Hello! I don't know if its a pay mod or not but someone knows or has the Jaguar XJR Le Mans the one that doesn't have the back wheels covered? i don't know the exact model but i think i've seen it somewhere.

I really like this track and it really deserves a little more attention...
Foremost, thought of placing all in a neat package - now we can move forward to further enhance this beauty.

Package now includes:
- 3 initial cams by @DaBaeda
- Grass config by @slider666
- 3 additional cams by racealot
- AI line (track & pits + ideal_line) by racealot
- VAO patch-file by racelot
- UI maps (outline and cropped) by racealot
- Screen background image by racealot

Attention needed in the following areas:
- track billboards (2005 era-skins)
- balloon & blimp package
- increase the PIT capacity

calling all types of talent on this thread, and anyone else that is up to it - no rush - thanks.
@Foxeway
@LiquidSkyMan
@mascot
@norms
@PepperoniAC24

I noticed there were only 2 pit/start dummies. I went ahead and added 22 pits and starts. Grab it here. It includes all the items from racealot's post. Contributors should add credits to the track_ui json. I added a note that I added the pit/start dummies. Let's see how far we can go with this track :P

[EDIT] link updated with lapping fixed.

Oh man thank you, much appreciated, now the track's usable for races too :bowdown:

New content from ACF? He's still in the game then?
Somebody else please pester him to release his Shift London track.

Hi Masscot, Curious question. I am pretty sure ACF version of the London track is better, but is the London Shift track
the same as what Gilles75 converted? I have Gilles track but does not have the night lighting that ACF does.

To Teddie, I have that original F1 world track 2013 somewhere in my track archives. Glad to see ACF is improving it. Subscribed to his channel.

Again just curious take care

Also calling @dathyr
What I am missing now the most are the green arrow turn indicators and the lights in the middle of the track. Racing at night is now nearly impossible. Could you bring these back please ? And also: all lights are gone now...
Good thing is that the massive rocks at the end of the pitlane (only visible with max world detail setting) are gone now...finally...;)

Shucks, I see what you mean Fanapryde. The night lighting for Area 51 track was incorporated within the original KN5 which I just tried. My edits must of disabled or turned them off. Thanks for the info. It would be better to do the lighting in the Config file. I am not too good at night lighting right now, but I can start learning on this track. Thanks for pointing this out.

Believe it or not, those massive rocks that you saw at the end of the pits was part of an enlarged pit crew sticking up that looked like rocks. The track pit stalls were flipped 90 degrees on its side showing what looked like rocks. There was nothing else there but the pit stall box.

Note: I have my developer mode turned on, so I can follow the blue fast lane at night and see all the red side lines. hehe

Oh, I thought this was from scratch based on something I saw a few weeks back about the F1 ultimate track or something. How is the quality of the original F1 world track 2013 for AC?

Let me see if I can find it, I thought I had this track for a while. I thought the quality wasn't that bad especially the Monaco section. but sure ACF will adding his magic touches on the track. If I can find it I will google drive it for you to look at.

Well, surprise, surprise! Sim Dream has a 'new' mod out: Formula Atlantic 1976. I played that mod alot on rfactor. I think it was done by HSO (Historic Simracing Organization) and was one of my favorites.

Hope everyone gets a free copy.
They also just released the 2003 F1 season... wouldn’t mind that one either

So, with these F1 seasons they keep releasing, where do we think they’re getting them from? My guess is that F1 challenge 99-02 mod with every single F1 season.

I have a problem though, I ran a quick race on the track, and the lap count never changes :confused:.. I mean it's always the first lap, like the laps are not recorded :boggled:..

This should fix the lap/timing issue. Although, there is some strange stuff with the start area. The start markers on the pavement are wayyyy ahead of the start/finish line. I'm not sure what is authentic, but for now, I just moved the start dummies back behind the actual start line/timing dummy. Maybe someone who knows the historic track can clear up the discrepancy.

Anyway, grab this update to have proper lapping:

I saw some talk of this a while back but was it ever fixed or is there even a possible fix? The glowing parts on several cars.

Holy crap. I was wondering who was going to attempt this. ACF doing a version of that F1 mashup.

Now we have gutbomb's brown hell and then we'll have this. We are spoiled racers. lol

What a mad lad. That'll be great, i'd also put my hat in for that London track though.

Works perfectly mate 👍

interesting post on kunos forum in the chit chat.

"Sim Dream Development (or Sim Dream for short) is a modding group who sell mods on their website assettocorsamodding.net. These mods are more often than not stolen, low-quality, and often ripped completely from other games and creators without permission. I'm pretty sure that selling content without the permission of the original creator is not only wrong but illegal, although I'm not 100% sure on the laws around this.

The community have known about them for years and afaik there was one attempt to shut them down after a mod creator complained. They changed their website name to assettocorsamodding.net (which was smart as it likely drives up traffic to their site) and have continued selling low-effort mods to unsuspecting racers. The mods on their website look good at first glance, but are cheap conversions from rFactor and Forza, with very little work done on the physics of the cars and how they drive in general. They're charging users $7-10 for each mod which is simply not worth it and I doubt that they have contacted the original creator before doing this.

I'm making this post because Sim Dream have now taken steps to falsely copyright strike other mod makers and content creators to take down their original content. A friend of mine recently received a copyright strike on YT for a mod review video that he had made which featured the GPL 1500cc mod by Bazza. This copyright strike was made by Sim Dream. His review fell under fair use but was still removed. Sim Dream's website lists the "Assetto Corsa Classic Competition Mod" which features several cars that have been taken directly from Bazza's GPL 1500cc mod without his permission. I'm not sure why they striked that video but I find it incredibly hypocritical that they did this considering that they steal content.

A few days later Sim Dream striked Bazza's mod that he was hosting on Mediafire and the file was removed. So, not only did they steal his mods but they've also taken action to remove Bazza's mods and claim they have the copyrights to them. I'm not sure how or why this is allowed to happen but it's totally wrong.

I'm hoping that this post exposes some of the wrongdoing of Sim Dream and creates a discussion on how we can stop them from profitting of the works of others. I wouldn't mind if they simply converted old mods from other games for free but they are actively making money and being di*** in the process. Let me know if you've had any negative experiences with their mods or services and hopefully something can be done.

TLDR: Sim Dream steal mods from others and create low-quality ripped versions that they then sell without permission from the original creators. They have recently abused the copyright system to issue false copyright claims on YT and against mod creators."

they are attacking now F1-Classic forum...

forumotion will shutt them out in 02/07/2020 just because SimDream act...
