Watching that Twitch streamers event race with F4 at Le Mans gave me some memories to the F4 mod I was doing. I know I promised I was going to release that T-021 mod last month, but I had a personal setback (good, not bad) back in August and then I moved to city for studies which just made my dedicated time to modding from 0 to -1. If only the kunos pipeline was for Blender I would have done this more quick. Animating and fitting the suspension is not easy, if anyone has advices/guide for the suspension animation and empties I'd be very grateful

As mentioned above, this is what i've done so far for Goodwood. Don't expect much. This is just a quick change to try and get rid of the neon look to make it more enjoyable to drive. I'd like to hear any feedback on the ambient lighting changes so I can adjust. You can fool with the shader values in the ext_config to get something more to your liking. Just let me know if you come up with something better so I can try\use them.

I can't get a handle on the grass textures so the grass may still be too saturated. The skins don't need activated, but you can try them out if you want. They make small changes to a few trees and parts of the grass. Lastly, there is very generic seasonal adjustments and the option to hide the wheat field object but they are inactive at the moment. Just open up the ext_config and change the two lines at the top to ACTIVE=1 if you want to use them.

Goodwood Test 1

This will hopefully get better in the future, but should work for now.

Hello,
does anybody know about a good tutorial on how to create window paint templates (does not need to be a video, as I can read :-) ). I know about the easy CM method, but that only works if the UV mapping has been done correctly before. I am completely new to 3d modelling but I want to learn it step by step. There are a lot of cars where I have to leave out bits and pieces with my skins (for. example rims, window banners, side window driver stickers, wing configuration etc. BPR had such a wide diversity of configurations, and I would love to recreate that it in the best possible way.... else it would be a waste of a lot of time :-)

Thanx for good hints where to start

Daniel

Hey guys

Looking for some help. I´m trying to find some Hillclimb tracks of the 50´s and 60´s for AC: Roßfeld, Ollon-Villars, etc...

Someone knows or has any of them? Thxs in advance.

(And before anyone asks, I didn´t find any at Breathe´s list!!!)

Is anyone having the problems with ACU Montreal where the car is porting itself into the pits when arriving at the pitlane entry?
The ai drives out normally but is teleporting itself into the pits...
How to fix this problem?

Just using the extension part makes a significant and pleasing (to me) change. I don't have your eye for the colour detail unless I have side-by-side pics, but when it's this clear (much more natural colours in trees and grass) even I can tell. Far less distractingly incorrect stuff whizzing past. I'll give the extras a whirl ina bit.

A lot has happened to the car since Mike173's re-release, I have to say, right?

Really great work on this, thank you again!

One thing - The wiper works but there's no raindrops on the windshield (interior view). Just me?

Hi!
I have only now seen the possibility of assigning a button for the speed limiter and I have seen that it works in game.
My question is: is it possible to remove the automatic limiter when entering or you are into the pits and than use the button?
Thanks

EDIT

I tried this in surfaces.ini into circuit data folder

https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/remove-pits-speed-limit.184400/

Changing this value to 0, auto pit is off and I can use the pit limiter but I don't tested yet if it has other effects...
For now it works!

Hi guys. This is my first job with car editing. So, sorry because surely something could not be perfect. But I also had to start somewhere!

So, I present my version of Alpine GTA V6 Turbo Le Mans. I worked on graphic only, so I leave original physic that didn't look so bad. But if someone want to work on it... he can do!
I used the ACT80 model, with first edit from Mike173.

List of changes:
  • LODS
  • CSP Settings
  • New plates
  • Wiper animation (not so perfect, but maybe @El Locho could improve my work)
  • Ligths Refraction
  • Light EXTRA A:Front and Rear Fog Ligths
  • Light EXTRA B:Highbeam

I plan to do some interior works in the future. This is just a starting point, and I hope you appreciate it!

NEW VERSION of my Alpine GTA V6 Turbo Le Mans with some internal upgrades!

Changelog:
  • NEW dashboard made from scratch, with all lights working properly
  • NEW full working stereo, with clock and external fonts (music player, Spotify...) integration
  • Some bugs fixes

Dang. We ain't in Kansas anymore... This is some great information. An AM clear head and several hours to absorb, for sure. Blender info is much appreciated. Great work!
exactly what I was looking for :-). How many hours must have been spent to create this manual...... absolutely crazy

Thanks huge improvement already! Way more natural look, really adds up to the immersion in VR! only challenge now is that the lawnmower man got a budget cut due to the high gasprices... Can't see the apex markers anymore (the yellow signs with the big cross in it). The wheat fields are very typical to British racetracks, and in spring /early summer always present at goodwood. Due to the update they somehow don't blend in anymore as well. Hopefully something we see in a future update combined with some 60's signs :D. Great job already, thanks a lot sir!

Kudos to JohnR for his Road Atlanta 2022. Pretty much perfect I think. Having just watched Petit Le Mans, it seems free of illusion breakers and annoyances. Auto traffic around the track is great touch (and almost expected now isn't it?) Only did track day, so still have to check the race-day crowds...

I can try. I need a new project anyways. I really want to do a complete tree change on Lime Rock Mountain but don't know where to begin on doing something like that.

Now don't judge this because it was thrown together quickly, but i'm assuming you want something like the pic below. It was mostly done with just shader adjustments. I find a lot of the old tracks that came out before the days of CSP\Sol\Pure look fine on the base game, but have ambient and diffuse numbers that are too high for CSP\Sol\Pure. Most of them need nothing more than a few shader number changes to get rid of the neon look.

I'll work to make it better than what's above and see what I can come up with. The track could use some modern touches like grassfx, rainfx, etc. Oh yeah, thanks for the kind words. Makes it worth the effort knowing someone is getting some use out of what little I can do.
If you want another project after Goodwood, I would like to propose Majura Valley. It is a very good track for an unfinished beta*, but the grass can use a serious 2022 update.

* Last I heard, the modder is out of the AC modding game, and the track has been removed from RD.

Hey guys, just got up to speed after three months of being outside the loop. Loving the BPR liveries, all the work by DaBaeda, the M1 procar, and every single thing you guys are doing to keep this game a constant stream of enjoyment.
Having sifted through the pages and installed what I wanted to, I'd like to make a request, which I think (or rather suppose, since I have no idea how to it) is not that much work. I was already working on a custom championship for the 1994 BPR series and I noticed that we dont have the layout of Linas-Montlhéri that was used in that year, and I assume in many other races. So, @DaBaeda is it possible to add it?

Sorry. I didn't pay attention to my grass lengths. Try this. It shortens the grass to see the signs better. Could be shorter, but if I go any shorter, there's no point in even having grassfx.

The 2017 Court layout is certainly similar looking. Maybe just a skin to time-warp it...

show must go on .... here is the next BPR skin. It is the Freisinger Motorsport #44 Porsche 911 Bi-Turbo as seen in Paul Ricard in 1994.

is it possible to remove the automatic limiter when entering or you are into the pits and than use the button?
Extra Options in tab "Main" of the server setup:
Code:
[PITS_SPEED_LIMITER]
DISABLE_FORCED = 1   ; Disable forced pits speed limiter
KEEP_COLLISIONS = 0 ; Activate collisions between cars in pits
SPEED_KMH = 80       ; Alter pits speed limiter value; default is 80
Edit: And set min required CSP to v1.76 (1819) so noone can join with a lower CSP. :)

I'm a normal AC user and I only get blue break crystal model... it's so annoying. How to decrypt?
The car is encrypted in the most friendly way. With latest CSP, it shows correctly on CM showroom, and even allows the creation of custom previews. Perhaps you need a more recent version of CSP?
Related. Without access to the keys, Public Key Encryption is all but un-decryptable. It's designed that way. ¯\(ツ)

He did say he uses normal (vanilla) AC.

This is yet another problem with encryption. A LOT of people still use vanilla AC and it makes these mods unusable for them. That goes for both cars and tracks.

I use vanilla AC too sometimes, as I'm not the only one in my house that drives on my AC, and I don't want my install messed up because my missus has done "something" in CM.

I'm really sorry, because it's a nice model, it has an animated door, hood, trunk... I can see it in the CM showroom, but unfortunately I have to do without it in the game. I don't think just 1-2 users would be happy with the unencoded version - I think there are many people who don't want to use CSP and other additions. I've made some track mods and will continue to make them in the future, but I'm not going to force the community to use other stuff.

he's not using CSP at all, that is the problem. He ask for an uncrypted version to play with Vanilla AC if i understood his post

You probably used one of the skins with a separate ext_config.ini in the skin folder, right? Quickfix: use a different skin (or delete/rename the ext file in the skin folder).
