Found this at Facebook, anyone can share a link to this car or is it a paid mod?

Hello friends, I am searching this word "Nemuno" in this thread and notice "No result" !!

Go and get a try for this hidden gem , this track is EPIC and include all the nice track elements should have and very very enjoyable track ! I highly recommend u try to use the DRM FREE mod car available @ DRM mod : https://www.drm-modding-team.com/ ( MAROD AERO ) and drive a round !

https://assettocorsamods.net/resources/nemuno-Žiedas.119/

This surely eye opening for me and just realize in fact a proper physics for a AC car without TRS & ABS can be so much fun even with GamePad !

Enjoy and stay safe !!

As the name suggests it is indeed converted from FM7. It's the one I keep installed. Imo it is the best available one for AC.
It is the best, but it's not perfect sadly. As suggested, there are a lot off small differences to other laser scanned tracks and real life, and the problem is, these are all in places that are very crucial for "surviving" the lap around that track, which is a challenge even without these. For example here are 3 big differences (that may not look as much, but are very important), that make driving a lap around the track much, much harder than it already is:
1. the "additional" hump at the top of the mountain before the Sulman corner, makes you loose traction with the road because of compression and it is to easy to hit the wall if you are not on ideal line, which in traffic you never are. The AI also almost stops here because of that instead of taking it almost full throttle like IRL
2. The Forrest elbow outer brick wall is to close to the track and has an overexposed "kink" in the wall right at the exit of the corner, which makes you crash into it if you go just a few centimeters to wide. And effectively this ends your lap or even race. Also forcing you and AI to go much slower and efectivelly taking away one of few overtaking places.
3. The off camber before the second corner in the chicane in The Chase is to extreme, which makes you spin if you are not on an ideal line. Which you are not, if you are in traffic. And that makes you loose another, probably the best overtaking place on the entire track.

I know this looks like really small niggling points, but they really are not. It changes the immersion completely. The track is difficult as hell to go through as is, and these three discrepancies make it almost impossible to drive on a limit in a competitive race. If you are alone on the track, this is not so crucial, as you are able to stay on an ideal line.

Don´t know if it is possible but do you think you also can rework the huge mountain in the background since it lacks of some proper high res texture?
Yeah, the mountains could do with a major res bump. I had a quick look but couldn't find anything suitable.

Maybe talking totally out of my ass, as i don't know how this is done and what you need, but since Aviano is very near to where I live ( a couple of 100 km), this track is situated under the Alps, and scenery and vegetation is very similar to other tracks in the region, namely the Red bull ring, Salzburgring or Magna Steyr. If it's any help, don't know.

Off topic here. But what is that in your mouth on your avatar's profile picture?

It's this Mappa_HD.dds that gets applied to the overall environment, including the mountains. It's a 4k texture but really needs to be 8k (or even 16k) it seems. That would make the file size HUGE though - it's already a 16MB texture. I guess the other way would be to redo the UV mapping so the close mountain can be textured separately?

dont know if its glass fault ,but i think you can remove it via cm so you wont have dirt on the glass, there is an option on the windscreen fx
Yeah, I know about that but always prefer dust/dirt on the windscreen for VR. I'll probably just copy the dirt texture from another M4.

If you're asking me, have no idea. Graphical design in general and in AC is a total blank for me. I thought you would like to replace the textures with some from another similar one, that's why I eluded to those that are similar, as under the Alps, the scenery is very similar. But as I said, that I may be talking out of my ass, I obviously totally was.

Yeah, for YEARS.
I converted them to GTR2 for myself, never shared because no permissions...but to charge...
Someone should buy and spread it around... (I think a few ppl on f1classics used to do that)

Basically take the incentive away. ..

Somebody "could" take this LMH mod and really fix it and release it... free-like :)

SimDream has never had good physics, they dont know how to translate physics or build their own.
I have most of their rips to rF and AC already, but all are unfortunately uninstalled due to mismatched models, eyepoints and physics.

As good as the FM7 Bathurst version is, there are a couple of parts where the "laser scan" aspect seems to have gone on holiday. (Its not a fault of the person who converted it, the fault is there in the original track on FM7).
yeah, that FM7 version was Reboot work, isn't it? and they are the GOATs
problem is in the main source of the track (Forza)
I saw that Jim wanna work again on Bathurst fixes probably basing on ACC version
so it remains to keep fingers crossed

Aviano track skin updated to v1.1 with the proper hi-res asphalt texture. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the skin and improvement. Really appreciated. :) 👍

Just a tip for those like me, who didn't pay attention - the "extras" download archive has the same name as the full track download file (posted here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ral-discussion.307899/page-1399#post-13166069 , which is at the 1.2 version now, by the way) - filename: aviano_cirquit.7z.

So, don't overwrite it or you'll have to download the track again if you plan to keep it.

Thanks for the link.

I asked because I saw pics of this car at Facebook and it has this great skin. This Porsche also has this nice skin color. Did anybody know where to get these skins or how is the color called?

Hoping anyone knows where to get, they look epic!

AFAIK (somebody correct me if I am wrong, please), unfortunately you have to be a member of the SRP Discord server to have access to these skins.

The links to the messages on the server are:

I have no invitation permisson/link for this Discord server.

Sorry, that's all I can do to help. :(

Give this skin a go. It's the same as the last one but with a new 8k terrain texture. Just select the 8k skin and make sure the other one isn't ticked as well.
It's four times sharper but whether it looks better than the original will be down to personal preference.
If the original terrain could be mapped to 1/4 of its size and shifted in plan so it still covers the mountains then we could gain a lot of definition without losing visible coverage during normal racing. There's a lot of wasted terrain that isn't visible when out on the track, so reducing the mapping area would increase its fidelity.

What tools are required to edit textures, say on tracks? I'm looking to make some authentic late 80s/early 90s ad boards for a lot of tracks.
How can I convert .dds files into a .png for editing, and then convert back into a .dds?

Just use Photoshop (with a dds plugin) or Gimp and work directly on the dds files. Or there might be a free online png->dds->png->dds converter.

As Masscot said, just use Photoshop or GIMP. Get a DDS plugin and then edit the textures. Some are DXT1 some are DXT5, some need mip maps, some dont, so its just a matter of watching that.
