Small addon patch for honda_civic_eg6 "Spoon" rework by @JakubP & @flyingsaucer

sorry i did screenshot on old version 1.01, because i haven't downloaded later version :D - but you didn't have internal and "rainfx ready" banner yet :D, did you?

And seriously, that was tricky - i thought it would have been a 15mins work to make it - but i was perfectly wrong :D - the windscreen method for raindrops effect "behind" the banner had a disastrous look, in fact even destroying the banner after a quick drive lol)

The addon patch adds the roof antenna with more streamlined angle of attack (ADDS +20 to STANCE and -1 to drag ; )), honda badge on the bonnet (painted black for +30 TO PRESTIGE, rear logo also painted black for +20 to TUNER REPUTATION) and finally the internal banner with "Spoon" logo, which adds +200 to racy (ricy? reisy?: )) perspective from the cockpit (not kidding :D)
Well, almost forgot, also antenna is painted black with a special microwave absorbing paint. ADDS another +15 to STEALTH and +3 to WHATEVER ; )

~INSTRUCTION:
1. As always, download, delete ".txt" from file name.
2. Unpack the 7-zip file to a temporary location.
3. Look into folders where you have original mod, and copy the content (text) from my unpacked "ext_config" file to your "ext_config" file .
4. Copy addon's kn5 file to the same folder where your "ext_config" is.

Looks great from inside the car but the Spoon banner has disappeared from the outside of the car..?

It's there but Ray X are needed LOOOL! Joking it's waiting a correction. At start the car has no raindrops working, no damage glass, no interior dust so car has received a little upgrade and previous object could live without anykind of issue. So learning here and there we will find a way to correct them.
 
Funny story actually! Recently I made some LOD files for Not Toprace's McLaren 720s GT3. The same way I did the Toyota FT1 Vision GT3... Only to find out the mod could be encrypted... 🤬

I first tested in a full AI grid with great FPS, then shortly after the game will suddenly crash back to the CM menu. I will get a random message stating the "McLaren 720s GT3 drivetrain could be broken" even though I haven't touch the data folder. I will get a similar message if I tinker with any of the Guerilla's GT4 files (oh god I wish I could improve the GT4 LOD it's killing me! :mad:)

I still use an old build of CM before it supported encryption and at least one version of that ACC 720S GT3 conversion isn't encrypted as it's working in my showroom without issue. Then again I almost never download car updates so it's possible I have the first version and later versions were then encrypted.

Yesterday I played rfactor 1 and saw a few tracks that are very interesting and I miss so much in AC. For example, silverstone 1979, spa 94, Montmeló 94, Monza 75, anderstoorp 75, brands hatch 67, hockenheim 79, navarra, Toronto 1998 (from CART), magny cours 91... I think none of this tracks has been converted to AC so I Hope someone can bring this beauties to AC

Don't forget the dust map on the cockpit windscreen is rotated (and not the correct reflection for the dashboard anyway) and the Spoon logo on the back window needs to be visible from inside the car too.

It's a quick config (only for short oval ):

[you're free to modify it, eg. if sb wants all the side objects (including the elephant in the pits) to interact with rain, enjoy! ]

Not possible, you need to stop it from the rain debug menu when you are already in game..

It is possible, just untick RainFX 'Active' in the CSP settings menu.
Voila!
No more RainFX until you tick it again. Perpetuates between sessions too, of course.

Can you believe this is a GTA SA mod originally? Didn't expect it to look this nice.

I have send my updates to the author and will place the link here when he's posts the update.

MY PATCH WAS MADE FOR old Spoon version, 1.01 IIRC, 'cause I havent downloaded later version, because ... .
I posted my "preview" patch , because with some dose of luck it could have worked on later versions of @JakubP & Tony (@flyingsaucer) car. :)
[as you could see, screenshot was showing 1.01 version you could recognize it by old bugs present, like rotated internal dirt texture and lhd wipers -
i just used the old version of "spoon" i had, to test what can i do :D with it)

Well, you just tried your luck.:)
BTW thanks for crash-testing it with newer version, so it is clear to me now that guys made some substantial changes to that part of the car. But as I said, the internal banner is done, they only need to adapt it to the updated model.

I didn't know they were even doing anything else at this point. I've been hoping to see their Sin R1 mod 'in the wild' for some time, but... (insert tumbleweeds here)

Hello guys! I need a little help, I am trying to make some skins from the tcr germany and with the hyundai i30 when I create the skin dds with the _map the black parts that should be matte are still shiny, this had worked well for me with the honda and vw , why can it be? Thank you very much!

forget to say that the skins are for Delpinsky's wtcr

F1 2008 mod upgrade done, 22 helmets and visors skins reworked, i used some textures by Fabio Contier from an 2008 mod on automobilista found on RD, some other are made by me, all 22 cars shaders are fixed with new AO, Rain light added, some cars skins fixed also ( numbers, propers name driver on cars ), propers cameras set added too, ui, previews fixed and reworked, errors on .acd fixed, shadows fixed, .kn5 fixed ( physics match with 3d cars, red bull and toro rosso specially ) others adjustements and improvments in all cars...
Note : rim blur are disabled for the moment and are not fixed, glow disc issues not fixed because of bad objects used for discs for all cars...

Hi, I'm interested in your 2008 season re-work but I can't access your PMs due to access to your profile being restricted.
 
How would go I about tweaking/ adding gear ratios? I was playing with the formula k car (the dev car) and it maxes out at 250 km/h on the long gear set. I would it to go faster but don't know how to tweak gear ratios

Well, I can help you in this matter, but I need more details.

It reached 250 with the revs at the limit? Or in a particular straight at what track? And what is the Formula K? (Lol I don't know it) :odd:
 
You are welcome! And you have gone straight in the target about sharing or not but I can also understand correctly everyone. As just stated talking about me I DON'T WANT anything as all gtplanet modders! I think we need "little modders" only a bit of beta testing, everything here about modding is new for me, so It took to me a lots of time to do (I do not want to think about Track makers....they are GODS for me cap off for them)
So thanks a lots for your testing. I share here again newest .ksanim for Porsche.

I'm making also more cleaning wipers for Spoon.

If I remember correctly, before I registered on GTPlanet I saw you posting about not knowing how to do modding (I was already following this thread), and now I see you creating animations it's really impressive in such a small time !

I was going to tell you that I'm on 1.06 version of the Spoon but you already figured it out haha
I tried your patch and it didn't work for me unfortunately, but now that JakubP and flyingsaucer have the file, they will include it with the next update and everything will be nice and clean hehe !

BTW don't forget about the visibility of the rear Spoon banner from interior view and on the mirror as Masscott stated

To make it faster you would have typically to increase engine torque in torque.lut, that means multiply each value with a coefficient. I do that with a Python script but you can probably use CM or Assetto Corsa Car Tuner :

Then you'll have to tweak the final gear ratio in drivetrain.ini and/or setup.ini / final.rto.

(formula k is the demo tutorial car in Assetto Corsa\sdk\dev\content\cars\formula_k)

Now if you really want to edit gear ratios, there's a ksGearRatioEditor in the sdk and online gear calculators.
For example https://www.blocklayer.com/rpm-gear.aspx

Gears ratios are in drivetrain.ini and/or setup.ini, final.rto, ratios.rto.
