Hi Folks, Is there anyone who could model me an exhaust like this (without the rain bucket on top) that my late dad had on his stock car? I am trying to recreate one of his cars on the AVRP Monaro 68 cars. I believe his actual model was a 1970, but i dont have that model in game. I am sorry - I dont have more pictures. Of course, if someone would like to model the wing and bumper bars, even better. I will donate to you for it

BTW, drove an HK '68 back in the day in high school (with fake GTS badges of course, but with the genuine gilled-front guards from the wreckers) 👍

Nice work! Fun and interesting track to drive.

I found one serious issue. On the last turn, as you enter the start/finish straight, there's an invisible barrier on the inside of the turn, right at the kerb. If the car hits it, it either gets stuck at slower speeds, or the car is suddenly thrown across the track.

Thank you for the kind words. Appreciate it. My two brothers would appreciate it too. They were older than me and part of his racing world. Good memories on your car too.
 
Can't for the life of me think what would cause this... Only thing that may be different from a track point of view would be the config perhaps. Did you try running without the track Configs applied to rule this out
Well Jim, you are defo on to something.
Tested at autopolis_katsuo from @shi
With extension active I get a Motec readout (BAC Mono) for a while on several points on track, let's say about 40% of the time.
With extension folder disabled I get NO readout at all...
 
The following skin-mod got an update last Tuesday (Dec 8th) on RD, but for the life of me, the download from ASR keeps on failing, time-after-time... day-after-day...

Would anyone have this Mod handy on a private host? eg. Mega

I get this with Race Department all the time......If I start a download...I make sure nothing is running in the background...seems to make a difference, just go get a drink or something
 
To have a little fun, while my G27 doesn't come back from repair. To complete the Le Mans 1981/1982 grid, I made a fictional car, but I think everyone should know what it is ... from the Sauber-Mercedes C9 ..... I intend to do more, with those I find here , which I buy or on other sites.

Thanks for reminding me of this track.
I've converted this track at the request of a friend. Original rfactor version
The road surface is smooth. But, there is no replay camera, the AI still doesn't run well, and the Shader needs some tweaking.
I don't have much interest in updating this track.

La Dehesa v0.32

Thanks for this, I like this track @shi. It's pretty challenging to learn- undulating surfaces, a few blind turns, an oval style sweeper, and long straights. The ai was borked so I went ahead and fixed it, and also added 3 drs zones. The readme says there is a problem with a pit spot but I didn't notice anything. Of the two layouts, I think I like the "sprint" version best.

Something I noticed- there's a strange spectator over looking the track, It's a little intimidating:

AI for Slovakia Ring:

An RD member requested a look at this track. AI seemed a little slow for some reason. I tested, then reworked all four layouts, and tested some more. I like the track, it's pretty cool. Four layouts.

Side Line fix for aa_Atlanta:

A fellow member asked me to look at this oval. I determined there were some side line issues. I'm not much of an oval guy, but in my testing, it seems fine now. However he said he was still having start problems, and having a car slow down intermittently in the middle of the race, (with the RSS Indy and a 2020 Camaro Xfinity mod). I've not had any of those issues since the fix, so if anyone has this track, could you please test it for me and let me know?

Hopefully it works now. I wanted to try it last night but didn't get a chance. Will today though. When I said good work being done I was more referring to the use of configs and the model with animated and vibrating parts. Some cars are for racing and some are for looking at or "chilling" like this author put it.
But also, with all the niceties that are done to this car, I'm thinking of being able to learn and adapt some of the things being used here to other cars.

Unless someone has already converted VW Passat (Brazilian car in the AMS and AMS 2 game, but without the airfoil). This same car is leaving for RaceRoom soon. Thank you very much in advance.

That works perfectly, thanks. Now the cars I apply it to actually stay out without me needing to screw with the track files.

The RSS formula Lithium does indeed have the "Fuel_cons.ini" file within the data.acd, nevertheless, these electric vehicles always all go into the pits at end of first lap....hmmmm
 
I also ran into that on a race weekend with the latest Suzuka from the Reboot Team using the default Kunos MX-5 Cup. I ran practice and quali, and then a 20-lap race. Plenty of fuel to make it to the end without refueling, but a lot of the AI made a pit-stop for some indiscernible reason.

I know this is a beta version, but there's an issue with the lap timing. I drove about five laps and never set a lap time.

This is a fascinating track. The elevation changes are extreme, and the cambers can really throw you off. In VR, this is even more dramatic. If the pit area were cleaned up to fix the floating cars, and the road mesh smoothed as you enter the track, that would be a good first improvement.

This track could be more incredible if the roadside features were updated with better textures and normal maps, the trees were updated or replaced, and maybe some of the mountain and other features were improved.
