For cleaner thread, we should add a rating system to the posts that have download links. But only the members above certain level could vote (let's say a member gets over 100 likes in total)... that encryption disscussion is getting out of control and the actual contents on this thread getting lost.

There is already a Library for GTP members looking for updated mods/content etc. Discussions should be encouraged here, users can nip over to the library for any missed/updated content, along with any additions and new releases and WIP etc. (See Sig Below)

Yeah, it's Assetto Corsa PC Mods General Discussion, so anything related to AC PC mods should be allowed so long as the discussion remains civil and it doesn't violate GTP's TOS.
Encryption of mods is a totally valid topic for debate in a mod discussion thread. It's here to stay whether we like it or not and apart from anything else, it fundamentally affects how we can or cannot mod cars.
If you just come here for download links then Assetoland is that way --->

Exactly, there are some great insightful conversations and discussions to be had here, having a "companion app" or "complimentary library" (that is 99% read only) only improves our situation as it keeps repeat questions from cluttering up the forum, this way we can all find what we need efficiently, while keeping the thread focused and on topic.

Indeed but not 5120*1440. Then max res you can select in Shadowplay is 1080p. Or you have to enable HDR (no go for me).
Now enabled XBox game bar for the Windows recorder (thanks for the tip @Atrupelador!)

You could also try OBS as it has way more options but is a bit harder to use but it works well with weird resolutions.
Can't comment on Gamebar as i disabled that and my geforce experience packed up ages ago and just refuses to open now which is sad as it was actually pretty good. How do you find the video output with Gamebar?

absolutely true, the issue is that it should not be the main topic, post after post, page after page. most here are not visiting to read the same post about the same topic day after day.
So until anything new about encryption is worth sharing, can we, please, turn the page.
That's not how discussions develop and it's not how debates evolve.
You do know that there have been more posts complaining about the encryption discussion than were in the actual discussion itself? The discussion had run its course, it's complaints from the wannabe mods that are keeping it alive.

Maybe something interesting for you?

Yes please we need good R18 from 2012 or 2011. Thanks in advance for this:tup:

Well imagine if someyear Kunos decides to make it completely open-source by opening their proprietary engine so that we can develop whatever we like inside such as off road (and overall better) physics and realistic damage model a-la Beam.NG.
(I discussed about this with VR Gaming on a Discord server yesterday)
I'm not sure what this has to do with anything I said. Kunos won't ever make the code open source, and even if they did you would have only spent $4 on the game in the first place so you couldn't feel ripped off if they made it free.

If I may ask which is a good Lancer EVO X mod ? Since you have it only you can say which is the best.Regards
None of them are perfect for me at the moment, I drive a stock JDM Evo X so it has 300 HP while most of the mods are focused on the british FQ360 (360 HP) or FQ400 (400 HP) variants.

The most feature complete one is probably the one made in this thread, but the link is dead. Perhaps there was an update after this that I can't find now.

If you want a 'modded' one with amazing sound, you have to go with this

My original favourite was this one here, using this physics modification. I can't really speak of how accurate this is as it's the FQ400 model that has quite a few differences (god that single exit exhaust in the middle is damn ugly).

One thing that none of the mods can really nail is the S-AWC that the Evo X has in real life. I can't tell you how many times the torque vectoring has saved my ass when I got over-confident and kicked the back end out in the twisties, and I'm pretty sure AC just can't simulate that correctly - especially without manufacturer info or using the stability management assist.

A bit more to the project:

It is an Audi R18 TDI 2011 converted from GT Sport by ACR together with MSF Italia Modding Team and ACFAN for the Sound.

I have worked for Audi Sport back in 2011 and know the car very well. So i asked ACR if they can convert the R18 TDI from GT Sport as they did on my request for the GT Sport Peugeot 908 HDI FAP to AC because GT Sport is the only game which has a 100% accurate 3d model of the car.

I meant to say that because since AC is getting cheaper and cheaper recently, one would assume that at some point in time, it might end up becoming F2P and open-source so that anyone can bring some new innovations or already seen features from other racing sims but re-enacted in AC for modern times. Which then VR Gaming on discord told me: "If AC becomes open-source, it'll end the commercialization of sim racing titles".

(Something which surely won't happen at all, but might be something interesting if it ever did)

Reg. the FQ-360, I got that one here (assettogarage) with some physics edit from @JakubP which is really worth to have it in the collection:

Yeah this one handles quite nicely, and has been my recent go-to.
Simply going on the September post date I'd expect the one created in here (with the dead link in my last post) to be more feature complete though. I remember not liking the first version of it, but I'd love to see if the later versions fixed it up.

I also recommend to swap the sound from AmaFmods "ScreamerPipe" Evo with the one posted above. Sounds sick!

Pinch me I must be dreaming

Please let me ask a question regarding AC and cams. I got an 49" monitor and best cam to drive is the dash cam. But when selected, I cannot set the view pitch and move the seat. This only works when using normal cockpit cam.
Is there a chance to activate pitch and seat for the dash cam, or is it possible to create my own cam? Pressing free cam F7 did not help, because it does not move with the car. Perhaps CM and CSP can help?

I left it at 7000 rpm. No issue with that.
Could be worth testing the change, the stock rev limiter is 7599 rpm anyway and most tunes irl will raise that closer to 8k.

Use the cockpit view and use the onboard settings app to push your camera position forward.
Edit: Oops, you've already tried that. Oh well, leaving it here to embrace the idiot that I am haha.

Being open source doesn't necessary means free to play. There are many ways to generate income to sustain the platform. But to develop a racing sim with features that is desired by the community and not rely on a single company to develop what we want. AC is sort of fulfilling this with the continue development of CSP, SOL and countless of mods, if AC does get open up, the possibility of this sim continue evolving is endless.

Super thank you guys, actually this version is the best, apart from everything it's again hard to find mods from this guy (JakubP),I only have a SPOON EG6 from him,now I have a Lancer, who knows of any other mods from him,I wrote him a PM but he hasn't replied for 3 days ...

@Cessna2807 Can you ever work on more GT SPORT cars other than that next? Or are you only limited to Audis since you worked on their Sport team?
I cannot decide that. I have only make the request to the ACR Group and ACFAN for the Sound. I help them with information about the car. If you have a GT Sport Model you can asked them if they can convert it but i think not before 2022

Have CM open, in windows go to the track folder, keep you finger close to the ALT key, double click the KN5, and immediately after hold down the ALT key, the track will unpack itself.
funny... I use the <shift> key. If your CM has associated with .kn5, you dont need to have CM open.

double-click .kn5 and immediately press and hold <shift>

Okay, this completely slipped by me; HiPole, the creators of the Geely Binrui and Binyue cup cars, have now made custom racing concept versions, similar in performance to FIA TCR. These cars were released back in November last year; the download has a password but it is listed next to the download link on the announcement page for the car.
