Is there any way to reduce "water spray" that cars leave behind them?I cant see the road even in light rain. They give strange effect like my windscreen is foggy when I drive close behind a car.I didnt try at night Im scared lol
Thanks!
I'm using CSP 1.69 and SOL 2.0 rc4
Also I have water on track on some of them straight after I enter a race.Mostly I have to use rain debug and then I can see rain on the track that has rainfx.

Yes, go to ..\assettocorsa\extension\config\particles_fx.ini, look for [SMOKE_DEV] and change LIMIT=8000 to a lower value, eg. LIMIT=2000.

Hey @Shokeus, your 993 CS project is done !

It's encrypted, though.

Too bad the force feedback on this encrypted mod is inverted on my RS300. Pulled out of the pits, turned the wheel a little, it violently snapped to full lock, and almost broke some fingers.

[ UPDATE ] This actually has to do with the version of CSP you are using. Though it states in description of the video that the latest version of CSP is required, it doesn't elaborate on it, or clarify anything. Also, I often don't install the latest version of CSP, because almost every time, there's usually glitches, bugs, or other problems. I usually stick to the "recommended" versions, and maybe try one or two of the "untested" versions above it if I hear there aren't any issues among the community. The information I posted is what should have been posted in the description.

Below is what I posted in the comments of the video. This should actually be included in the video's description, as I usually never install the latest "buggy" or "untested" version of CSP. I might install one or two of the versions after the recommended version if I hear among the community that it's stable, or doesn't have strange issues like opaque windshields, black skies, flickering trees, etc.

My comment on the Youtube video for the mod...

WARNING! FORCE FEEDBACK IS INVERTED on version 1.0 if using CSP v1.61 or older!

You must upgrade to v1.62 and turn on FFB Tweaks.
If you drive this mod with the FFB inverted, the wheel could unexpectedly violently snap to full lock when you first turn the wheel while driving. Depending on the wheel you're using, this could cause injury, or at least very sore fingers if they get caught by the wheel (I'm serious, the snap is that severe).

Vast improvement! Looking much better.

It just needs...

1. Improved driver hands/arms animations
2. The display working (it's black when I drive it).

Portland International Raceway

Im putting everything out..

Maybe you have seen videos with this track and I dont know if it has been released secretly hahaha, but my friend P1ButtPlug found out about me back in 2019 and asked me to convert this track and it is the result of many months, i lost track of changes and a lot of etc. I finally decided to release it and see how it works with you all.
AI was made by P1Buttplug and many other helped get it done but sadly i don't remember, maybe mr Creamy can help me remind lol.

Stay tuned there are more tracks to come.

this is looking really good....couple of things i noticed the grass is very dark (for my taste) so your call if your happy with how it looks.....also looks like you forgot to apply the alpha on the track edges

otherwise nice conversion...very happy to have it good work

From Artur Drobotya: car just requires 0.1.62 or higher. Because of struct ffb tweak feature introduced in 0.1.62. Make sure its turned on.

Yep, that was the problem. I was still using CSP v1.60, as I usually stick with the "recommended" version. v1.62 seems to be okay so far, with my configuration.

Hi! I'm loving the new cams that you have been releasing.
Please, consider to generate a pack with all cams. It'll make easier for newcomers to get access to your work and for you, to have a better control, imho. So, when you release a new one or any update, you can publish two links: the new one (or the update) and the pack.
Just my opinion, as a regular user of your work.
Thank you!

Cheers

I just graciously grabbed said pack.. thank you!!

The rainfx patch is here :evil smile: - new windshield , working wipers (wiper config not needed), in folder 4 new animations to choose from (including "broken" wiper animation - lol it's fun ;D) also new F6 cameras (just because i wanted new ones).

Great work and great update to the beetle V3. Incredible skills and vision to get it to work like you have. I updated 2 files from the physics from there to get it to be a rogue entry to the AI race series for V3. Look forward to your updates. Thank you.

Could you share the files for the AI ?

Kremer K8. This is my personal 'wishlist' of cars I'd like to convert to AC :

Cruel lack of 90s LMPs in this game.

Hi you might not know me. But a few of those cars have been brought and modeld by me to gtr2. The twr wsc 95, the kremer k8, the courage c36 and wr lm94 are my creations.

While twr wsc 95 was not my model i spent countless hours modelling most. I have worked with many people to bring them to gtr2. Many texture , physics and talented artists. But even if its easy to convert a car or 2 i hope anyone respects the work that has been put into them.

I would have liked more if you turned and asked me primarly about your conversion plans. I could have given a hand and improving some of the stuff.I mean. the courage, kremer and twr are really old and not my best models. Will need someone to perform inprovments to make them good in ac imo.

Im not a upset or angry person so im ok if you wanna convert it aslong you credit all those involved partners and responsible people behind the gtr2 mod. Would been awsome if you could seek out to most of the other involved artists about their permission becuse i cant speak or grant anything by myself in their name.

I hope you do a good job but i would had been happier if you asked me about it first as you seemd to have downloaded the wr lm94 recently. Its just respect . Cheers

I am only a consumer of these products, and as a musician I totally understand pride in creativity, ownership and publishing - and I am new to this forum, BUT

1) I am absolutely delighted with the attention this forum have gotten from the professional modders that keep the AC engine alive. Bravo to the Moderators and Admins for giving us this forum to communicate, share and enjoy this hobby.
2) The quality of workmanship is generally of high standard - both cars and tracks - and there are enough collective testers and feedback here to improve it even more. Thank you to the countless folks here who share their time and passion with us to live out our dreams on this, well, game.
3) The randomness of posts and organization are not the best to keep your head on straight, but is like Christmas morning every time I open up the site. @FileMissing is helping with that best he can - keeping it organized. Thank you.
4) Now on why I am commenting on your post. Generally mods are sparsely documented, especially, authors and versions. Even worse, 3rd partying converting it is even harder to identify ownership - maybe help us and share the other authors who to credit with who you worked with - I am certain that we would all LOVE your involvement if we knew who you were and that you created the original mods. You are clearly talented and know what you are doing, and have published a great mod. There is Absolutely no way we (as the community) would NOT ask you to participate - I am asking, and even donate to you for your efforts - like I have with many others.

Please reach out to the folks, or indicate that we can reach out to you with contact detail and expertise. Welcome to the AC family. Love to all.

I wanted to - but out of respect to you, the modellers and everyone involved I won't do it. Realized this was a **** and selfish decision, anyway. Hindsight is a beautiful thing.

And the Kremer K8 I attempted to convert ? Binned it. There won't be any conversions from my side, even with your (or the original authors) blessing. It's just going to be a disservice.

No problems man. Nothing selfish or stupid. Its out on the internet. Doing it for personal use no problem. Doing it as a mod its important to have credit or permission. Im ok if you still wanna try. Cant expect everything to be perfect. Not my best models but if ac scene can have fun with them why not.
