A question for those that know... please advise what's the sharing-protocol consensus when it comes to RD members asking for the track-or-car mod - when posting cameras and liveries on that site?

example - been asked link for @norms' 996 Porsche or just now, the Detroit circuit...

whichever way the answer goes - totally understand - thank for the advice.

I suppose it depends on the "modders" requests or as some people interpret as rules. I don't care where anything I work on gets shared, the more the merrier in my opinion! The 996 is on Assettoland, but it would be nice if my original mediafire link was shared though as if I update it, the link will be the same and people will get the latest version. ACU also doesn't care who shares his tracks. Just don't post any links directly on RD or they'll probably be removed with a possible warning?

Has anyone seen such a mod Ferrari 250LM 1965?

is the detroit city map optimized? or is it the old not optimized one? i legit work downtown in Detroit and cannot wait untill im off work (from home ofc because of the zombie outbreak) and want to drive a car down there and see all the streets and stuff. if they added all the resturants and stuff that is like a dream come true. so many days ive been stuck in traffic down there and just wanted to race car the whole place. i rly rly hope its some updated version or something

Any idea where it was converted from? There's an ACC port in progress but this doesn't look like ACC assets.
It's from rFactor 2. Half the track was laser scanned, the AC (and ACC) version unfortunately is not. The assets and (especially) the trees don't look that good, but the track itself is much more accurate than the one in AC, and especially the 2020 version from RD. Also the gras/asphalt borders can use some work, unfortunately I'm not capable of doing this myself though otherwise I would've done it. I'll leave that to the more capable modders!

There is a updated version:

Zandvoort 2020
Update:
- Added sets of trackcameras
- Redone shaders
- Added SAFER barrier in final turn
- Added Tecpro-barriers
- Fixed wall in final turn
- Various small fixes and improvements

small world to say the least... (by the way) hi megolito - hope you're doing well in spite of current ordeals been felt across the US and elsewhere... if you were referring to this post, then, it's an optimised image of the actual sim-track (from way high above the clouds), overlayed with an image of the actual track-map... a bit of relative scribble and voila! keep well and keep-on-racing...

Cool.
But not only RSS.
A little 'black mirror' affected car list from the last days:

gue_bmw_m6_gt3_acc
acflpine_a110_gt4_bop (and non BOP version)
rtm_arta_garaiya_gt500
gtp_xbow_gt4
lancia_lc2_85
bmw_mini_f56_jcw
ag_reanult_meganetrophy16
rw_seat_600_hillclimb
tmm_octavia_cup_2018
ftruck_mercedeslseries

Btw: for the interested: the KART CROSS is now available at AssettoLand.

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, but do you happen to have downloaded the kart cross for assetto corsa ? I've searched all over the internet and cant seem to find it, or anything like it.

thank you

So... Where can I find that mythical R32? :D I've been longing for a nice one for so long :(
Shed a set of tyres up! :D

I didn't know you were in Detroit. Coming from Canada or are you in Michigan? I'm 40 mins North of Detroit. No zombies up this way. This is optimized, for me at least. Didn't have any problems running it. Has the princess riverboat and everything. Hilarious tearing it up down there in AC. :P
Stay safe down there!

Guys, the VAO files here https://github.com/ac-custom-shaders-patch/acc-extension-extra-vao, does CM use the folder name of the track as the flag to download a particular VAO file for a particular track? For instance, I've got a Shibuya track (folder name 'shibuya_GRiD'), and I noticed there there is a 'Shibuya.vao-patch' patch in the github repo, but it is not listed as installed in CM. Would I have issues if I download these manually and install them? What would happen if I happen to use an incorrect VAO on a track.

The VAO file uses the name of kn5 file that that VAO file has been made from. There's no problem instaling them manually and the best place to put them is in the track folder, unless you want them getting randomly updated with other people's versions. If you do want them to get updates via CM, then put them in the extensions/vao folder.

There is post in this forum of the updated version posted by Mascot.

Edit: or there it is.

I was literally looking at your Detroit post and wondering why I hadn't got this track yet.

Actually dude, did you say you had a VAO and a config for this one? Also what was that VAO maker thingy called?

Guys, @ales100i and other folks good at creating mixed mod grids; I love taking different mods that have classes that can go together in a grid. One thing that has always escaped me is how to get their starting fuel and usage to be the same or similar. I know there is the fuel section of the car.ini and also the setup.ini. But for whatever reason, no matter what I put in there, some cars are still starting with 120 when I'm trying to set them to 30, for instance. Can anyone point me in the right direction if what I'm trying is possible?

AI Fuel Calc

Load a short, but representative of the, type of track that the class of car runs at. Let the AI drive your car and open the 'Race fuel Monitor' App. After a certain amount of laps the FxL value should stabilise. Use this number and the length of the track to get kilometres per litre and add that to fuel_cons.ini.

May require more subtleties than that as I have only just worked it out and now have to do this for all the 200 odd cars that I have lent my name to. :scared:

I'm having an issue with the Ai toggle... Ai control doesn't work, ... in the selected gear. There is a way to have this thing working?...

I have found that you need to toggle the automatic gearbox on before turning the AI control on.

Hi @Elio92 , @imported_ApexVGear !

First of all, thanks for your feedback! I play with FFBClip app on so I wasn't aware of the clipping problems, I'll immediately fix this!

The car is very rigid (maybe too much for AC) and this lead to easy lost of control over bumps. I'll try to fix this.

About braking, I strongly advice to put brake power at 75%, this is what Renault adviced in their base setup. Unfortunately, there's no way (or at least I'm not aware of it) of putting a given default brake power in AC, so you'll have to put it yourself in the setup screen.

I'll try to release a fix as soon as possible.

Thank you.

The default brake balance is set here:

data.acd
-> brakes.ini
-> [DATA]
-> FRONT_SHARE=0.58 ; Percentance of brake torque at front axis

If you want to set a 75% Front Brake Bias, use this:

FRONT_SHARE=0.75

Of course you also have to make sure that your setup.ini has set the boundaries of available brake bias setting to allow for your set brake bias in brakes.ini to be legal.

If you set your brake bias in brakes.ini to 0.75 and have your min / max brake bias in setup.ini set to 0.55/0.65 then the car will load into a sessin with a 0.65 brake bias and 0.75 will never become available.

It is best practice to disable items in setup.ini when building physics from scratch and rebuild each item in setup.ini one by one once your default physics setup of the car is spot on, otherwise you will be juggling way too many balls at once and may get lost ;-)

Help Needed
This happened suddenly after playing AC for a few hours, then I tried to wait it out since yesterday but appears to be having the same unexpected error window popping out after loading screen.

Is there anything I can do? (tried turning off the computer and back on, still the same)

So have all the set up databases gone kaput? Used to be so good for set ups but now for the latest version i see none work properly.
Trying for the 458 italia at monza then the porsches at zandvoort. Slowly working through all the achievements because my ocd hates seeing them with no passed circles on them.

Hello friends, this is Renzobich. I invite you to try my bugatti, I would like to advise you that it is my first mod, it lacks a lot of work ... because in Assetto Corsa there is no Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4, it motivates me to create it myself. .. I would really like if you could improve my mod ... I would really appreciate it ...
