Question if I may. How can i stop the paddle gear shifts, shifting into neutral or reverse while I am moving forward (the way ACC, AMS2, RF2, PC2 etc etc does).

Data > drivetrain.ini ---
[DOWNSHIFT_PROTECTION]
ACTIVE=1

Edit: found it again in my notes: to prevent the shifting into neutral while moving, you need this line added:
LOCK_N=1

Roger that, @Masscot , I'll have a fix out in a few.
[EDIT] Actually, @Masscot , it may be a little later when I post the fix. I also want to fix the AI lines (they slow down erratically at points), and I'm going to add visible barriers to the chicane openings since those are not used in this layout.
When you remove the snow from the grass can you please check the road textures too? Some road markings and what look like oil spills also have bad alphas.
I think all of the trees might benefit from a brightness reduction and a contrast increase as well.
Thanks!

USA Stadium Dirt 2 Asphalt Version from Hexor Mods
20 Pits, 20 Starts, Hotlap, Ai, Cams, CSP Lights, CSP Grass, CSP Water

Like a lot of Hexor tracks it feels unfinished with a lot of obvious errors and glitches and weird textures, and of course has the signature pictures of Marc Almond dotted around for some reason.
As a hot-lap track the layout is fun, but it really needs some spit and polish to iron out all of the oddities.

Just got round to trying this. It's good fun but as you said could really do with some work. I remember it more from when Colin McRae rolled the scoob then the Dirt game. Hopefully we'll see it improved.

In the newest alpha the clouds are 3D by default. Moving forward it seems there will no longer be options to choose 2D vs 3D clouds.

Some weathers are a mix of 2D and 3D. As Peter explains, the 2D clouds are added in to catch the the colors of sunlight for more variation and depth.

Edit: This is noticible at sunset switching from "Few Clouds" 3D to "Partly Cloudy" 3D+2D.
I'm loving the new partly cloudy weather and how the light gets overcast with less harsh shadows and bright again as the sun moves in and out behind clouds.

I skipped on all the other alpha's but got the 1.6 (alpha 7) earlier. Wow, even going from 1.6 was a notable jump. I was confused about the missing 3d/2d clouds too but quickly forgot after seeing how much they've been improved. It's a really effective blend.

Is the latest update of Zandvoort rF2 conversion available anywhere? I seem to be missing the main track kn5 from the last time I downloaded it. I also seem to remember someone mentioning a few problems with the latest version (1.23? 1.24?) so is there a fixed version now?
Very confusing.

Thank you for this, now if I could read Italian it would help :-) But at least its a starting point, for when I am going to start to do Citta di aria.
However, that won't be for a while. I'm going to do a fantasy track first, so that some fanboy doesn't say its crap cause the building is 1 pixel higher or whatever. To do citta di aria justice, it needs to be very good. So the wreck of Chernobyl will come first. But thank you. My google fu let me down.

Thanks very much, that's the one. The GTP search engine is a little flaky at times.
Is anyone actively working to complete this track?
We're not working on it at the moment. In this last version the ability to do pitstops was fixed, but somehow we can't edit this version properly in Blender. There are some minor things that need fixing though. For example the kerbstone on the left side of the track after T3 seems to be named incorrectly as it's 'soft', and I'm sure there are other things too as well as making it look better (or add a racinggroove for example)

We're sure the guys at rF2 will update the track themselves too as there are still some wall pieces and Tecpro barriers missing. When they do so we're looking to implement them into this version. But other than that, we're happy to let anyone work on the track if they want to do so :)

There's one niggle with Sol. When the sun goes behind the clouds on few, scattered & windy (it sometimes does it when it's not behind any clouds), it's almost like an eclipse. The exposure drops probably 5x more then it should. Can that specifically be adjusted with a setting in sol config? I don't really wanna go adjusting anything at random when i don't really know what all the settings mean ha

I feel that you still misunderstand but maybe I misunderstand you.

You must install the new alphas cleanly, by completely remove the old version first.

Here is the easiest method. Place this file in the assetto corsa root foler (steamapps/common/assettocorsa/) and then run it. It will remove your old Sol version. Then manually install new alpha like usual and overwrite anything it still asks.

BIT OF IMPORTANT NOTE: You shouldn't run .bat files if you do not trust them or where they came from. I will not upload the file directly to this forum but I provide the link here for convenience, it is the link directly from the Sol Discord.
-Please navigate to the Sol Discord and find the file by yourself in the #releases channel if you have any worry or wish to verify that it is correct.

Edit: after I write this I just noticed Sol v1.6 now made it into beta and even contains the uninstall script inside the download:

===

Sol 1.6 beta + 1.5.4
reset your solconfig!

Please delete all sol... folders in \steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\weather
if you install from 1.6 alpha 1!
Just use the uninstall script, included in this pack

Use the weatherFX options to switch between Sol versions:

I did exactly what is writen. However, my sol keeps showing 0.8v ingame app while driving, all previous values are the same as were and my page 17 still showns only 3 sliding options, as below.

How can we see which sol version is installed in game?

Just my opinion but I think it's kinda fun just parking the car, getting out and messing with those settings. It seems like there's a lot of them but once you get familiar with them, you can fine tune your environment much faster. Just screenshot the page before you mess around to know where the original settings were. I believe you can fix that sun eclipse but I'm still on 1.5.(whatever), been hard keeping up with everything lately.

You could see here to begin with in the WeatherFX menu in CM:

By the way if you went with the Beta version, which I would recommend, you have now the ability to switch between 1.6 and 1.5.4 here so it is correct to see the two versions here. Both come with the download and can be configured seperately, they save their settings to seperate config files.

The Sol config 0.8 you show seems not the latest version which should display v0.87 now but the options on that page 17 is looking correct if you were selecting the Sol 1.5 version above.

You can also look here on the weather app:

I know the background is a bit bugged atm but you see in the info "Sol weather: v1.6 beta".

Check what it shows in CM first, maybe just need to reinstall only the apps, they should be included the Sol download.

To be sure, you did manually drag the folders into the AC directory and overwrite anything it asked? That is to mean the 'apps', 'content', 'extension' and 'system' folders further inside and not the first 'MODS' folder inside the zip. I don't mean to treat you like a fool if you already know to do all this.

This is an update for the Denver Pepsi Center street track that "Gutbomb" provided for us. This update now makes the AI cars go around the track better without any or minimum incidents. Cars that I have tested so are GT3 cars, and several of my F1 cars I have and seem to work pretty well. I did not need to use any AI hints on this track at this time and certain cars like Abarths or Mazda Cup may want to tip up on 2 wheels the first lap then they dont do it. Gutbomb tracks are on page 1041 if you dont have. This is the link to the original tracks on gtplanet.

This RAR file from my Google drive has the new AI files, new side lines, new SURFACES file, and has the new camera files by Dabaeda(work great). Just add or replace them into the proper track folders. This is the Google link.

My update seems to works pretty good so far. Ran 21 AI cars and went around the track very well. One thing I have noticed with the track is the pit entrance and exit is not meshed smoothly together with main track, so there is a bump on either end of the pits. Main track is very good.

Let me know if there are any problems.
Take care.

PS changed the google link properties, Does it work now?

Google Drive has changed it's share properties to default to restricted. You have to change the link when copying to "anyone with a link" setting or we can't get at it. I know, stupid.

Hi,

That was exactly what I've done.
In fact, in weather FX, now I have this.
8jbu.png

... So, it is ok.

But, in game, this is what I have.

In page 6, is still there the option to chose from 2D clouds or 3D clouds. The previous sol config.

Now I am confused. Thank you for the help. :) What should I do?

Cheers
