Totally your choice and others will have to respect that, but for god's sake if you do keep it private, please do it quietly and with dignity unlike most modders in this situation who like to huff and puff and play the martyr card as if they're reluctantly witholding the key to everlasting life from unworthy peasants.Or maybe that is staying private ....
It's not a good look.
In fact, it makes the modder look like an asshole.

It is crazy how you guys are taking a little part of the message which was pointless , and use it against me , and ignoring completely the main topic involved and turning into another story to make me look like an asshole ....
That guy pointed out , it is good another person is basically sharing content without asking anything to authors and disrespect people by doing that ! especially when you spend countless hours to give high quality content !

Why don't you just ask him to remove your mods?

I don t know for me , it doesnot come too me as an idea to share exclusive content from another group on my specific website , unless my goal is to make damage to this group !

Ben, maybe I am a little too tense during these days, but from my own POV I don´t like these whining and drama here which you create. Your fellow friends are posting pictures here day by day, you write "maybe I keep it private" blabla. So what´s the point? Personally I visit this place to shut off from a disgusting real world for a couple of minutes but the drama just continues here.
You, of course, are being 100% correct if you claim someone is gaining attention when posting your mods, but you decided on your own to publish them. Btw, I guess you don´t have any license obtained by Porsche, Lotus, Audi whatsoever, so better stay calm instead of claiming copyrights.
You cannot tell me : i don t have license ... , okay , but a 3d model created by myself stays my intellectual property ,
If you start to really attack that point , then it is the end of modding ,
Even paid mods with fake names are on the edge , since when copying a design 100 % and sell it under your brand name is legal either ?

I don't think it's normal at all. We've had this whole situation with EASY some months ago, which was essentially the same. The line seems to be set at 'don't share paymods', which makes sense. Your GT2 pack, which is great by the way, is a Patreon-only mod and shouldn't be shared outside of your own group in my opinion.This is what I ve done ! Let's see ...

Sharing already freely available mods is a fine-line. Personally I like the idea of having a one-stop website where you can find everything there is to download for AC. I feel that's lacking at the moment. This forum also produces a lot of great mods, but having to search through the pages is a pain. In an ideal world they'd put the mod on their page, and link to the official source (if available, which in this case it clearly is). I hope this is something they can add in the future, then this site would be nothing but beneficial to every party involved imo
Now, to move on from this; I'm working on the newest version of Zandvoort, the 2021-track, which I'm editing to align with real-world data/pro-driver input. There are quite a lot of harsh terrain/material transitions on that track, and also the surrounding terrain/grass-colours don't match. I don't have the expertise to make this look good. Is there someone who's willing to help me out with this once I've got the base-version finalised?

You've misunderstood my post. I wasn't having a pop at you, I was having a pop at assholes who tease pictures of their mod, then say they're keeping it private. The classic bait 'n' switch for nothing but attention and a misplaced sense of power. Like anyone actually gives a fig.
My assumption was that you were joking about keeping it private.

Hi all,
all of a sudden my content manager is asking for the root folder out of nowhere and wont accept the place where it is and just gives me a little warning sign for the path...
and now it wont launch.... anyone ever had this?
edit... fixed.. jesus h you know what... the stupid permissions changed in windows overnight... without me doing anything

its the internet... i remember when xp sp1 was supposed to be the most secure platform and the crack was available days before it went live...
Stopping the internet from internetting is like stopping the tide with your face... better to do what you can and move on but if the goal is to have control then better to never put it on the net...

@benbaron Drama drama drama. Instead of whining just quietly email arsettoland and tell them to remove your mod. Why do you have to make such a big fuss about it? Your mods aren't that special anyway in the grand scheme of things. You are just another modder amongst a million other modding groups.

Sometimes I wish people would be a little more grateful for what they have received for nothing, rather than only complaning about what they haven't got for nothing. Silly me. 😞
Guerilla Mods have provided a number of nice mods for free. The GT4 pack and Toyota SF-R, for example. I recently decided it was time to show some appreciation as I have enjoyed driving the results of their work, so I sent them a Paypal donation. Doing so didn't bust my balls or break my bank account, but it did make both them and me feel a little better.
As "they" say, what goes around comes around.
