Good morning to you all!
I recently registered on this great AC forum.
Alike others probably; first lurking and looking for some great car / track mods. Boy, so much!
Scrolling through approx. 1429 pages and heaps of (some really great) mods and alike.
My age is 52 (Yeah, old Geezer!) but hooked with AC 1.16.3.
Main interest is GT and F1 (especially 70's era with main focus on 1978)
No, my racing skills are not that great at all, but I like AC for every bit it shows.

Directly asking for mods is one way of getting information, but have scrolled though this forum first.

The GT3 pack is great for starters, however; I'm interested in obtaining good F1 mods based on 70's era.
Paid mods are not exchanged here on this forum, this I do understand. URD DTM I like but needs buying for obvious reasons.

I have RSS Formula 79 (2.0) and as such I have the Lotus 79 (Plus JPS/Martini skins from RD)
Are their other (Full) mods I'm not aware of covering the 1978 year? 1979 I'm aware of BTW.

Speaking of RSS Formula 79; Mario Andretti (My all time favorite driver) is a rather short Italian but...sitting way too high in his Lotus 79.
Reading here, lots of people are capable fiddling around with .ini file adjusted to their liking. Could driver seating in car be adjusted in any way?

Would be nice getting this actualized, but I'm not in to this. Can anyone suggest some solutions?

Yes. Both VK groups are ran by a guy called Rshumi (Dennis Thode Christensen).

- an emirates „fly better” banner has been properly scaled,
- the curbs were color corrected, and the rumble kerb style has been changed,
- the distance boards were fixed,

Why are AssettoGarage/Rallyworld's new mods so secret. Why does the owner of both groups, also Rally Academy feel the need to not release them. You can't even donate and purchase them all. I'll never understand the purpose of a private mod.

- have two of alike mod with incremental versions 1.1 and 1.2 and now 1.3
- also have another alike mod, slightly different looking but also a 'bella macchina'...

Holden Torana LJ GTR XU1 – Beta v0.85 (2in1)

Mod includes 2 versions;
Holden Torana LJ GTR XU1
Holden Torana LJ GTR XU1 Race Car

Race car has been setup very close to the real car and is capable of running very close times to the real cars of the 1973 ATCC. It is easy to drive at a normal pace, but challenging when pushed hard and can catch you out.

*Known issues:
– Very low poly model that I have done extensive editing to get it looking decent in game
– Some small gaps can be found in body
– Interior is very low poly and has NO working gauges (I will create a detailed dash for a future update)
– Center Mirror missing (will be added / fixed in an update)

**UPDATE July 16, 2020
– Fixed windscreen textures
– Now have working door mirror
– Fixed wheel size in data files (wheels through ground on replays fixed)
– 2 x new 1972 race skins added by BennoC
– All street version XU1 skins have been updated (removed blac around windows and added the missing black section around rear lights)
– Exhaust pipe added on street version
– File structure rebuilt (should fix loading issues for people having issue)

This is getting seriously extensive. If they keep this up, Australia is going to be the best represented historically in AC, or any other sim. I already have 6 or 7 almost complete grids from 70s and 80s and modern times. And I have 30 Aussie tracks (all very decent quality). Not that I'm complaining, I love Australian racing. Just wish there would be such dedicated modders in other parts of the world as well (looking at you north American modders ) . Would need a new 5 TB hard drive in that case.

One of the only things I've actually finished doing with my game, it sure is satisfying having the entire track collection with a unified and complete UI and map for each course.

How many did you have to go through? I'm in the letter C tracks. I've got 800 or so more tracks to do, lol. Still relaxing though

In general, this is not bad, even good! Probably the best mod small buggy-car I've tried. The physics seems to be good - the car is well controlled, but the FFB spoils everything. He is almost absent. No information content, and very boring reactions.
A car like this has to give a lot of feedback to feel every suspension movement, every bump under the wheels, a lot of driving pleasure, a lot of car feeling. Soft and elastic. Then it will be fun and interesting to drive.
