Erm - ask @Zwiss ? It takes ages to properly convert a track for example. (Though he's rebuilding many things as well.)
converting is one thing, reworking, or rebuilding is quite another,
I whish conversions were like that, but yeah.. saying it's yours isn't cool too.
I don't know what conversion method you use, but converting directly, without reworking the track mesh or anything else, i.e. 1:1 conversion, doesn't take much time, always depending on the track and the number of objects.

What I do with 3dmax is massive renaming, I first select the mesh of the track, all the objects that compose it, then I rename mesh, with prefix, suffix and number, then I hide that mesh, then I do the same with the grass, I hide that mesh, and the same with the collisions.

It usually takes more time to give values to the shaders in the kseditor
 
The car has carry over physics from the 911 RSR from Kunos, so totally opposite thnak it should be.

  • Engine moved in the front, fuel tank in the back.
  • Corrected wheels
  • re-tuned aero
  • re-tuned engine (wasn't that powerfull) now well balanced to race with the ACL pack and the 240z from Geroda.
  • re-tuned suspension
  • amended setup settings
  • amended gear ratios
  • etc.

So, which version of Porsche 924 GTP is most complete and up-to-date? There are versions by EASY, fixed by Masscot, new data by Riky_Sim. There is some confusion with this. %)
 
At least CM updated Easy´s one with the driver fix by @Masscot - seems he is still active here?

I wrote before and I tell you again that the skins FIT BOTH CARS I have installed, i.e. the SDD car and the one posted recently by Cozy61.

And while I don't know if Chivas (I don't even know a Chivas' version of this car) made the car from scratch or not, IT IS the exact same as the one I posted (SimDream), bar some improvements made by Delpinski.
So they either used the same model, or someone stole from someone.
Just my two cents: I have both the Chivas FT-1 and the one Cozy61 posted, and they definitely are a completely different model.

Can any of you please advise me on what can cause these crazy lines all over the car? It's very frustrating. I found that if I have CSP 0.1.71 installed, the lines on the car are not. All CSPs from 0.1.72 to 0.1.76 make these lines on the car. I've highlighted just a few of them to let you know what to focus on. Resolution is not much. Can it be set somewhere so that it is not visible?

I only said that the Cozy61 posted and the SDD/Delpinsky are the same. I also stated that I don’t have or know the so called Chivas version, which BTW should be clear from my post you quoted.

Your quote contradicts itself quite a bit, so it wasn't at all clear what you mean. If you read it, it says you don't know a Chivas version, but after that you say it is the same model.
My apologies, I didn't know which part of that I should take seriously.

EDIT: Or maybe you accidentally wrote Chivas, which would actually make sense.

ive since spoken to easy and he wants to make his site more like assettoland aka a site for hosting everything which can only benefit all.

fair points raised from everyone which have certainly changed my perspective about modding.

I don't think anyone knows, been known for a while and everyone seems to get it on different csp versions and settings

These "crazy lines" you mention are from the HBAO i think, try to change the method to ssao
I see people complain about this quite often and as @UolterUait states, I don't think anyone can give a definitive answer. A recent issue was closed over on github stating "I'll close the issue because it's not a CSP bug. To solve this, you need to disable double shadow". I have seen this happen myself with double face shadows but it is certainly not limited to that:

I thought I'd fixed this recently by going into the nvidia control panel and setting Texture Filtering - Negative LOD bias to "clamp" - it seemed to work for about a month or so and then those bloody lines have come back again.
I have given up worrying about it as i can only see them under certain lighting angles and time of day. But it does make taking preview images of skins difficult sometimes.

And I don't see why it is so hard to understand, nor where there's a cotradiction in what I wrote.
Again, and this will be my last response about all this, I stated that I have:

  • the SDD, version that was updated by Delpinsky
  • the version posted by Cozy (that has no info about author or version).
Both have the same file name.
That's it.

I have no Chivas version and I don't know the Chivas version, so I can't comment over them being the same or not.
I said that both versions I have (see above) are the same (apart from updates) and that the skins match both cars.
 
It´s caused by smart shadows. Disabling it = less artifacts.
No smart shadows, or anything mentioned above (tried @MrB00's suggestion also). Surface is not double faced and doesn't have double faced shadows enabled, yet if you hit a certain time of day it looks like this:

I gave up trying to find a solution quite a while ago, but now and again it can be quite annoying depending on track and of course time of day. Looks even worse in VR. This is also not limited to mod tracks, Kunos tracks do it too.

btw he is sharing his stuff there now.

That is hilarious! As far as I am aware, that is the whole point of cs.rin- to post paid mods for free.

Indeed, and as we know the pure and csp previews get posted there on that forum....
So yeah, not sure people realize he talks to Ilija and Peter...

Concerning sound, when I try to replace sound (with content manager feature) by another sound from a turbo car, sound of engine is changed, but I haven't any sound of turbo.

Maybe there is a file with settings for sound of turbo ?

(I tried it for this 924GTP but I have the same issue with other cars ...)
 
Does anybody know how to fix the glitch when the driver teleports himself outside of the car facing the door inward, it's kinda distacting even though very brief. It doesn't show on the replay so I cannot capture any screen.

It's really cool to take a slowish JDM such as latest updated version of Kilin's GR86 or BRZ and do a one-on-one battle with the Lancer at Jim Lloyd's Joux Plane.
Hence I'd be very grateful if somebody could help me to get rid of that glitch please!
 
Has any of you come across this weird skidding issue with CSP extended physics?
The cars also seems to start bouncing around a lot more when extended physics are enabled.

Once more with a completely standard Kunos car with extended physics enabled:

During all three spins the brakes were completely locked all the time. Does anyone have an idea as to what this might cause this and how to resolve it?

I've got their Renault RE30, their Williams FW15C and their McLaren MP4/5. Works of art! Especially the sound is spot on!
I've got a couple of different McLaren MP4/5, but theirs is my favorite.
I've watched several of their videos online, apparently it's a lot of old RF rips and not done to a particularly high standard? Oh well. I might buy one, just to test the water. Thanks for the input though.
