Enjoy !

Great job on these porsches! Did you ever finish the F40LM?
I came across a good skin for this car of the No.34 1995 Le Mans entry.

A few others had the same idea over at https://www.racedepartment.com/thre...-in-collaborating-on-a-track-together.175387/

... but not much momentum there.

Were you able to make use of the lidar data from USGS?

No, I'm not using LIDAR. I'm using RTB so I'm using google maps elevation data matched up with the old GPL track to iron out any differences. Not really trying to re-create the real place, mostly trying to re-create the old GPL track (Similar to how I did meadowdale which is completely inaccurate to the real world but very close to the classic experience that sim-racers who were around back then remember), but the GPL version is just too old and low-poly to do a conversion of. Plus I want to add some of the modern facilities as a variant.

Allowed myself to edit data files for NeilB1971's Pescarolo 01 evo.

-Car produces ~1075 kg of lift and 275 kg of drag at 240 km/h at Le Mans setup now( I assume it would be minimum aero setting )

-658Nm torque at 6500rpm

-Car should be able to perform 3:30.* lap times at FM Le Mans with ~328 km/h speed trap.

Feedback much appreciated. I wonder if good drivers can do lap times below 3:30 ;)

Enjoy(^^)/
Some feedback. Which engine are you trying to simulate? The Judd 3.4 V8 or the 5.5L V10?
The lap times looked odd especially when compared to the Kunos LMP1s. Your power.lut is reflecting the V10 engine with torque at the flywheel. Power.lut figures should reflect power at the wheels. To be at BoP with Kunos you need to apply a 20% torque loss through the drivetrain.
I have created the power.lut for both Judd engines. Let me know if you want them.

Thank you!

I just ran a grid of 25 cars at the Glen at dusk with your 33TT, the Porsche and the Alpine, and it was one of the best sim racing experiences of the last 10 years. Just glorious. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You do know that - when starting practice from starting line - the car falls through the world ?
I didn't see the problem.

Seems that I have missed the Alpine and the Porsche...where can i find the latest versions of those 2 cars? Searched the forum without success...maybe I'm just blind...many thx in advance!

I have used several sources as reference to simulate IRL car's ability to lap Le Mans at 3:30.466

So, Yes... I have tried to recreate Judd GV5.5-S2 V10:

Also this for Power to weight, torque...:
https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/spec/4109/Pescarolo-01-Evo-Judd.html

And this, as closest i have found for aero:
http://www.mulsannescorner.com/aerodatabasedomes1015.html

...Aaand this for top speed:
https://www.racecar-engineering.com/articles/le-mans-2009-speed-traps/

As for the Kunos BoP, do You mean Toyota, Audi and Porsche? Because I hardly see them being competetive to each other, and way of the IRL pace, at least with default setup. Creating A BoP version of Pescarolo might be a good idea though.

Please notify I am a complete noob at this. I am learning, and relatively new to the game whatsoever. I do not consider myself a good driver either, so my testing resoults might be skewed. Which is why I would like some real good drivers to test the car if I havent overdid its performance.

I would gladly try out both of Your Judd engines if You don't mind, Fullnoise.
Plus, AER / Mazda MZR-R Straight 4 would make it for LMP2 spec Speedstar2000 asked for. I am also looking for/ trying to recreate
Acura LM-AR7 4.0 litre V8, maybe You also have it already?

I have worked on Le Mans grids for 2007-2014. I actually started on 2013 and the more I got into it the further back I had to go to follow the trail in development. I am almost finished a 2007 30 car field with mostly NeilB1971 pack. Kunos cars vs track times I have found the lap times to be generally slower and that includes mod tracks such as Lemans2017. The best I can muster out of the 2014 Audi is a 3:30 and the AI best is around 3:31. Compared to IRL 3.22-3.24 Qualifying times in 2013. I made the decision to try and balance mod cars with Kunos as close to IRL performance. And to your comment those 3 LMP1 Kunos cars are not balanced and the Toyota is 75kg overweight which makes it all a bit of a mess. However the Audi is a good benchmark for 2012-13.

No problem at all. We are all here to help each other. I haven't looked at the Acura LM. I have done the AER 4 cyl turbo engine though.
Power.lut attached for the Judd V10. You may have to adjust the default final drive. Peak torque is a 6500 but peak power is only at 7000.
See how go with that. If you want to try the full data then I can upload these as well. I have done the 01, 01 Evo Judd 3.4L V8 and the 01 Evo LMP2 as the Morgan Nissan spec. I haven't actually done the whole car setup for the 2009 01 Evo V10 so your car version might fit nicely into that year.

What about for the 01 evo LMP2 since it was also an LMP2 (prior to it's morgan lmp2 name aka 2012)

Thank You for the file(^^ I will impement it and rework the car again. You can add AER Mazda engine for LMP2 config, if You don't mind.
I see You went much further with this already, this is my first rework. There is a lot to learn for me.

You do realize the Gmotor engine files are pretty easy to convert to AC, right?
Actually, no. First time reading about this.

go look at the engine file for your GTR2 car... compare to power.lut

btw: I have converted a few of the cars you are doing. The Dome101 I passed around has the Judd, from GTR2 translated to AC
(I also have a few other Judd/Yamaha style dyno based .lut files created from real data)

PS im pretty sure i answered your question about those shadows...in case you didn't see it...its caused by double sided faces...if you are just going to use rtb (which i'm not ******** on by the way) you will not be able to tell what i'm talking about. i have experience with the same issue...especially if you export from sketchup...make sure you uncheck double sided faces....i have added a couple of screen grabs to illustrate...the one from ks editor shows the shadow banding caused by the double faces having apposing normals and another from blender set in face orientation mode showing the double faces....might be good practice to run your objects through blender before importing them to xpacker....this way you can check and clean everything up before you commit
