Guys, just want the national layout of Hockenheim? Should I also add the two short layouts? Let me know.

i would love to see the short layouts, because i have driven them many times in real life.
BIG THANKS for hockenheim mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and since these short tracks are sadly closed for trackdays since 2019... i would love to see it in AC, in your good quality!

here you see me having fun with RainFX.

What version of Sol do you use? In reality those things would not be possible. Hardly credible physics. :D:D:D

Guys, you built a great track with Hockenheim. I like it better than in AMS. I have a great flow when driving.

Thanks to everyone involved.

If we got the short version at some point, it would be like Christmas for me.

Sorry for my bad English

Hi everyone I need your help... I'm recreating the original GP3 steering wheel and now I need to set up all the leds and items.

I set up all the "blue" indicators and the gear indicator. The only thing is missing are the Car Number indicator (declared on the skin) and a simple TC & ABS ON/OFF indicator (they will light up the relative icons in the "green aids" bar).

I searched a lot on the official kunos forum but I didn't manage to find any of these items. Is it possibile to implement them?

Otherwise I think I will put just a placeholder and that's all...

Wow, what a nice gesture. RSS gave us buyers of the bayro gt3, the lanzo V10 for free. 👍

"Dear Customer,

Great news! As an existing owner of our GT-M Bayro V8, the brand new RSS GT-M Lanzo V10 is yours for free!

Sitting alongside our GT-M Bayro V8 released last year, this vehicle is the product of a year of development and features all the ‘bells and whistles’ in technology expected of modern-day GT racing from a beautiful 3D model, a screaming V10 engine, a responsive and direct handling, and even a few portable cameras in the interior!"
I was just debating whether I would purchase this car as we already have Kunos’ Lambo GT3. So I’m happy to see this surprise freebie! I would have prefer RSS to create a GT3 car that we don’t have in AC at a Kunos/RSS quality level. If they created the Bentley...... it would be day 1 purchase for me.

i cant find it. Would it be a problem for you to search for it?

Click on Dabaeda's name in that post and go to messages and then look through them until you find what you need - although i'm not sure there is a cam for highforce. I also looked on RD and couldn't find one.

Yeah, I'm the guy.

I'm not updating Kunos cars' physics, they're my own physics with almost completely my own values. Soon almost all of it will be my own, once I get rid of some Kunos generic luts and such.

The reason I've made the mods is because those Kunos cars are some of the worst, with a very weak data correlation and many owners of the cars have complained about them.

It's just natural that someone who uses weeks, months, years on the physics can do a better job than Kunos's Aris who perhaps used maximum one afternoon on some of those. They had to make a few hundred cars, of course they can't be good. Even with all of the suspension data, it would be very stressing to get all of those cars to a high level in the given time. Not that Kunos gets any real data most of the time. I'm sure for the Japanese cars, he didn't get anything for suspension. Hence why it's a good idea for someone else to come in and do it right. Hell, Kunos used some of my suspension values for the R34. I'm sure you didn't know the R34 was a mod originally; for which I made the physics.

;)

I'll investigate it further, but I doubt there's an actual quantifiable problem that I can fix. At most, maybe the rear spring needs to become a soft rate in droop, and that's why it appears to hang lower in some cases. Every DC2 loses contact with the ground and the inside goes to 0 load in mid-corner and entry.

However we're missing some stuff like chassis flex which can very well be affecting the visual part of it as well.

Sorry, any proof Aris took an afternoon to do the physics on some kunos cars?

I am not doubting that Kunos could not make perfect physics, some i hate for whatever reason...but the arrogance of you though....

As much as i love CM and all the jazz it brings, at the heart of it is a sim that has not been licensed to be used and certainly not to make monetary gsain from.
Reiza didn't just take the madness engine and stick a donation on it...they purchased a license.

I'd maybe look at just how far up yourselves you are and step back and see that yes the achievement is great.... but those connected to it paid nothing for the use of the 'engine' yet make what must be close to 1 million at least from donations...

I'd go easy on baseless claims of kunos employees doing cut and shut afternoon physics jobs...

You guys don't own Assetto corsa....so don't have the final say on how people chose to use it or what they download or indeed what they themselves chose to fiddle with...

Just my opinion...

Thank you, that's an awesome job!! Yet I think there's a problem with the starting grid, I ran a quick race with just one opponent, I was in P1 and the other guy of course in P2, yet he was not in the first row but behind me, where P3 is supposed to be.. I then ran another quick race with a full grid, starting from the pole, and the guy in P2 is still behind me, while in the first row with me is the guy in P3 and so on :S..

Has anyone else noticed that at the new RSS Lanzo V10 the virtual steering wheel is out of sync with the physical steering wheel or is it just me and my settings?

AC has 178 cars according to a search. Over a 3 year period with no weekends, no breaks, it averages at best to 6 days time per car. However game devs have more jobs than just creating content, and in KS it seems like Aris had a lot of hats on at the same time.

The JDM pack cars are worse quality than what I and others can do in some 6 - 8 hours during one day, in fact they're more like 2 - 3 hours quality cars at times with the minimum of research and data used, that I really do believe some cars were made in an afternoon. I shat out an Alfa 33 Tipo physics update yesterday and today, which took about 3 hours combined with all the other stuff like springs, stabilizers, tires and aero, and it's still a better geometry than almost any of the KS geometries which are gross approximations at best, most of the time not even working, not adjusted for internal forces so cars like the GT-R GT3 and GT86 are just fundamentally broken and extremely divergent in handling from the real counterpart, evident on even casual observation.

For the most part every KS car is lacking basic stuff like even making sure that the geometries are offset correctly after they added wheel offset, or that controllers input in the right direction. To now I haven't found any car which has correct caster or SAI so I suspect they never check. Some of them have clearly wrong parameters like the Supra on launch having negative SAI, and I think it still has low single digits.

Stuff like the Supra and FD rear, which are nothing alike IRL, being the same geometry with minor tweaks. Stuff like caster and SAI being off almost 5x from their real-world values on every strut car. Stuff like most car's alignment not being in spec. Most historic cars having incorrect scrub radius which you can see just with visual inspection is off. Yellowbird's rear camber curve being off like 300%, so they had to boost the rear tire grip some 20%. The list can go on for probably half an hour straight.

The only real explanation for mediocre rushed work like that, which would get completely shat on if it was released as a mod, is that he didn't have enough time. I get it, it gets very stressing as well once your cars start to pass the 20-30 mark and they all have to be up to date let alone almost 200 cars. I give him a bit of a break nowadays when I'm in a similar situation.

It's not arrogance, it's just how it is. If I had my own studio and you were paying to drive my stuff, you'd be kissing my ass. It's all just perceptions.
And this is the tamed down polite version of the matter.

I'm not part of CM or CSP, have never been on their payroll nor have I made even over 100eur in donations.

Ilja has perhaps barely made 20k USD or so if you go by the Patreon numbers, which is far below minimum wage in even some poorer European countries. Nobody's making millions. I find it ironic that we try to make better than professional grade products for free and we get accusations of being greedy for donations.

RSS lanzo GTM is GT3 evo of standard GT3 Huracan which is kunos model. Lamborghini don't make GTE version of they Huracan which would compete in WEC GT pro class only a GT3/ Super Trofeo EVO cup car .

thank you. What would need to be added to make it WEC GTPro class competitive?

@ArchKyuubeey, We are privileged to have individuals like yourself, with a passion for SIM in general and AC in particular and the knowledge to make realistic physics for the mods we are all enjoying so much. That you are freely sharing your hard work and talent is also remarkable.
I would like to thank you in my name and in the name of most of us here who appreciate your efforts.

I hope in the future all of you out there with superior knowledge of cars physic and how to apply it to AC physic, will work together more and compete less, share your knowledge and help each other getting all mods to a higher ground.
We will all be gaining a better SIM.

Thank you again for sharing your work with us and please keep up the good work.

Yes, already the christmas present from RSS. And they even thought of the unique accoustic howling that can be heard at higher speeds!...

SUHWEET!! Great track man!

thank you. What would need to be added to make it WEC GTPro class competitive?

Not a lot difference between GT3 & GTE cars the only difference between both cars are aero parts, engine power outputs & GTE cars don't have ABS. The GT3 have more aero compare to GTE cars but GTE cars have more engine power. Lamborghini were planning a GTE version of Huracán but has Porsche has a competitive car within the GTE glass Lamborghini would be competing against the same brand affect being owner by VW we all know how that in end LMP1 glass. Ferrari use same chassis between GT3 448 and GTE version but version different aero parts whilst Porsche don't has GT3 is rear engine and GTE mid engine.

Gentle people. As an newcomer to this site, I have to say, I love the content, insights, help and guidance shared here.

However, lately I have seen a lot of animosity from the modders. The lifeblood of this site. Without you we will move on to another product. You keep us coming back because of your creativity and product.

I understand the need to quality and professionalism. Imagine if we can work together as a group and perhaps even line up as a factory would.

If you follow the agile framework for development, from Inception to MVP, you can create amazing product.

We can vote on car / track recommendation, assign roles, responsibilities, prioritize and contribute to create amazing content where we all win.

Ok, perhaps not a reality. In the meantime...

Let’s get back to celebrating Christmas and this period and stop the arguments and opinions.

Love you all.

Thanks. And in fact everything I've managed to do in the last few years is thanks to the community collaboration. I rely quite a lot on others' tools and specialized knowledge. Hence my credits are long in some cars. Many users are missing as it is just natural at this point. It's another advantage I imagine that modders have over devs who might not communicate as much.

At least my view is that the very best creators happen to be bundled in one place, and we mostly know each other. Anyone's free to jump in to you-know-where, and I doubt a better simulation physics resource exists currently. I too wish things would become more consolidated and centralized, as the majority of JDM cars for example are already figured out and the numbers exist. I'm making some info and data repositories for that reason, but I doubt I'll stick around long enough to make anything comprehensive.
