This game is a constant delight of new experiences. Tonight: Sierra RS500 Group A cars at classic Monza. Superb.

My last stand out delightful experience was just the other day, taking the Aston Martin DBR1 S (smallblockhero modified version of DBR1 with about an extra 100bhp) up the Transfagarasan. Actually had hairs standing up on my arms near the top of the run, that thing is an animal :D

Oh and I suppose my first 25 laps of Magione in the DRM Lancia Beta, I love that thing. Oh and also that same Lancia on Rostock Osthafenkurs starting from the back of a full DRM grid.

You're right, it's a constant delight :D

The URD is the only one out there, very nice but 2013, would be great if some one would do the 2018. I enjoy driving the DTM way more than GT’s, particularly now that we have pit stops and all which we did not when URD did this mods.
This career with access to all mods (for free) looks very interesting, http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/btcc-championship-2018-british-touring-car.20499/
...now that T7R's BTCC mod has updates! v10 tyre updates are available in the latest proTyres ini app update. Plus the sound fix is available on RD. I just don't have the visual updates (cams, shaders, LODs) by Assetto Corsa Fanboy (on YouTube). The files are no longer available in the links on his YouTube channel. Does anyone have the BTCC v1.1 fixes by Assetto Corsa Fanboy?

Last night's delight for me was driving the V8 Supercars, with the new 2018 liveries, around Nordschleife and Monza. Both tracks with the (new for me) winter scenery. I also updated the GBW Suite to the latest version, so I was trying some of the new weathers out. So immersive!

https://assettocorsa-land.wixsite.com/assettoland/cars Assetto land comes back in style ---- POWER TO THE PEOPLE

It's still down for me. Even if they came back, I think a lot of the old contents they have archived will be gone and they have to start from scratch again. Such a waste of good effort.

Luckily I scoured the whole website back in January, but I must have missed a handful of good cars between then and now. There's also a couple of cars that I don't feel to strongly about at first, so I left it for later download and now that's gone too :(

That's what I'm waiting for too. Currently have two different versions of the IoM and both aren't good enough for my standards. Maybe I'm too spoiled.

The only reason why I was looking forward to the bike game is so we finally have an up to date HD version of the track for modders to rip to AC  Currently I have the Rainmaker version (which is based on the GPL version Jim Pearson made many many moons ago), it has good scenery and track mesh BUT it's a truncated version of the original track with only the important corners (it's around 30km vs the real 60km). Then I have the more recent version by Frank1463, which is the full 60km BUT trackside scenery is lacking and it suffers from physics issues because of the track size. Both version also suffer from some wall collision issues (your car would get stuck and you would get reset to the pits). So yeah, waiting for a "perfect" and definitive version. I'm not sure the physics issues could be sorted, but at least the track geometry and scenery will be alright.

Saw this on FB. Someone is working on proper wet versions of Nordschliefe, Zandvoort, Monza, Spa, Brands Hatch, Vallelunga, Silverstone and Imola.

Looks promising..!

With screenshots like that, who needs AC Competizione? :D Seriously though, amazing work if they manage to get the simulation in addition to the visuals right. Hopefully it won't just be a simple grip reduction ala rFactor wet mods.

BTW, someone ported Forza's Rio track to AC. Unfortunately, it's the same guy who has been porting the Wangan expressways and he's not sharing the link.

The full Shuto with last area connected (Minato Mirai) is also done, but no link :grumpy:

He also ported the city tracks from GRID 2 and GRID Autosport. Again, no link or any intention to share whatsoever 👎

Honestly, what's the point of showing the world videos if you're not gonna release the track? All that work and only to play by yourself??? I don't know how some people's brain works.

To balance the disappointment, here's one track that is actually shared. Skyflightmusic is back with his fifth touge (Dousoujin). Personally I find they are a bit on the short side, but still fun nonetheless. Would've liked to see more Initial D touges though. I know the idea is to introduce people to obscure roads that are still good to drive, but boy can we use his skills to port over ID tracks.

Ooh! We need the GTP detective crew to track down those circuits as a matter of priority!

I know right, preferably someone with Japanese skills so they can infiltrate his secret circle and "accidentally" copy his mod and "leak" it to the outside world :D

While I was trying to dig around (with no avail sadly), I did stumble upon this excellent Japanese site: http://nijigengamer.x.fc2.com/assetto_corsa.htm
There's quite a LOT of cars on there, probably on par with AssettoLand's collection before it got taken down in terms of diversity. Not sure about the quality though.

Also found this google drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B59AAnhcD8JgSXRCRG1yRDRJOUU
Has some miscellaneous cars and touge tracks, including Tail of the Dragon Pass (aka Deal's Gap). Converted from rFactor but it's a proper good conversion. 11km of twisty backroads for your driving enjoyment :D

Also one more touge. This one's pretty short, comparable to skyflight's creations. It's Yabitsu touge - if you're a fan of Initial D, it's the first race of Fifth Stage (AE86 vs NB Roadster and RX7 vs EVO VII). It's only a section of it in the middle, the most famous section due to its panoramic view of the surrounding area, hence the name Nanohanadai skyline. It's pretty narrow, so probably not so good for side by side racing. But for drifting and cat-and-mouse racing it's pretty good.

Enjoy!

I was curious to compare same car maked by 2 different payware modding team. Cars are mainly very close by performance. It was little bit hard to fight with RSS expressed understeer! Unfortunately i"m finished the race in the wall .

That is very intresting. Is the RSS version your favorite and are the other two superior in any aspect?

The layout of that site makes me miss Assettoland even more. It's so hard trying to determine which cars I already own, but I'm pretty sure I haven't got this sexy-looking Scirocco.

Just my damn luck that the download link is broken! Bah!
Anyone have it?

Speaking about a Paris layout i barely remember the news (GTplanet?) few month (or a year?) ago that a studio had modeled the entire streets of Paris intra-muros but this map was only for professional content...

I would love to cruise in my city and since the open-road map aren't that much represented by the mods, i wonder where can i find those track...

EDIT: i found the news: https://www.gtplanet.net/rfactor-pro-now-includes-laser-scanned-recreation-paris/

That would be terrific!

I just saw Autumn Ring pop up on RaceDepartment, looking at the thread there was a fix for the AI but the link has gone now so I've asked for it, I'm aware of Grand Valley and Trial Mountain also being over on RD, are there any more GT tracks available for AC?

https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/autumn-ring.89111/
https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/grand-valley-speedway.148917/
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/trial-mountain.2348/

There appears to maybe be a (bad looking) Deep Forest!

From memory only those 3 atm. There was also HSR, Midfield and SSR5 for rFactor, but they haven't been converted yet AFAIK.

Got the link for that Deep Forest track btw?

I didn't get it but... I got a link ! ;-)

It seems from Assetto Garage and unfortunately there is probably no exterior sounds.

Man, that car has too many problems to list, but after running it through CM's analyser, applying the fixes and changing the audio, it's actually a lot of fun to drive. Looks-wise it's just about passable in VR if you ignore the biggest cockpit issues, and AI cars look fine in spec races. I love these wide, squat racing hatches so will probably drive this a lot.

It's a LOT of fun around Mid-Ohio.
I've got three versions of this track and one of them has THE best road texture with lovely dark tarmac and skidmarks everywhere. It really makes it feel like a track that's had a lot of use - you can almost smell the brake dust. The physics mesh is superb, too.

Humm, It sounds good for Mid-Ohio.
I kept a great feeling from the VLM version in rFactor, It seems... thousand centuries ago ! :D

RSS is close to Kunos, and Kunos is close to reality, that"s what we need in sim racing. I still didn"t have time to test better AG mods but it should be on the same level i hope.

Thanks for sharing. Do you know creator/modder of these cars? I'm more likely to download if it is modder that I rate highly.

2 very good quality tracks for your driving pleasure:
Dubai Autodrome

Curitiba

Posted by HemiR in F1classics forum. Tracks were converted (from?) for private league use. Now available to the public!

^^ Ooh - Dubai!
That's been a glaring omission in AC up until now. Nice one!
Wonder if it's a rip from Project CARS?

A lot of those Japanese car mods that were posted yesterday are really good. The modders have obviously put a lot of work into them.
