While the Nissan is cooking up, 2 more cars are almost done :)
Speaking of which or similar to those era of cars, does anybody know what happened to the Toyota 7 Prototype Mod? There were developments blogs on Racedepartment and after a while it sort of stopped half way through the year I think. Does anybody know If is still in development or left it completely?

Ok, I'm kind of new to this, so one probably silly question coming up: When a track has an /extension folder, and CM autodownloads stuff into CM's /loaded folder - which files take precedence? And what's the easiest way of making sure that the newest files are used?

Post from the modder on this forum a month or so ago that it's still WIP, exciting to hear alongside these others getting developed.

Just wanted to chime in on this, I’m pleasantly surprised people are still interested in the 7.
Fortunately/unfortunately it had to take the back seat due to offers of working with the owners of some other Can-Am cars to make their cars for AC, and ultimately all of my free projects were put on hold due to paid 3d work for RSS and another studio. After I’m finished my current commission, I won’t be taking another commission, or starting another project until I’ve completed and published the Toyota 7, a handful of Shadows, and maybe more.

Another day. Another bug. Where would we be without never-ending problems? 😡
Oh. Just driving instead of 'getting under the hood' again, I guess! 😒

Anyway... for reasons totally beyond my understanding, I've suddenly lost all of my in-game/ on-track switchable desktop settings. Does anyone have any idea what config file stores these?

I have backups of everything, but I don't know what to replace to see if I can get my last desktop settings back.

I already made an update last year and sended it to GzeroD by PM, dunno if he actually used it. Most the suspension actually was pretty well aligned, however the fundamentals that count physicswise were totally off. The A-arm design was almost 1:1, however both caster and KPI were not dailed in (literally 0 degrees caster, resulting in a shopping cart suspension).

For improvements I deepdived into user manuals, setup sheets and racer fora of both cars, collecting more datapoints as motion rates, spring rates, proper gearbox ratios and setup ranges. Having driven a couple of F-Fords in my younger years, the fun part was always controlling the rear end slides. Small tires low inertia and an open diff making this a skill game. I included some additional info (PDF's) in the zip file, regarding setup and general F-Ford behaviour. I reduced the backtorque of the Van Diemen and did some final tweaks on load sensitivity of the tires to make the rear a bit more controllable but as IRL you have to be quick with countersteering.

This version will not overwrite older versions (folder name prefix f1600_ , in game filter use 'Formula 1600'
You will need CSP as the Mygale uses physics extensions

Hope you like it! Enjoy and may the downforce be with you!

Hello, Bazza.
Well, we should all thank you! Now it's really decent car to race. Such a magical transformation of crap into masterpiece.
First to notice, this car is best among all the others that reflect brakes temperature as it should be. No locks and low pressure when it's cold, and then it warming up and become better and better.
The car is still kind of tricky sometime, but now it reacts like it should.
It is amazing,
have a good day!

PS: and also great thank for Formula Ford pdf magazine pages

We players would like to support as much as modders on Patreon...For those who would like to be supported on Patreon, guys I advise you to add 1$ pledge to access the content. What do you prefer 1000 patrons @ 1$ or 15 patrons @ 3 $ and more? Guys having 1$ pledges have more supporters if you browse them all. Don't forget that we have to support many guys so 1$ here and there is doable instead of more. I hope this message will meet some modders here.

Hi - i think you mean this - C:\Users\youracc\AppData\Local\AcTools Content Manager\Presets\In-Game Apps

I have tried Vee. It seemed to be ok, however it was quite long time ago.... Vee's suspension is absolutely different, right?
The Vee is still a little rough around the edges. I was surprised how much had to be done for the Formula Fords, so I expect that it might be a similar case with the Vee.

Or modders could, you know, do it for fun, rather than taking every opportunity to monetise their hobby by hiding things behind paywalls, often hyping them up like it's a whole new sim they've developed rather than just another slight variation on an already ubiquitous car... especially when 'their product' is a conversion from another game or an 'edit' of existing content. Makes me laugh when modders promote their payware cars on track mods that others have released without charge for the benefit of the community.
Right... where's my coffee?

When it comes to financially capitalising on everything and nothing, I knew the world was in trouble when I saw a news story many years ago about somebody selling bags of 'air' on eBay that Michael Jackson had supposedly breathed.

And then there was another true story about someone "retrieving" a floater that Agnetha from Abba had unintentionally left behind in a loo in a dressing room. That ended up in some obsessive collector's hands (so to speak), apparently mounted in a special glass bottle. And no. I'm not making that story up, I swear! 💩 ☠️

EDIT: Apparently, the ABBA story is referenced in the film 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert', where one of the lead characters carries a bit of the 'matter' around in a glass vial on a necklace. The other samples may soon be on offer via Patreon I believe.

That turd in a bottle is a rather nice analogy for some of the stuff that gets hidden behind paywalls.
Can we start calling any bad payware mods 'bottled jobbies' from now on?

Please fix. Same problems, fps drops. On the finish line Bahrain and Jeddah at night from 144 fps to 72

Even if no practice sessions have even begun yet... 😏

A preview of Jeddah 2022 F1 Grand Prix addons ! 😁
(billboards brands and locations are up-to-date, there is still some work to do with a lot of ground textures coming up, hope to get it done tonight)

Not sure if I can do a lot about it unfortunately. That's how the track model is made and that's why it is still a beta version (needs some lighting optimization I guess).
