United Racing Design has a car pack with a GT3 style Porsche. It's a pay mod but cheap and pretty much as good as a Kunos car. The one ripped from Forza is kinda crappy feeling.

You'll get them in about 10 years. It's going to be a giant pain though, everyone having to share the one electrical outlet to charge them up. You'll probably have to unplug your G27 to let others borrow some electricity.

Finally
One of the most disappointing things about GT6 was the loss of the scalable mini-map. I never used my mirrors or looked back in GT5, I relied exclusively on a mini-map to show me what was happening around me. I hope this works as it will solve a lot of problems for me with cockpit view and knowing who is around me and their relative pace. EDIT: Just watched the YT video and it's even better than I thought. Invisible until needed!!

Tonight's progress. One question, on the items I paint black, can I go full 100% black or do I have to drop the opacity (or fill?) on the layer down to say 95% so some of the details underneath come through?

You might get an answer here, but the Assetto Corsa Support Forum has the highest concentration of modders and you're more likely to get an answer there or it may be there already.

I do not know about the thumbtack, it is up to the modder to do it, in the other apps is disappears.
But, if you want to remove the red proximity triangles, since they are not usefull with this app anymore, this is how:
"\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg proximity_indicator.ini Hide=1"
