CLK_GTR.jpg

Does anyone have a fix/know of a better version of the road going CLK GTR by Velos mods? It's feels way too fast than it should be (3+ seconds faster than a McLaren P1 around ks_silverstone levels of too fast)

Just some miscellaneous little things some may find useful (post Halloween grab bag):

-Alternate pit lanes for a few @damone13x oval tracks (Chiappas + vao, Kansas, Kentucky, Richmond).

-Alternate pit lane for Bremgarten by Fat Alfie. Cars will enter/exit more to the left so they don't drive through the pit grid as much.

-Cams for Circuito de Jerez 2010

-Alternative pit lane for ddm Tsukuba short track (original broken?), plus more cams

-Okayama 94 cams

-Background photos for rt_dubai 0.8

-Rain fx streams and full spectator removal via CM for rt_fuji speedway

-cam for sx_lemans (crane view)

Is there a link for Chiapas? Can't seem to find this track anywhere except some facebook links--I don't use facebook. Thanks.

I’d check to see what tire compound that mod is running. Make sure it’s on proper road tires and not slicks. That’s usually why road cars are much faster than they should be from my experience.

hello dear friends

When I want to do night races, my fps drops a lot. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

I have a ryzen 5600x processor and a 980ti graphics card. Set at 1080p resolution

F1 2009 Sim Dream re-work done.

Does anyone have a fix for the gearing? Shifting from 2nd to 3rd is not good.

It'll be most likley the lights casting from the AI.
You can alter how many cars cast lights for example in CSP.
Also in lighting section there are some checkables that have warnings about being expensive to frames.

I'd check there. 980ti should be able to cope.
Obvioulsy check whilst using kunos tracks and kunos AI. As some of these landfill mods are garbage for optimization.

@saXXXon asked me to have a look:

AI reworked, Rain FX, Grass FX tweaks, VAO, plus more for Knockhill 2017:

-Reworked the AI side lines. Pit lane and AI hints added to reverse. Original lines seemed pretty good, so I left them intact. I know it's been done before, but I was too lazy to check if done well.

-VAO patch files added. Patch file on Github was not working for me. If you don't need them, simply delete (BTW, strangely, I was not able to create one vao file that worked for both layouts for some reason).

-Rain FX with streams

-Aerial objects added, originally created by Mascot. No flames, sorry.

-Background images

-config file tweaked to add grass to dirt patches and outer terrain, and to get rid of old 2d grass (removal didn't seem to be working with grass fx). Make sure to use included knockhill2017__extras.kn5, as it seems latest one distributed by github as of 11/5/21 is not working correctly.

Hope some of you like it, it was a little strange trying to get things to work on this one.
Great update. I have always had a small problem with this track. The feedback on the wheel from the rumble strips is very strong. Do you know if it can be reduced in one of the track files. Many thanks.

I think @damone13x has all his tracks here:

But Mega is acting weird right now so I can't double check.

Thanks Ken, much appreciated. I think if you look in each layout's data folder you'll see a surfaces.ini file. Open with text editor (back it up first obviously), and try messing around with the Kerb vibration gain and length numbers. Hit save to store changes each time to see if it's doing what you want. This might cause issues for on-line play obviously. I'm assuming lower numbers will smooth them out more. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess I need some help.
I have a car that when I steer left, the steering wheel and the wheels turn right and vice versa.

Is there something I can do, to be able to drive the damn car?

Thank you.
