holy moly!!! thaaaaanks delpinsky!! now we have a truly and beauty "white whale" on GTE grid, but i cant get work any extra lights! on the ext_config.ini, should not be the lights that are used? just like the detroit and poersche rsr 2018? because only see this line:
[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=rollovers_m8_gte.kn5
HIDE=LUMI4,LUMI5

and of course i put the rollover m8 gte.ini on assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/mods/
anyway, is posible to improve the sahder of the car? to me is a litle "mate". and whit the skins, they are a litle dark, so you guys can do more brillant whit photoshop, adjust the bright and the exposure...thanks delpinsky for you job on the car, very appreciated!

I answer myself:
Be sure to remove or rename the original data.acd to make lights goes on!💡

If its to much trouble and time for you, why are you asking others to do your legwork?
Registering takes 15 seconds.

Try putting forth some effort on your own if its right there to dl.
Gotta agree with P1 on this one. It takes way more time for someone else to upload that track than it would take for you (the OP, I mean) to just register on the site and download it yourself.

Essentially, you're saying: "It's too much trouble for me, so why don't you do it?"

Not to mention that membership of F1C is pretty much essential for anyone interested in AC mods.

TFW you don't use Sol and you can't understand 90% of what's said in this thread

Is it possible to drive the Goodwood Hillclimb on RD without Sol/shader patch? Any files that I can delete or notepad tinkering that I can do? Don't really care for the wet variant so I'm ok with losing that as well. It just crashes the game when opening using CM. Not the end of the world if I can't, since I've driven it to death on GT6 anyways.

I suppose because on this thread you can get downloads from sites which are charging for mods. Like the CIracesonline a few pages back.
You get the impression that the free mods that are knocking around on some forums would also be offered here with a download link.
If someone is willing to upload mods, then this place is offering exactly what say RD offers for example and i'd wager RD's downloads and how modders use them and no one else must be the envy of the sim forums....

From a forum perspective you could argue it keeps 'punters' on here and not on other sites. So if a bunch pop over to the other sites to registers they may decided they prefer it and stay there.

In essence.... why does anyone do things on here for free? Like delpinsky and others?
Because they want to share experiences and challenges they have over come and they are nice people and in truth like a bit of praise for it..
Uploading a mod so we can simply click on it and have the mod in our library is handy for sure. I did register at F1 forum and actually it offers everything and more so yeah i'll be delving into that place now.

There was a time mascot used to moan about APEXXER adding a password lock on his mods FFS....that took 1 second to use....so yes, having to register on sites for example in Russia or China etc etc isn't ideal. IMO this place should be a resource with download links for FREE MODS...

The logic is even more stupid when you consider that uploads from assettoland rock up on here when they are easily downloadable on their own site..
So yes there is an expectation, rightly or wrongly, to have mods on a download link...
It keepos people here and coming back and the bean counters are happy with clicks and ad revenue...

Well said my friend. The thing is that everyone here has a different opinion on what is okay and what not. For example it is completly okay to share well made paid mods but you get yelled at for example asking for a mod from BZ Simworks who only shares his work in FB groups for free because you dont "respect" his work by not downloading it over FB. Adding to that P1 is a little kid who mocks other peoples work they do for free while not releasing anything himself. I would just ignore him eventhough he seems like he actually has some knowledge about some topics. This specific thread became a ******** imo and I know many others think the same. Luckly you can make your own private groups...

Thank you, I looked at both picture, I can see you have the same values like I do but do not have the pink effect, but I am sorry, I don’t understand what I have to do to get rid of the effect.:guilty:

Edit 1 I did a few more test, when not in VR, the issue is not there, so it seems to be VR specific.
So that would explain that you have the same car with the same values but do not have the issue.
It might fix itself with the next patch or sol, who knows?:dunce:

Edit 2 I went back to Custom showroom, opened the generic window in material, changed depth mode from normal to off in change values and the pink effect is gone.
I hope it can help anyone else with a similar issue in VR.:dopey:

All the advancement are great, but all the small issues are a little bit of a pain, typical case of a blessing and a curse, I guess.:(

Does anyone know the magic code to get tyre data to display in ProTyre app? I think I've got a solution for 1 tyre set, but ProTyre shows nothing if I change the tyre compound.

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII Time Attack 1.0

The build of this WTAC Pro Class Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII started all the way back on April 1st, 2016, with a development time of over a month. A first AC-ready version was finished in May of 2016. During this time, more improvements to the 3d model and textures where made. Besides that, the first version of the sounds where added, internal only.
On the AC forums, FlandreNien and AccAkut shared knowledge for modding, and later during June, Aphidgod asked to help out with the physics for the car. Aphidgod did a great job on the car, after which many minor changes and tweaks were made by myself. In Februari 2017, I had little time to work on the evo, so the mod was given to Mantasisg2, but he was also unable to find the time for it.

Finally, after many years, the mod has been revived. The 3d model has been optimized, many details were added, and external sounds where created.
Have fun with this crazy Evo. It's only the first release, so feel free to give feedback on parts that could be improved. I cannot guarantee that there will be many updates, :)

Does anyone know the magic code to get tyre data to display in ProTyre app? I think I've got a solution for 1 tyre set, but ProTyre shows nothing if I change the tyre compound.
The easy fix:
- create a new folder (in Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\python\proTyres ) the ProTyres
- name the folder EXACTLY as the car folder you want ProTyres to have tyre data for
- copy all tyre related files (tyres.ini and tyre lut files) out of the cars data.acd into the ProTyres car folder

If you don't know where to get extract teh cars tyre data from:
- enable DEV mode in Content Manager
- open the car in question in Content tab
- right click in the bottom of the screen to enable context menu
- click on "unpack data"

Now the data.acd will be unpacked into a "data" folder.

- search in the data folder for all tyre related files (look into the proTyres app folder structure and study the files needed (always one tyres.ini which defines tyre compounds and physics values + several lut files defining each specific compounds wear, temp, performance, etc)

have fun ;-)

I've found the problem. LUT files are missing for the Soft and Medium tyre compounds. Data file has LUT for Supersoft, Hard, and Superhard. (There are tcurve LUT files for all 5 compounds.)

I'm getting a purple porthole (Oof! Sounds painful!) in the door glass. Anyone else?

Any idea why the ROTATION=0,0,0 config command does not seem to work when adding dynamic kn5 objects? I need to rotate the orientation of some helicopters as they are placed, but no values seem to make any difference.

I tried to apply the same fix as before, as I also see the purple color, but I am unable to select that part in Custom Showroom, tried and tried again but unable to select it.

Very detailed, well done ! Just to suggest in 2019 to add wipers animations and working headlights ( at least I dont see headlights active), using rain and night driving is very common these days in AC;)

@Jerry60 were you involved in the development of this? (Not sure if you're just sharing the info).

Its not a car designed to be running the rain or at night.

can someone point me to a link that explains all the materials / shaders, that kunos uses in AC please ... I mean fresnel C and things like that...
There are a lot of unknown things to me, and not all effects can be seen in CM or 3DSimed when fiddling with the values in real time
