Well, I’m always a little bit disappointed with some cars or... else !

AC, Is it for racing or cruising !?
Cruising is not my way.

For example I’m, since my childhood, passionate by planes and rockets and... I’m really not interested by Flight Simulator because for me, It’s boring and not involved in Kerbal Space Program because It needs toooooo much time to get some real enjoyment !

So, I’m not criticizing the pleasure to cruise and the real modders always got my consideration and huge respect to product some magnificent and mythical cars like above but... that’s not my way.

I’m still a beautiful mechanics lover, with gorgeous sounds like, for example, American V8 with fantastic rumbles but... for racing. ;-)
You can imagine the pain created by the sound of a V6 Turbo Hybrid in Formula 1 for my ears today ! ^^

Obviously, it’s always possible to re-create when we want, some « Bullitt » chases and... It could be cool indeed ! ;-)

Potentially daft question: how do I change the default gear ratios on a (mod) car?
The Praga R1 V8 has very short standard gear ratios and will redline in 6th very quickly. If I slide the Final Gear Ratio all the way to the right (10/32) then it's a much nicer car to drive. Still batsheet crazy, but nicer. I could save this setup but would have to remember to load it in each time I used the car, so how do I set it so these gear ratios are now part of the DEFAULT setup?

If you can't change rear ratio in the setup settings, then you can only do it with the gears.ini file.

There has to be a gears.ini file, unless there is a ACD.file in the mod's subfolder. AC loads .ACD-files as primary, because the data folder is from the older versions of AC.

It's not Gears.ini that you're after, it's Drivetrain.ini. There, you should find a list of each gear ratio near the top, presented like:
1st - 3.400
2nd - 2.600
3rd - 2.100
etc
You can also add more gears here if you wish, as long as you change total gear count as well (directly above the ratios).

On some cars, changing each gear and the listed final gear in drivetrain.ini doesn't do anything. If that's the case, then scroll down to Final.RTO and change those number instead. These ones can look like any of the following:

1-4 | 4.18
5-6 | 3.09

or

3.692|3.692
4.3637|4.3637

or

39/10 | 3.9
33/7 | 4.714

You sure that's based on the Kunos model? It looks pretty poor compared to the quality of Kunos SF70H. Also, the front wing is completely different to any Ferrari front wing I've seen, not just different to the SF71H. The 71 has a very similar front wing to the 70, so if this is based on the Kunos SF70H, they've changed the front wing completely for no apparent reason. I'm only going off the screenshots, but I'll download it and have a closer look, because I'm a huge aero nerd and F1 technical nerd. I know it probably doesn't bother most of you, but such glaring inaccuracies do bother me in a sim.

*Edited just to say that while I don't visit these parts as often as I used to, I still love you guys, and coming back here to find people sharing the rip off paymods for free has made me love you all even more. Cheers!

I can't show you a screenshot or anything because I can't access my pc atm but when you are at the CM "homescreen" there is the button where you can select your car. Near that there is a button called manage setups. If you click on it you get a screen with all the tracks and your setups for them. If you click on one setup ,at the bottom of the screen you should have an option to "set as default setup".
P.s. I never tried it myself and cannot access my pc atm so im sorry if you have trouble following my steps.

That's where I've already been looking. There's no option that I can see in 'setups' to change a new setup to be the default one.

I must have spent an hour yesterday ploughing through the CM menus trying to find a way to do it. It's the type of thing that CM offers and I'm guessing would be something simple to implement, so it must be in there somewhere..!

I saw one of these out on the road yesterday so took a look to see if I had a mod of it. Turns out I did, but have never driven it.
It's absolutely beautifully modelled (inside and out - the cockpit is superb) but there was something very odd about the power delivery.
Take a look at that torque curve, lol. How can such a pretty mod be released in such a state?
Anyone else have it and care to fix it?

That mod is probably just a rip of the DLC and then they slapped a tune on it
