Had to change the folder name so that Mazda Cosmo Sport would record mileage properly, so looked at some minor cosmetic tweaks at the same time.
Will install as a new car, so the original is preserved. Thanks to なんだこぱんだ and to anyone else who brings these unique classic cars to AC in a car park flooded with modern BMWs and Porsches.

Hello. It's mine mod. I basically don't allow secondary distribution. I wrote "If you have some problem or issue, please contact me."
This time I will turn a blind eye to. so please do not do it again. If you want to distribute this mod, contact me from now on.

Does anyone know of any mid-1970s Formula 5000 cars that are available for AC, besides the Shadow DN6 from RD? Or perhaps anything from other games that would be a suitable conversion candidate?
Screenshot_crl_f5000_shadowdn6.jpg

This car really needs some pals to run with. I considered making some alternative skins for it but having some other cars to build a field with some body shape variety would be preferable. Some Lola T332s/400s, Beggs or Elfins would be amazing.

I agree with Beezer215 on the Ultra Grip.
Also try this:
GAS_BRAKE_LOOKAHEAD=3

This will make the AI more reserved in their corner entry speed. Reducing BRAKE_HINT will also make them brake a bit earlier.
A good track to test this on is Mosport. The double right hander in the middle of the circuit will test if your AI can keep it on the road.
Ok thanks for that guys, but when you say all of that, do you mean to increase the value of gas brake will make them more reserved, or decreasing? I copy and pasted what was said to me yesterday on this forum but I'm not by my computer, if I can get as much on the matter the better, and peoples different point of views as well!

You might want to try this set:

EDIT: Ooops. I missed the 'mid-70's' bit! 🤪

People have to join Twitter to contact you, assuming they saw that link in the first place? If it's that important, a note with a link in the car's UI might be worth adding, just to make it more obvious.
Anyway, like I said in the original post, thanks for converting the car. Feel free to use any of the updates if you want. Or not. Life's too short and this is a videogame.
:)

I don't think every modder shares that mindset at all. In my naivety and old-school 'spirit of modding' mindset I think a lot of modders of converted stuff (as opposed to scratch-built content) want the best possible version of their car or track so that everyone, even themselves, can enjoy it to its best potential, and they would welcome help and assistance wherever they can, even if it's for basic things like proper folder naming. But I'm probably wrong though. This is 2022.

Dude, calm down. He does. Like, litterally. His original post and modification was basically "I can't find how to contact the author so i'll update it as a new car, so it doesn't affect the original, because i'm not the author". At least that's how I (and i'm surely not the only one) have seen it.
And don't assume that everybody download your car from your youtube profile, it's very, very unlikely. Just update it with the author link directly in the UI and tadam, problem solved :D

This. Thank you :D

I am encountering a strange glitch, maybe someone here can help.

Parts of the AI car are desappearing when looked at from the cockpit, but not from the outside. It only (as I know) happen with the Mazda RX7 IMSA GTO made by Zin5ki, and it doesn't change if I'm using it as my own car or just as AI. It does it from the inside of every car. No problem in the showroom, just in game, even in the replay. But it looks normal if I do an ingame screenshot, I had to do an oldschool manual screen to see it.

From the outside, normal :

From the inside (of the RX7 here, but it does the same with every car) :
wut.jpg

The skin doesn't change anything, it does the same with all of them.
Does someone here knows why ? And how to take care of it ?

Thanks is advance :)

Thank you,really love this car!!! but should the interior be so dark ? I mean is almost pitch black inside regardless of daytime/sun position ?

From MNBA:

Porsche 911 (964) Turbo 3.3 S Leichtbau IMSA 1993

View attachment 1113563

In 1992 the Special Wishes Department at Porsche announced the very exclusive 964 Turbo S Leichtbau. The first ever lightweight Turbo to be produced by Porsche.
In order to reduce the overall weight of the car sound proofing and undercoating were limited to minor amounts, power windows and power steering were removed, rear seats were removed. Fibreglass reinforced carbon composite panels were used for the doors, bonnet and rear wing. Thinner glass, RS bucket seats and RS door cards completed the weight saving. The Turbo S Leichtbau is 396 pounds lighter than a standard 964 Turbo.
In addition to the weight saving. Porsche also enhanced the engine giving the Turbo S Leichtbau an additional 61 horsepower over the standard 964 Turbo. This was achieved with more aggressive camshafts, new injection valves and more boost pressure.
The Turbo S Leichtbau has various handling and performance enhancements from the standard 964 Turbo. The car was lowered by 40mm, has upgraded brakes, 3 piece alloy wheels, an aluminium shock tower brace and a reinforced unibody. The fender vents were inspired by the infamous Porsche 959. Front bumper intakes were added to feed air to the oil cooler and front brakes. The Leichtbau also features a unique rear spoiler.

I need a skin exactly like in Bad Boys movie. Can anyone help me?

Is there an echo in this echo chamber? We've already covered this, the creator didn't exactly make it obvious how he was to be contacted. Believe me, I have no interest whatsoever in 'secondary distribution' and less and less interest in updating mods to add basic fixes. In an ideal world cars would be released with a proper folder structure, shifting animations, glass properties etc already in place and wouldn't need editing. I've already had an encounter with one psychotic nutjob this weekend and that was enough to last me a lifetime.

Another ******** Japanese modder theory on why they are superior to you and you disrespect them because you fix their **** because they fail to do so.

I just find it very funny when they are on a very high moral high ground, yet they go out and paid hundreds to some random internet 3D model store that were just selling ripped models from CSR2 and claiming it was scratch-made.

If @Masscot doesn't use social media, where you shared your mod, personally I'd be more concerned about who gave it to him.
Why not share the fixed version with people on your page. That way, everybody wins.

Delete the lines in mirrors.ini and replace them with these:

[MIRROR_0]
NAME=x1_wing_mirror_l1

[MIRROR_1]
NAME=x1_wing_mirror_r1
It doesn't have a mirrors.ini file..

I did try it on another car that had the same issue (which did have a mirrors.ini file).
It made the mirrors go black.
Was it supposed to do that?

Is there a fix for the blurry/fuzzy windscreen caused by TAA on some mod cars? I've tried changing the Alpha mode to "testing" in showroom but that doesn't seem to work.

Yes, it's by CRLHistoricsModding and available here if anyone wants it..

I think this is the solution, i tried it a half year ago so im not perfectly sure.
In the cars extension folder's extension.ini put these lines:

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
MATERIALS = window (replace "window" with windows material name from showroom, the external material, or the internal one... cant remember :) )
SHADER = ksWindscreen

Did you unpack the data.acd? You have to unpack it with Content Manager and replace the mirrors.ini in the data folder created, then delete data.acd or repack the data with CM.

That mirror fix won't apply to any other car, mirror meshes are named in a specific way.
