LONG POST.....

Firstly, massive thanks to NeilB1971 for the original conversion and upload of all the Grid LMPs and GTs. In my spare time I've been wwortking on a few to try and get the power figures right and get some more accurate laptimes. I'm not a physics guy or a skinner so all of this is my first dabble into the unknown, I'd really appreciate feedback and help from the more knoledgable amongst you.... Any way, here's where I'm at. If I've got it right, the cars should run as standalone cars and not overwrite any of the existing versions.

Audi R10 TDI

* Updated torque curve and bhp only.

Really enjoyable to drive now. Will hit 340kph on the mulsanne (based on 2008 figures from LeMans).
Need somebody to sort the gearing from 6 gears to 5. I cant seem to make it work without breaking it.

Probably my favourite car from this era. I dont know why, I just love it. Lola body, screaming v12.....

* Updated torque curve and bhp
* Adjusted gearing (will now top 200mph+)
* Updated rev limiter to 7500rpm to match the aston V12 limit
* Sound linked from the Aston Martin GT1 in Neils mod.

Thats it for now. I'm also working on the Peugeot 908 (see post below! I need help with this one), Epsilon Euskadi EE1, Pescarolo 01 LMP1 Judd 5.5 V10 & Pescarolo 01 LMP2 3.4 V8 and the Pescarolo 03.

Have anybody has some news about the Pescarolo's skin for the Aston Martin AMR 2011 mod ?

Dears, thank you for naming the AERO 8 GT2, but I think we all know the GT2 car from assettoland. Instead the car I mentioned is a GT3

To be exact it is an AERO 8 SUPERSPORTS GT3 (2009)
And it looks much better than the old GT2 (without detracting)
The GT3 version has 731,000 polygons.

Yeah right. But the GT2 is still a fun car and I keep wondering why nobody ever took the time to improve the interior a bit.

Hi Masscot. Just wondering if you (and others) are seeing lots of flickering on the trees over in the distant mountainsides? Is this z-fighting or something else that can be fixed along the way?

So much good feedback about 99c, which was not "perfect spec suspension (and received complaints from 2 people who drive with controllers, but know lots about physics, and how my inaccuracies let the car down)", Another tried to compare my physics to the rF2 version, acting like I disrespected the original work. The rF2 has physics so bad the car is not driveable, has no semblance of a real spec anywhere and the model was 12% too big.

I have been tempted to release an optional data.acd based on v0.99c
Will be nice to hear your feedback, thanks

I haven't updated mine (v0.99c)
I don't care at all about anything has been said bad about it, I like mine.
It's a real fun car, their butts are awesome with that little smoke and shifting with a stick is so fun.

That Corvette C5 Z06 that GIBBONS shared is quite good however there are two things that kinda bother me
1. Why are the turn signals painted the same color alongside the body?
View attachment 978570
2. I find it weird that it uses a C6 steering wheel.
View attachment 978571
Other than that the car is pretty good however its missing some windows

Not fussed about the steering wheel, but fixed the following on the exterior:

- Added bumper lights and front corvette badge
- Replaced wheels and tyres with something closer to standard, still not perfect but better than the previous Ferrari 599 GTO wheels/tyres...
- Added side windows
- Replaced textures and changed shader types/properties on most of the exterior
- Added AO to the exterior and wheels, making it possible to paint them (and calipers) in the CM showroom
- Probably more stuff that is now just part of my process and I complete on autopilot
- Few things could be improved but not bad for a couple of hours work

Not decided yet whether I can be bothered to break my production cycle and work on the rest of the car to completion, or if it's worth passing it onto one of the resident physics people if anyone is interested.

Great work.

Hi, I was wondering if someone has found a solution to this problem reported by both SoloWingX and WYCorp. I was running a 911 Cup 2017 championship and only in Suzuka it happened that the game ran in slow motion and also my temps raised massively, none other tracks this has happened. I was running 20 AI and no background processes; with CSP 0.1.60 and an old march Sol build.

Troubleshooting quick question. I set up a JDM track day (25 AI) on Jim's Suzuka converted from ACC. The sim was running at my desired framerate but it was slowed down to like 0.25%. With the same grid on Lilski's Road America, the sim was running fine. Is that a track related problem or I have something set up wrong in the gazillion CSP settings? Thanks for any advice, really... :D

Edit: Just tried on Red Bull Ring, Jim's Bathurst, no issues whatsoever, but Suzuka is still doing this. Tagging @Jimlloyd (thanks for the track though, it's awesome, this is the first issue I have with it). Additional feedback: during the slow-mo driving the cars create some kind of rainy smokey effect. Not sure if related. I am on CSP 0.1.66. Tried with 0.1.60 as well.

I have the same issue at Suzuka with AI, no such issue on other tracks including the Bathurst conversion. My actual fps doesn't go down though, but the sim runs in super slo-motion until I reach T1. I brought this up a couple of times here but got no response :indiff: My only solution was to significantly reduce the number of AI.

Looking great!

Just want to say... that Rio track is BADASS. Thanks for all the great tracks and such, everyone. AC is the only game left really keeping me interested in having a fancy GPU and gaming monitor.

If we could somehow rescue the map from the Cyberpunked game....

Looks fantastic!

I have two technical questions.

- If the 'lods' have the same value, is it better to delete b and c, all, or let it be as it is?

- What is the meaning and difference between .kn5 and 1.kn5? Why some mods come with both? Can I delete the 1.kn5 file?

Thanks for any help.

Btw...
A few Audis. Some lacks a few things, but overall, enjoyable to drive. Good basis for modders improvment.

"Can I delete the 1.kn5 file?"
Seems so.
Yes, you could have only the 1 "a" LOD if you adjust lods.ini

Thanks for any help.

You can delete any kn5-files that aren't found in lods.ini (except for the collider.kn5).

If there are three lod-kn5-files exactly the same size, two of them are probably placeholders and doesn't matter which ones of them you delete, as long as they are matched in lods.ini.

I do this kind of stuff, delete everything I can to save 10mb of disc space. Man was I happy when I found out I can actually delete the co-pilots from all the rally cars... :D
