Got a new pc arriving tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure everything is fine if i just download CM & CSP again, then copy/paste the folders over. I know i'll need to do that for the files under the game save location & CM install location. I believe those are the only places i need to copy over? Any help would be appreciated.

VW Beetle version 3.0 updated from assetto-fr.tk

This little gem has flown under a radar a bit i think. It's been out for a couple of months now on Assettoland and at least i didn't take time to drive it with all the excellent content coming out daily. But i'm sure glad i finally did. This is such an addictive fun car, well made in every aspect, that i just had to advertise it here. If this is your cup of tea, be sure to try it. Here's my lap around Tsukuba. Great track/car combo:

Find it on Assettoland, first car in VW category:

https://assettoland.wixsite.com/assettoland/volkswagen

Thanks for pointing this out. A gem indeed. I saw this Beetle on Assettoland some time ago but thought "Nah, not interested. I've got some Beetles and they will do."

This is a thing I have realized lately: one should NEVER dismiss a car in AC thinking that this is not my cup of whatever one is drinking. Every car must be tested once, or one will keep missing loads of these great cars.

Just yesterday I downloaded Beto's Focus Mk2-pack. Beforehand I was thinking "Nah, some boring Focuses, I've got one of them and it will do." Then I found out about these super cup- and TA-monsters in this pack, and it's overall superior quality and felt like kicking myself; I almost missed another bunch of awesome cars due to my prejudice.

Never doing that again!

Beto is an artist and he pulls some crazy witchcraft with ffb settings of his cars. Just next level of realistic feel of the wheel. Ironically his most advertised and latest car, the 488, is IMO the worst (wrong word: least good) of all his cars for that very reason. Not talking about the looks of the car, that's top level as always

But I agree with you. Especially Assetoland is such a mixed bag of quality, that I am normally very sceptical of every car I pull from there. But in the last 6 months or so I think they did start to implement some sort of quality control. They don't just host every car that comes out. Which was not entirely the case before.

I'm having that problem on Maple Valley (improved version from March) and Le Mans 1989. It's weird.
Car pictured is the Kunos Alfa 155 btw.

Yes like the first picture. I don't have a fully blue opaque windshield. (edited : see below)
On tokyo track, it happens with several cars (mod or kunos).
I think it's a CSP issue because if I uncheck it (all CSP), then windshield is ok.
And for tokyo in particular, seems related to animated object.

edit : just tried Maple Valley and I have the same issue than you. And guess what ? heli objects in maple valley :)
simple fix, in models.ini, remove model 8, 9 and 10 (for objects heli_yellowfly.kn5 , heli_hughesfly and heli_redfly)

edit2: tested singapore 2020 where there's also heli in the sky. no issue.
So both tokyo and maple which are using the same kn5 and almost the same ext_config.ini gives issues.

I had the same issue at one point and re-enabling and/or checking Shadows box under windscreen fx section resolved my issue.

Wow, a lot of attention on those Denver tracks all of a sudden, haha. There's a lot of work still to be done on those, but they are pretty rough and I've learned a lot about Race Track Builder since I built those. The problems with them that I can see are:

The building models all came from sketchup 3dwarehouse so for a proper release I'd probably need to seek permission to use them. (After looking into this actually it looks like anything posted to 3dwarehouse is free to use so maybe not this one)
The textures from those models are all a bit blurry, but worse is that they are jpg/png so a massive conversion to compressed DDS needs to be done.
a lot of the textures are also just kind of bad and need to be edited. stuff like trees and parked cars on the side of buildings, etc
I didn't know a lot about how race track builder worked when I built these things so elevation on the side of roads is a bit... crappy looking.
As mentioned a few times AI is awful in indycars on these tracks, and with indycar being their intended purpose... pwned. I've already unrealistically widened a few sections and the AI cars still pile up there. I don't know enough about AI hints and stuff so maybe that could fix it.

I also went nuts and made it so the entire downtown area in the downtown street circuit casts shadows. due to the way i imported it into RTB most of the buildings are just one big object. Given enough time and motivation I'd probably want to go back and do that in a more optimized way, only having the ones closest to the track casting shadows.

the road lines are currently done with "string object" paint lines in RTB and I think going back and doing them with a material would make them look a bit nicer.

You guys are making me want to go back and redo these tracks...

Anyone knows what logo is this? I am looking for a hi res version of this to complete my skin. I even tried google image search but still unsuccessful.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/533317170764054539/711149145523748885/soluninstall.bat

===

===

Sol 1.6 beta + 1.5.4

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3esblyewtl30r80/Sol 1.6 beta + 1.5.4.7z? dl = 0 [/ QUOTE]
Ora funziona per me.

Spiegazione utile @B_Isak [/ USER]! [/ QUOTE]

Friends heartfelt thanks .. now it finally works I can enjoy the new version of sol, thanks again ..

I searched this track (I appreciated it a lot on Race 07) via the "search box" of this forum, It costs nothing but some (little) time..!
I wrote it like a wink for some lazy people here. ;)

By the way, the track is excellent It's a great work on it. 👍

Hi ! :)

After putting some wheels seriously today (yesterday was for a quick one, will it be worth keeping it !?), I noticed two things which doesn't matter to me, but you must be aware about them to be "clean".

After the end of the (long) pitlane close to the boxes (and not for going to the track)... I got an "intuition" and YES a hole straight to the hell ! ^^

The crew is very (very) close to the garage.

Cheers !

I am 1 hr in. But i was thinking of building my very first track. Can’t find lidar data for assisi so decided Chernobyl fantasy track. I haven’t seen if you pull it up yet but I’m downloading the game and hope i can get my g27 into it. But if not then I’m going to make my own Chernobyl to learn blender.

No way I have a Chernobyl track (what don't I have at this point) it's likely to never get finished, but I have literally all of the buildings in an Xpack for RTB, so if you get to the point where you need them let me know and i'll send them over!

I had the same issue at one point and re-enabling and/or checking Shadows box under windscreen fx section resolved my issue.

I don't think it's the same use case because it happens with Windscreen FX totally deactivated on my side. (edited: see below)

So far, on my modified track, only one heli out of 4 need to be removed from tokyo and two from maple to remove the issue. I'm trying to understand what's going on and will try to keep everything.
FYI, issue exist with CSP 1.52 and 1.61 and sol 1.5.1 , 1.5.3 and 1.6 alpha5

edit : @DBag is right. In fact, Windscreen FX needs to be activated then issue goes away.
Successfully tested on Maple Valley and on some other tracks where heli_yellowfly kn5 exist.

@ParanoidDoge : could you check if it solves your issue also ?

You have three places to copy over. The main Assetto Corsa folder, your Content Manager folder in AppData (hiden folder) and your Documents Assetto Corsa folder. That should be all you need to keep it the way you left off. Registries should rewrite themselves.

Chernobyl was in the f1 mod. You saw it when you wrre scrolling through all the tracks.

As daft as it sounds Chernobyl has a place in my heart. I was parked up 40 kms south of it the night it went bang. Was going from Kiev to Moscow.

but please send them. I’m going to try to make a Chernobyl first track. Many thanks.

Hi Gutbomb,

With the AI, I have done several tracks that have narrow chicanes and tight tricky corners and got them to work. Open wheel cars are more tricky than GT type cars cause of them bumping of their tires instead of the car bodies. I kind of funnel down the side lines approaching the particular corner and then use AI Hints to slow them down. There are still going to incidents, but hopefully it minimizes them. I will see what I can do with the current versions of the 2 tracks. Be kind of a fun project and a learning tool for these two maps. Once the cars get single file, the crashes go away to the most part. take care Gutbomb.
