Right, so again someone posted up examples of this weird shadows thing that i get on the 1.7's CSP's.
One of the answers was basically "no one knows how to fix that" then no further discussion.

I am amazed that people aren't being more vocal about this as to me its game breaking as it looks awful.
So are there people on 1.75 who don't have this issue?
If so surely there would be a way to work out enmasse what setting is causing it?

It is very real and why i simply can't move on from 1.69 preview 1 (which is fine for me shadows wise). Problem is as it goes on 1.69 becomes less usable for other stuff, case in point the new SOL.

There is always a lot of excitement about new bloat in CSP, but no one seems to be vocally trying to get this issue sorted.
I have this same issue since months, possible more than 6-7 months or even longer, can't exactly remember when it started. And I was not alone. People were very vocal over it. I had dozens of 'fixes', but not one worked properly and I still have the issue (as are many others).
Only a few weeks ago, I brought it back into attention, but apart from a few 'fixes' I already tried before) nothing new was posted and it went dead again.
Bottom line: so far nobody knows what triggers it.
 
If a 911 loses grip mid-corner I usually blame me (for forgetting about lift-off oversteer and getting on and off the power like I do in understeery front-engined RWDs).
If a 911 mod doesn't have any lift-off oversteer at all, I'm usually disappointed.

Try unloading the coast-side of the diff.
 
Hi guys, someone has a good version of the "Longford67" track because in my version the Ai doesn't work well, the opponents retire one after the other before finishing the race .... Thanks!

It's frustrating, i tried everything i could think of, then went back to 1.69.
Not being able to run latest SOL is the real bother.

That can also be due to a bad configuration of the race grid, or none at all. If you don't configure the race grid, this can happen to you on long tracks.
 
I copied most of the tyre, suspension and drivetrain data from the Kunos 911 GT3-R to this one (Instead of just replacing the tyres). It is a lot better but it still bounces a lot and sometimes loses grip in the middle of the corner for no reason. Yes i know i am not a Kevin Estre, so i can't judge the reactions of a car professionally but i can say that this grip and suspension model of this mod isn't very realistic compared to real life (maybe even compared to ACC, which is where it was converted from). Does anyone have any other recommendations about making this car faster and easier to drive? (Will definitely try the setup recommendations of yours by the way.)

It is not to criticize, it is more I do like your work, but those advertising banners on the track do not look at all like the real ones, if you need information about the circuit and you want it to be more similar to reality, I can to help.

One thing is true, there is no other Jarama in AC better than this one, although it is far from the real circuit it is the best there is.

Those photos you see are from this year, I was there two months ago, they have resurfaced some potholes on the track at this time, now you don't have to dodge them haha.

By the way look, this is what I was referring to in the other post with which the horizon had been lost.

This is the driver's point of view on the main straight (which is downhill) you see? you can see the entire city of Torrejón on the horizon.

This advertising that you see in the photo has been there for more than a decade, the bmw tower, the logos of the 'race' cepsa, mcdonalds, santander, motor mirasierra, lois, (that's a bmw dealer, my e36 came out of there) and seat advertising (a lot) audi and goodyear.

Another thing that is very characteristic of Jarama is being all the time watching planes land and take off, the airport is next door.


A curious fact, it may be that Jarama was the last track to remove tobacco and alcohol advertising, when it left the F1 calendar, it went from official circuit to private circuit, the advertising did not change until many many years later, and the advertising that replaced it was the one you see in the photo that has been (and is there most of it) since the days of 'banned' advertising

Hi! Created a track with race track builder and Google Maps 2D, then created the path, and installed Blender with the plugin to import a google maps 3D data.

Imported the 3D map into blender, and then exported to fbx and then opened with KSEditor. The 1000 objects from 3D on KS shows an error 'NULL MATERIAL'

Also that objects cannot be exported. What did I wrong?

I've asked this before, but never got a definitive answer unfortunately so I'll ask it again (sry to bother): How can one follow Reboot Team's work more closely? Like, news, updates, downloads... Do they have a discord or something of the sorts?

race preset for btcc 80-90s

NOT ALL MODELS are Btcc, I have decided to add from other categories because only the cloned Btcc models do not give a good race and some are far behind, this list of cars is very well balanced and they are categories in line, that is, they have the same power, they match.

If you only want to run with the btcc models you can do one thing, kick the models that you don't want from the grid, then clone the models that you do want, separate them from each other by 4 spaces, there you would already have the balanced race, but leave the amount of restrictor pre-assigned because if not on long straights some cars gain too much advantage over others.

With this configuration all the races should be as seen in the video, I have tried to make it look like a real race in that category where two or three cars always go ahead, then the race body follows and the tail a little further back

By the way 100% in str and agr is recommended, it is challenging and the cars are not going to have accidents.

Then it's a different issue I guess. I have the issue since an much earlier CSP version.

I get the weird stripy shadows in 1.69 but not as bad. But the 2nd pic i posted where the shadows almost changes the shape of the car body work is just terrible.
 
The next thing I'm going to do is sgt500 but that is a nightmare balancing, all the cars are very different from each other, I'm doing my tests and it's not going very well, some cars go a lot ahead, if you add too much weight or restrictor they no longer trace the curves well and cause accidents.
