Just wondering if anyone has any news on what Ilja is up to with CSP? The gaps between updates seems to be getting longer and longer. Once again, I'm contemplating pulling the pin on my Patreon subscription because of the lack of activity for the last several months, but I don't want to if there is actually useful work being done on it. If patrons are just being milked for nothing, then I'll be ... (insert expletive of your choice here).
He has sent out a bunch of updates to the testing crew over the last week or so. He was MIA for a bit but seems he is back full stride on working on CSP.

Hi shi, I've got errors when extracting files. I've tried with 7-Zip and WinRAR
 
In CM, got to content, tracks, in the description of the track you will see a line called geo tag, they actually are the longitude and latitude of where the track is located. You can edit those values.

Sol Planner has a set of buttons to move through the day (top right). Might be able to key the time too...

why not just stop paying until you hear of an update then sign up again. Not like you're missing out if you're not on his patreon because someone will post the news on here when he updates anything.
Well, like I said, I'm happy to contribute if Ilja is actually doing work on it, so I was trying to find out if he was. Then again, if he's been sent off to another country to run a stolen nuclear power plant, I'd rather not. :irked:

I am currently on 1.79p72. He has sent several builds out over the past week. He did go dark for a bit but is back.
 
Lights properly done now, looking good IMO. Its an in door dirt oval so works best under the lights.
Reckon it'll be ready for tomorrow. Might release one of the other dirt ovals too.


That's great! Can you post links for the cars as well so we can duplicate your video?
 
Available on racedepartment now the latest iteration of my Broadcast reshade, based on the latest PURE 0.142b. many improvements have been made to achieve the best realism, finally I managed to recreate the sun glare effect which you can often see in F1 broadcast races, FINALLY. In the next updates I might adjust some of the presets to fit the new ppfilter and the new PURE version even though many of them already work pretty nicely, especially the Broadcast TV sunny which is the main preset. Please read the instructions carefully. For any help please do not hesitate to contact me.

Installation:

From the zip file drag and drop all the files apart from the folder "EXTRA" into the main directory of Assetto corsa for reshade to work.
for the CSP settings just drag and drop the file into content manager it will ask you to copy the file and install. For my pure and script settings you need to simply drag and drop the content of the assettocorsa folder into your main assettocorsa folder the content already has the correct path, after that when ingame open the pure settings app and click import on the bottom you should find a file called "RealityBroadcast.ini" click on that and it will import the configuration

You then need Content manager, Custom Shader Patch ver 0.1.78 public or even better the 1.79 preview 5, and MANDATORY PURE 0.142b. from version 26 is strongly recommended the new ppfilter "Improved lighting for PURE" also knonwn as ILP and developed by @valex07 which you can download here https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/improved-lighting-for-pure.54601/ it has different filters, the one you must use is ILPgodrays to achieve best results. Is also strongly recommend to disable any Nvidia sharpening via Control Panel to avoid conflict with reshade filters

All the content of the folder Extra is not mandatory but if you want for the CSP setting just drag and drop the .ini file into the main menu of content manager, it will ask you to apply the settings.

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

Just a question, i have a lot of flickering with adboard ( especially adboards on tyres walls ) on the Suzuka extension freshly released on your Patreon, only in replay, any tips to get a ride to this, maybe CSP settings or a little fix on your side ?

Hi Marc! Yes, I noticed that too... 🤔
I guess it has to do with some long distance cameras on replay.
I will try to exaggerate the depth offset in an update... (done, should be better in 1.0.1 😉)

It'll just be the track, although legion's dirt cars will do the trick nicely.
The key to dirt is simply the amount of grip the track surface has, and the appropriate tyres.
Match them up and its golden.
The cars although i have a lot of them just aren't ones i want to release just yet as i go in guns glazing and do loads then oveer time refine them.
Which means i have a lot of functional dirt cars that work and look great, but lacking the nice stuff that people like that i can live without.

Edit : tested... much much better all around track... i don't know to reduce this problem for other track if i do increase or decrease FOV on tv cams replays settings... i have fear to break tv cams :D :dopey:
