Can someone maybe advise what would be the easiest way to remove objects from a track? For instance I would like to remove the bridge on Monza track which no longer exists in real life since 2018 (?). Which program do I need for? 3dsimed seems to be the wrong choice here? Is there any good advice or tutorial for a noob how-to? :irked:

with shaders patch you can add this
[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=monza.kn5
HIDE=Box099, Object75912

to
"assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks\monza.ini"
and the bridge is gone

hi, does anyone know how to solve this problem with Sol

I'm on the SOL discord (have been since the very beginning), but just wanted to give you guys hope who are having issues with (lack of) sun glare.

1) Bottom line, keep fiddling with different combinations of Sol config + PP filters until you get what you want.
2) THIS IS CRITICAL: Sol + CSP often does not implement all of its changes in realtime. You must restart to see all of the effects of your changes!

Here's what I managed to get:

I'm getting very orange grass no matter what time of year I set - is this as intended?

Thanks a million! Now, could you please advise how to get rid of the ugly and huge billboards (which do not exist in real life) at Jyllandsringen track? I understood that I have to create a ini file which is not the problem but how to know which object # to insert?

Cool, that works. But not after I renamed it to [MODEL_REPLACEMENT_3] since the ini file already had three of these replacements ;)

ok, then you also could add these to "[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]":

HIDE = marshall_HI_B_, marshall_HI_B_002,marshall_LOW_B_,marshall_LOW_B_002, Box099, Object75912

Have not tried adding the text there, but BLM lights is now showing red text saying:

WARNING!
The config file has invalid DUPLICATED SECTIONS that have been disabled:
-[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]

This is how it looks now (with the bridge gone):

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
;Hides bad Marshall Placement
HIDE = marshall_HI_B_, marshall_HI_B_002,marshall_LOW_B_,marshall_LOW_B_002,
FILE = monza.kn5

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_1]
;Adds new objects for lights and emissive
HIDE = Pole_detail_MID?
FILE = monza.kn5
INSERT = monza_emissive3.kn5
INSERT_AFTER = Pole_detail_HI3

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_2]
;Adds new glass
HIDE = Object250,Object248,Object252
FILE = monza.kn5
INSERT = Monza_Glass1.kn5
INSERT_AFTER = Object250

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_3]
FILE = monza.kn5
HIDE = Box099, Object75912

This is the only PPfilter I could find that restores proper glare and sun rays:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/a3pp-for-sol-1-2-early-access.26566/

The Sol and Sol_ACC filters are pretty terrible-looking currently. I'm seriously considering reverting all the way back to CSP 49 + Sol 1.0, because that was the last time the game looked consistently right to me (my screenshots from that period were amazing).

CSP 114 + Sol 1.2 RC1 is so chock full of weird bugs right now (like AI cars turning on their headlights regardless of lighting conditions or tracks that look wet) that it's just not worth messing with. There's a reason that CSP 49 is the last recommended version. My plan is to wait until they get it all sorted, then upgrade after people indicate it works and is reasonably bug-free.

First of all, let me say the filters are not terrible. A few tiny tweaks to the .ini (see screens below) are pretty dam* good. The 'wet track' yes is a bug being worked on with 114. I think your expectations are is that, if it's the latest I can get, no problems.
Secondly, you reverting all over the place.... 49? Really? You're doing yourself a dis-service going that far back, 74 is just fine. 114 is still in the baking stages, you should know that beings you posted the discord and have probably read it.

Sol 1.2 here with 79, not one single issue, none on my end. Also you had issues with the sun, I showed ya, its on your end. So to say outright, its (both SOL and shader) is 'chocked full of weird bugs right now', isn't really being honest.

Heres the SOL (non ACC) pp with a few tweaks. Is this terrible looking?
