A bit more to the project:

It is an Audi R18 TDI 2011 converted from GT Sport by ACR together with MSF Italia Modding Team and ACFAN for the Sound.

I have worked for Audi Sport back in 2011 and know the car very well. So i asked ACR if they can convert the R18 TDI from GT Sport as they did on my request for the GT Sport Peugeot 908 HDI FAP to AC because GT Sport is the only game which has a 100% accurate 3d model of the car.

Quick question. How do you get the ACR Peugeot. Many thanks.

AFAIK this is no encryption, its a way to ensure that online everybody uses the same base
Yeah, for online compatibility checks and to prevent unauthorised access to try and prevent users altering the data in the first place. This was explained years ago on the official forums in the modding section.
The data is coverted into code that can't be decyphered without proprietary software. That's still encryption by any definition of the word, and goes back to my original point.

On a lighter note, DRM Revival got updated today;

Okay, this completely slipped by me; HiPole, the creators of the Geely Binrui and Binyue cup cars, have now made custom racing concept versions, similar in performance to FIA TCR. These cars were released back in November last year; the download has a password but it is listed next to the download link on the announcement page for the car.

could you upload this to another hoster?

i dont understand this chinese stuff

again AFAIK the ACD-unpacking (its still no encryption) got first done by quickbms devs/quickbms script makers. Its easy to adapt that to any other programming language.

Please dont talk about things you only understand by half a margin.

AHH quickbms devs/quickbms script makers remember the pain of using that a couple of years back. Not hard to use once you remember it how top do it. But a pain in your first few tries.

Hello, does someone have a Monza 1961, 1967, 1971 and 1975 versions that were posted here a couple of months ago?? The links don't work anymore :/

Hello friend, I believe it wasn't the "circuits", but the textures for each era ... Until recently when I had the free version of 3Dsimed, I would "try" "make" the 1975 version, starting with the 1971 version , adding the "chicane" at the end of the pit line and the Ascari variant, and then creating an "AI line" for the cars in question.

Super thank you guys, actually this version is the best, apart from everything it's again hard to find mods from this guy (JakubP),I only have a SPOON EG6 from him,now I have a Lancer, who knows of any other mods from him,I wrote him a PM but he hasn't replied for 3 days ...
Forgot to add this before, here is the link to Jakub's FQ400 too.

It doesn't help that the whole page you linked is in Japanese.

Chinese actually, as HiPole are a Chinese mod developer. Either way the hoster that they're using made my antivirus ping when I installed and booted up the client-download version necessary for the downloads, so I've sent a message to AssettoLand to see if he can host a MEGA download instead, and perhaps update the original cup-spec Geelys to their newest version while he's at it.

Anyone got RAIN FX for Rio De Janeiro ? :)

Here you go
rio_rainfx track bg.jpg

Basic RainFX config for Rio de Janeiro circuit by (Esprit3905)

Not absolutely sure if there is one out there already but this is once again very basic and can be improved upon I'm sure. Especially in additional streaming edge/point zones

I didn't go overboard with the streaming edges, especially as I miss them when I whizz past!

Anyway, I hope it's of use

There is an existing config file in the extension/config/tracks/loaded folder add this to the bottom and save

Follow instructions in the original download overview page

;for Rio de Janeiro circuit by Esprit3905
https://sharemods.com/6qvfooj5ng5n/rio_0.1.rar.html

Add to end of existing rio.ini in yourpc:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks\loaded

or create your own ext_config.ini file in the tracks extension folder (Don't forget to copy over the rio__lights.kn5 file from the loaded folder too)

If any VR users of the Geely BinYue GSC Racing Concept are put off by the high-floating digits on the dashboard, replace [ITEM_0] to [ITEM_5] in data/digital_instruments.ini with the following.
It'll seat the digits onto the face of the display and move them down a tad for better alignment.

Code:

I've come to think that this community is becoming some sort of dictatorship, where very small elite decides where this game is going (where the CM, CSP are going), and the majority of us should just shut up and be happy even if that "elite" would end up ruining the whole game in the end.
The direction of the game was decided by Kunos, and that ended with v1.16.4. The developers of CM and CSP can decide what they want. I can choose to use CM or play vanilla AC. For me, the choice is simple. If I don’t like CM/CSP, then I can play vanilla AC or develop my own app/launcher. How is CM/CSP being forced on anyone?

Yeah, for online compatibility checks and to prevent unauthorised access to try and prevent users altering the data in the first place. This was explained years ago on the official forums in the modding section.
The data is coverted into code that can't be decyphered without proprietary software. That's still encryption by any definition of the word, and goes back to my original point.

Ok, i see your point, ac itself is also "proprietary", so what, and you need some kind of ensurance for online races.

MY main point was against @safi hellie's oh so knowledgable and educated sentence:
"Kunos's own encryption got busted by the same guy who now lets people encrypt their ripped mods...go figure". Seems he/she/it is not so educated. I dont like people making it appear to "know stuff" and pouring junk over others work just like this.

Again, my only original point was that Kunos car data was deliberately encrypted and not meant to be normally viewable/editable by the user.
I don't think I could have made that much clearer in my original post and I'm not sure why you're trying to trip me up with semantics. How about we're BOTH right..?
;)
