirus to using a condom and the morning after pill. Prevention is the best medicine ;)

Hey guys, can someone help me? I've been trying to add pits to a track, I succeded on that, but at first I didnt think too much about textures but after converting and doing evrything in 3ds max, I tried to do a run in the map and the map now looks like this, can anyone help me?

This is when I exported with 3DSim, it look like this on 3DSimED

This is when I installed and tried the track

I realized 3DSimED is garbage, thanks.

I missed this, been waiting for some normal replay cams thanks. Works fine here, are you using the 44 pit version posted here? If so you also need to copy the camera.ini into the "..\assettocorsa\content\tracks\willow_springs\big_willow_44pits\data\" folder. If not make sure when you are extracting the cameras that you have the camera.ini file in "..\assettocorsa\content\tracks\willow_springs\big_willow\data\"

Sorted, thank you.
Really cool replay cam, i like how you can see the whole race play out with a far back camera view.

It's been a busy few days... Porsche 968 Turbo S re-work: https://mega.nz/file/7t1FXDyS#28gT1Aj3h141Dbn--Ane5CrTslImdH_P8jhqX72WSmQ

Changes:
- Visually, numerous shader corrections and updates, for example making all windows transparent.
- Transplanting the frankly offensive wheels that came with the original model for those off the 993 Carrera from A3dr.
- Corrections/updates to pretty much all data, from dimensions/weight, to engine, power, drivetrain, ai, aero, tyres, suspension, handling, brakes and electronics. Car now tops out at around 175mph, lapping my test track somewhere between the E92 M3 and M4 BMWs (it's a short course where the low weight of the Porsche gives an advantage).
- Added LODs, more paint options and changed the sound to something more fitting.
- Original credit to Lu Thua Kien and Dragster666 for bringing the car to AC. Considering they animated the headlights, wipers and doors/bonnet/boot, the car in its current state is actually pretty good now.

This update is wonderful. The sound is real nce now, physics i believe are awesome. And the model is getting close now.The front bumper intakes need to be open, and maybe the interior materials need some tweaks.
Thanks for the grat update!

I just drove the turbo model around Modena for a few laps. Overall I think it's pretty good for a street version.

My sim system features a Logitech Z906 7.1 audio system.

I like the audio of the turbo version and that the rear channel is used quite a lot, especially for the engine and turbo sounds.

The only critical things I can find with the audio is that there's a strange, very pronounced "thump" when you re-engage the clutch, and the higher engine audio sounds a little "buzzy."

I'm glad you like it, I'm not a sound guy and not overly happy with it either. It's just the Alfa 4C sound from Kunos and as that's a semi auto, it makes a bit of a weird sound as you say when engaging the clutch.

Wonderful. I was hoping someone would tackle this one, please continue with additional updates. Perhaps it's just my settings but some of the interior textures seem too glossy, especially the steeering wheel...

Ran a few laps around Willow Springs and it's like a totally different car to the one that was released then abandoned.
I can't really tell how it looks in 2D (yep - Rift still borked) but it's an obvious improvement.
I can put the Rift on my head and use it like TrackIR, using my monitor to see so could have half a look (in 2D) around the cockpit and the only things I spotted that might need attention were the alpha channel around the steering wheel badge and purple nasties around the ignition key.

View attachment 912530

Externally (much easier to view in 2D) it looks superb. The pop-up light casings (the 'shells') should ideally be body-coloured, not universally black - don't know if this is an easy update or not?
Thanks again for the updates, can't wait to experience it properly in VR.
2D, 4k or not, truly sucks Satan's ass.

Fancy tackling the Turbo RS..? ;)

Took another look and certainly agree with @Masscot's comments about how much better you've made it. And it's great to pop open the engine bay to take a peek at the cool engine model. While taking a deeper dive I noticed that you enlarged and corrected the collider to make it much closer to the actual dimensions but neglected to reposition the fuel tank. It's currently in the front around where the radiator should be. I imagine that if you move it back to the rear that should help improve a bit of the understeer it currently has. Look forward to your future updates.

Thanks for the positive feedback. On more significant exterior changes, like opening up the front grille or creating the Turbo RS, I'm just not there yet, I can swap bits from different cars in and out in blender, or delete things I don't like, but that's my current level. In general I'm looking to complete work on an absolute bucket load of cars, like literally 1000+ so once an upload is completed, for me it's finished. I hope that doesn't sound rude but I've got so much to do that unless I've totally messed something up, I'm unlikely to revisit a mod (the VX220 is an exception as I own one).

On the interior, as I said in a previous post, I use bonnet camera so unless the interior is so bad as to ruin replays, I'm not really fussed with it. If someone or a group of people want to team up and take responsibility for dealing with interior issues on my uploads then that's great. In general, I'm not fussed with being credited or people changing my uploads without permission, I'm never going to put a paypal link for donations or make people jump through hoops to get my re-works. So if one of you wants to fix the fuel tank position, shaders and headlight case and then re-upload, then please do.

When the race starts to load, I get this warning.
efi8.png

And the, Race cancelled message.

Checking the Data folder lod.ini is there with this inside.
v1hj.png

This happens with all 3 cars. Any tip, please.

Cheers,
Paulo

Can't be sure but that first error looks like you still have the borked folder structure from my original version of the cars. Did you do a clean install or try to drop the updated cars into the old folders? Try deleting the cars altogether and doing a fresh install.

Does anyone has the performace data file for a balanced NSX GT3 against Kunos's GT3s? That thing is either ... slow (using another custom data.acd here) or blasting pass them like a full-on Prototype (it's even competitive against GT1s @_@). Thank you in advance :gtpflag:

Wow the mapping and textures on this car are a mess! Anyway I had a spare hour this morning and fixed some of it:

  • Removed front intake covers in bonnet and bumper (now just black blanking plates, better than body colour)
  • Moved fuel tank to rear
  • Cleaned up skins
  • Re-did body map textures
  • Fixed steering wheel badge
  • You can now paint your own skins any colour you like in CM
  • Had to re-do the LOD's because of the changes above

Let me know of any problems I may have introduced, the physics data other than the fuel tank move is untouched.

Glad to see this car receiving more love. Did you happen to fix the steering wheel badge transparency and the purples around the ignition key?

I didn’t have time to do anything else I’m afraid.

EDIT:

Those were easily fixed in CM Showroom, I'll update my link in a few minutes - done.

Hi
The first plan was only integrate day and night, but plan changed somehow..

singapore_2020 1.0
Marina bay street circuit

This track requires stFlow shader and ksPerPixelMultiMap emissive shader.
stFlow shader
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/stflow-shader.23999/
PerPixelMultiMap with Emissive map
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/perpixelmultimap-with-emissive-map.22791/

If play is heavy, I'd like you to turn off some lights material and animations.
I didn't understand adjustment because appearance has changed a lot at new CSP version.
I'm testing by using __sol_ACC ppfilter with very strong glare changes.

Yes GIBBONS, first I deleted old version. Anyway, , will try to delete and reinstall.
Will give the feedback later.
Thank you.

I'm not getting crazy with it. I'm going to bump the final, leave it be and make a new one with more power to please the small few people who liked it but thought it wasn't enough.
I'll try the setup and see how it works out.
I usually do the setup in the ini files and get the car close to neutral while making it and then edit the setup.ini parameters to allow an adjustment up or down from there.

You can always tell when the modder doesn't know his setups from a grilled-cheese sandwich when the values are right up against the upper or lower stops and he is too lazy or too stupid to change it. Like when the default setup has the spring weights at the min or the max, or the bars or the brake balance or the cambers. I mean, some things, like final-drive ratios or aero settings are dependent on the track conditions or individual preferences, but when you've set all the values for 'loose' and the car still heads straight for the fence at every turn, you know the modder doesn't know nuttin'.

Can anybody explain what this means? Do they use regular AC, or was software modified in some way for/by them? If so, will it be possible to get those modifications for us mortals, or at least the cars, tracks? Those will surely be created from scratch. Doubt they will use amateur mods :

http://gotransam.com/news/Trans-Am-...SFgKmMccD-l9JtKlSyMXaHOtVrGIZ7pPNiC1zYoxIxQ2M

Did you watch the first race yesterday? You might be able to tell from the coverage whether or not it's box-stock AC or modified. Like, is there a pace car or do they enforce full-course yellows?

Awesome!!I will take it for a test drive. Thanks!

If you use the Content Manager, it has a wonderful section "Mods"! I sign the folder "Sol 1. *" and add to the "Mods". Then I activate, if I do not like it, I switch to the old version! Also with all the mods in the game - you can always return to another version without losing anything! Do not forget about this feature in the CM.

is it just me or is sharemods completely impossible to download from without some sort of outrageous malware?

EDIT: Figured it out. gotta press the download button like 17 times to avoid the malware page and actually get to the download page.

Sharemods is like that. Be careful you don't click on the malware; the contact point often jumps around under your cursor.

Are U guys using any ad blockers? I use Ublock Origin and Poper Blocker. With those I only have to click twice once to confirm download, then click free download. I don't get any ads or popups at all, altho Ublock showed it blocked 15 requests and Poper blocker stopped at least 1 popup. These progs are both free and easliy obtainable thru a google search.

Edit: looks like @Spyrious beat me to the recommendation by a few secs :-)

Useful extensions to avoid annoyances like these:
uBlock Adblocker: Besides blocking ads, you can right click and remove certain objects permanenty. I've completely stripped Sharemods to just a header and a "free download" button. Remember to whitelist good sites.
Poper Blocker: The most useful part of this is overlay removal. Many websites have transparent overlays that trick you to click a link instead of what's on the screen. This gets rid of all. I even use it to avoid paywall overlays in journals.
Universal Bypass: Skips the "wait 10 seconds" or "solve captcha to access" sites by remembering what the link leads to. You only have to endure them if you're the first user to click. Which is pretty rare anyway.

I've been using this trio for a long time now. They are must-have.

Edit: Spyrious and LiquidSkyMan suggested exact same extensions before me .
