Is Uncle M's MkI Golf GTI (with the diembodied driver's hands, the holes in the cockpit, the gaps in the seats, the flipped passenger mirror etc) really the best MkI GTI in Assetto Corsa?
A classic like this gets treated so badly while everyone focuses on pumping out copy/paste M4s and 911s?
Sheesh.
i was thinking the same couple of days ago but i think mk2 and mk3 have gotten the same treatment.

Some tracks better than others but these were the ones around at the time. (Oct 2020)

What a treasure trove!

probably the most appropriate parameter is this
suspensions.ini
BASEY = -0.110; Distance of CG from the center of the wheel in meters. Front Wheel Radius + BASEY = front CoG. Actual CG height = (FWR + FBasey) + (RWR + Rbasey)) / CG_LOCATION%
Front Wheel Radius - BASEY = front CoG. Actual CG height = (FWR + FBasey) + (RWR + Rbasey)) / CG_LOCATION%

Please note the change of sign in the first part and the struck through part is nonsense.

I love you guys so much. I'm not a very good modder, don't really have the time/skills to do what you guys are doing, but thank you.

My project atm has been trying to compile as many different circuits (including layout changes) that have ever been used in Formula 1. Was able to whittle down the total to 157, currently leaving me with 39 missing, and 8 of those that I do have as "close enough"
So, just going to share with you all the list of tracks/layouts that I haven't been able to exactly find (and outlining what they are in relation to currently existing tracks). Please keep in mind as well, that I'm not considering layouts such as Spa, Barcelona and Montreal 1994 as different layouts.

  • Ain-Diab/Casablanca 1958
  • Barcelona 2004-2006 (Layout with the shorter T10, and no chicane)
  • Buenos Aires 1953, 1955-1960 (Exists as Circuit No. 9 Alternative GT, but with the shorter final hairpin, and the newer final chicane)
  • Buenos Aires 1954 (Same layout as above, but run in reverse)
  • Buenos Aires 1995-1998 (Exists as Formula Argentina Circuit No. 6, but uses the older chicane before the final corner)
  • Caesar's Palace 1981-1982
  • Dallas 1984
  • Detroit 1982 (Same layout as Detroit 1988, but with extra hairpin section at Turn 5)
  • Estoril 1994-1996 (Mix between Old Estoril, and Current Estoril. It's basically current Estoril, but before the Turn 1 reprofiling)
  • Hockenheim 1970-1981 (Hockenheim 1988 but before the chicane at Ostkurve was put in)
  • Le Mans Bugatti 1967 (Current version of this circuit exists)
  • Long Beach all four versions (1976, 1978, 1982, 1983)
  • Magny-Cours 1991 (Has a chicane after the first hairpin)
  • Marina Bay 2008-2012 (With Singapore Sling)
  • Monsanto 1959
  • Montreal 1978-1986 (Pit straight after hairpin, and extra chicane before what is currently Turn 1)
  • Montreal 1996-2001 (Almost tempted to just count this as current Montreal, as the only thing that has changed is the pit exit, not the actual track layout
  • Monza 1972-1973 (first iteration of chicanes)
  • Monza 1974-1975 (same as above, but reprofiled Ascari chicane)
  • Monza 1994-1999 (Current Monza, but with the old Rettifilo chicane. Curva Grande through to Lesmos had all been reprofiled from 1993)
  • Nurburgring 1984-1985 (Final chicane isn't really a chicane in comparison to 1995-2001 layout)
  • Pedralbes 1951-1954
  • Pescara 1957
  • Phoenix 1989-1990 (1st sector completely different to 1991 layout)
  • Reims-Gueux 1950-1951 (old circuit that actually goes through Gueux)
  • Reims Gueux 1953 (Tempted to just say it exists as current Reims layout. Has tighter hairpins at Muizon and Thillois)
  • Sebring 1959 (I think a 1970s version exists somewhere? Even then, the chicane down the back straight is earlier on the straight in 1959)
  • Silverstone 1994-1995 (Differences to current 1991 layout are: Reprofiled Copse, reprofiled Stowe, introduction of Abbey chicane, Priory/Brooklands brought forward)
  • Silverstone 1996 (Differences to current 1999 layout are: Reprofiled Copse [same layout as above], Priory/Brooklands brought forward [same layout as above])
  • Silverstone 2010 (same as current, but pit-straight in the old spot before Copse)
  • Spa 2004-2005 (Before they straightened the pit-straight, but had reprofiled the Bus-Stop chicane)
  • Yas Marina 2021 (new layout for this season)
  • Zandvoort 1980-1985 (Chicane added at Hondenvlak)
  • Zeltweg 1964
  • Zolder 1973 (Close to Zolder 1967 that exists, but with Klein chicane added in)
  • Zolder 1975-1984 (Introduction of Jackie Ickxbocht chicane)

Mate this is absolutely fabulous! Love it. Only completed the first weekend so far, but I think it's excellent. I've only really done hotlaps and a few freeroam servers like Shuto and LAC and a lil bit of hotlapping on a filemissing server... so this is something new for me.

Thanks a bunch for sharing. Appreciate the effort that's gone in to it.

Isnt the 60s Hockenheim by Sergio Loro like the 70s layout?

Good Morning Anyone with any interest for this clue?? And a dream for me to use it in AC, Called Rome Night Gran turismo 2. Anyone about this? hugs from Brazil

This is amazing. Which car are you using?
And is this intended to be the final version of Silverstone before it’s current iteration?
I'm using the VRC Ferrari F310B (1997)
The layout is the last one from 1997 to 2009 before the 2010 changes. This one is based on the 2005-2006 appearance

Nope, after Jim Clarks F2 accident, both the Bremskurves where added and barriers put up around the track. I'm guessing thats the layout they are after.
Correct, that is the layout I am referring to

Thought so on both accounts. Great drive for both!

EDIT: Side note though, I did just find Barcelona 2004-2006

I don't think we'll have pescara for assettocorsa. 25.8km...

Btw having the rest would be awesome!!

It looks like Club Sim Racing have got their hands on a great version of Jarama (if you go to the video on YouTube, it says it is for AC);

Anyone feel like signing up to get the link? I've just tried but my Spanish language skills aren't so hot.

EDIT: Just tried on my laptop with Google translate, but it asks me to fill out fields I don't know the answer to (DNI?). It's going to take someone a bit more savvy than me to jump through this hoop.

DNI is national identity document.

I think that their Championships are private and that they are for paid

If that's the case, then obviously it can't be shared here. But knowing that this version exists gives me hope that it might find its way into the wild.
NAGPs tracks were all private at some point too.

Have you been unable to find any version of Jarama? I’ve been able to find a couple actually, I just have to find my sources again

Oh no, I've found at least four versions. What I haven't found is a good version.
Hahaha that was good.

I’m not too familiar with the track in history to be honest, but the ‘best’ version (one I found most enjoyable) from the ones I did find was by someone called Stigs Cousin I think it was? Seemed like it was a rip from GRID though

Yes, that one was from GRID. Gilles' Version was from GRID Autosport (I think). This version was then ported to RF2 and Easy ported it back! There is also the version on Race Dept, which is scratch-made but has a lot of issues if you look closely.
Those are the four versions I've tried.

Same here.I followed the instruction but never got a dm.I sent an dm to the admin but he never replied.

Yep, Jarama is cursed in AC. I drove there a couple of weeks ago in real life and it could be way better unfortunately.

Zandvoort F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2021 Extension have now been updated with new grand stands.
Enjoy ! 🙂

Hi Mate, great work. To help a little, I added all the marshalls and marshall stands to the track. I added it to your 2.0 grandstands kn5 if interested.

I've asked and there are two ways to get the content.

1: buying It from the store (there is only part of the content, sadly Jarama isn't there)

2: registering in their Championships. You Will have to pay with credits (1 credit = 1€). The tariff includes the car and tracks of the Championship you have registered in.

Thanks for trying. Its a shame that Jarama isn't in their store because I would gladly pay for a decent version.
