Thanks for everyone! :)
I am currious about the file "barry.kn5" as this file is traditionally only found in ripoff tracks by Gilles75
Did you borrow it from his trackrip or?

btw RSS is working on this mod…

Hillclimb Candelaria Gran Canaria - rain and grass and vao and so on...

Track can be found here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/giantruck-simulator-candelaria-hillclimb.21254/

Files can be found here: https://www.racedepartment.com/down...naria-rain-and-grass-and-vao-and-so-on.55449/

The vao turned out quite big, so I can't attach the zip here this time.
Otherwise same as usual, for those who want it - not much rain on Lanzarote, I know but anyways...

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

I stumbled upon my GTL track conversion here: https://www.assettoworld.com/track/kirkistown-motor-racing-circuit
I saw on one of the forums that it was getting a lot of criticism... so I started to clean things up. It got its original name back, because it's not Kirkistown, it's too bleak and empty for me. I built a fantasy version based on Kirkistown, adding a lot of things, and this is Kirkispark. I tried to bring back everything from my original GTL track and added a lot of extra stuff... I don't know what the "barry.kn5" file is, maybe it's something transparent, because it's not visible - I'm sorry if it was accidentally left in there. Kirkispark is my track, I built it from scratch to GTL. If I made a mistake during the conversion, I apologize! The my original GTL track here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/kirkispark.27119/
I use Bobs Track Builder for track construction, I have built about 100 tracks so far. I make XPacks for construction, they are easy to use in BTB, I keep them, store them, many things can be used on other tracks - trees, bushes, buildings, bridges, etc... I have 835 items, self-built XPacks. So I hope you don't think I'm stealing a file called "barry" from Gilles75... maybe I was careless, maybe I work too much Please reassure me that you ask for another reason, mate.

extraordinaire !!!

this mod is a top class one
j'adore, i love it

Not that I really care about this, but FYI hood and trunk immediately close very fast after opening.
What I do care about is that without reflections FX there's still no rear lights, blinkers, brake lights... only reverse light.
Just repeating this because there must be something 'wrong' since it's my only installed car with refraction lights where they don't work.
Could you please check ?
Reflactive lights are broken when dynamic shadows are enabled. Maybe check this in your CSP config?

Thanks, but I use the Dynamic shadows settings as you show them.
I do know what causes the (rear) refractive lights issue, namely the disabled REFLECTIONS FX, which I have disabled for several reasons.
But refractive lights are OK with all other cars that have them, it's only this otherwise gorgeous M1 Procar that gives me the issue.

In the meantime I was told that the light.ini is not configured for normal light without FX reflection @DaWallace.
Not that I know how to change that :P

And as i said before, the lights.ini is anyway overridden by the extension config. And i said before, if i get some time, i will look again at the rear lights refraction.🙄
Always doing drama?

No drama at all, just thinking it could be helpful ? My bad for answering @Fall Guy who tried to help.

Hillclimb Arona Tenerife - rain and grass and so on...

Track can be found here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/hillclimb-arona-v1-0.21607/

The vao comes per CM, so just some rough patches of grass and rain for those who want it.
Also flowing water for the small lake behind the starting point, too bad the river has no water, would look really cool...
Great track with lots of blind corners.

Hi. These cams look stunning. Hope to see these released soon as well as other tracks. Well done.
Thanks Ken, glad to know you are liking the replay cams 👍... Will be reviewing and updating YT videos with sharemod-links. Unfortunately, it may take a bit more time than expected due to losing many completed works on my last 2TB SSD hard drive (cyclical-data-error) which Samsung is currently reviewing and hopefully fixing it (recovering all data, if possible, that is).

Hillclimb Moya Gran Canaria - rain and grass and so on...

Track can be found here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/hillclimb-moya.9007/

The vao comes per CM.
I tried to reduce the brightness of some objects per the extension config.
Other than that - great track but BEWARE: If you start your run in Hotlap mode, the car will spawn the wrong way 'round, so hit "back to pits" and then go up the hill. (If somebody knows a fix for this other than modding the Kn file...)

Fantastic. Looking forward to your Le Mans cams. They look brilliant.

Hello, I tried to use he URD EGT pack cars, but I discovered they have all an error in aero file, so the game crashes. I thoght was my files, so I download the mod again from URD website but I didn't solve. And seems to be in all car.
Please can someone make a fix or give a link for a fix? I'im interested mostly in Darche EAT because it's the only 911 RSR m.y. 2013 avaible (the model between 911 gt3 rsrs and 911 rsr gte).
Thank you very much
Hi guys, I'd like to corroborate this report of crashes using the URD EGT cars. The problem is it's sporadic: sometimes it happens immediately; sometimes it happens during a race; sometimes it doesn't happen at all.

As the previous poster mentions, the 'errors.txt' log spits out errors mostly related to aero.ini in addition to a couple for digital_instruments.ini. For example:

Code:
INIReader: content/cars/urd_egt_bayro/data/aero.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [WING_0] ZONE_FRONT_CD
INIReader: content/cars/urd_egt_bayro/data/aero.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [WING_0] ZONE_FRONT_CL

INIReader: content/cars/urd_egt_bayro/data/digital_instruments.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [ITEM_1] UNITS

Could the above errors cause crashing in the manner I described? Or is it a red herring?

The values appear to influence aero drag and aero lift. In the example above, 'WING_0' is the body of the car and 'WING_3' is the diffuser.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Random question, looking at many "discussions" in various group recently about physics about how some are better at it than others. Not being a content creating guy I can just comment on what I try. Just commenting as someone who actually works in automotive field and just an enthusiasts. So many cars, street cars more so, have alignment setting defaults that doesn't make any sense, or without ability to adjust them to ranges that makes sense. So many cars I see came with rear toe-out in "stock" car. No factory will ever ship a car with rear static toe-out. Not unless they want to actively kill their customers. Pretty damn unlikely a car "optimized" for the ring will do that neither. Too high speed, instability is killer at the ring. I might tune my autoX cars to have rear toe-out for autoX, and I have, but I am doing that knowing my speed is gonna be below 70mph in pretty much all cases and I don't have to ever think about a 100mph braking into a corner in a FWD car. Do mod maker do that because they just want the car to feel lively? I feel like they just slap on loose setup(sometimes without adjustments to bring it back) and just stick on sticky tires and say look the laptime is good....

Oldschool FWD slow ******* might make sense sometimes with that setup, you can stay on power more of the time. But FR with powerful engine? Just seems crazy...

Most of them have no mechanic background of any sort.

I don't know why this track seems gray to me, like if it was snowy. I have seasonal adjustments off. Fiorano 2017 works fine. Pics below. Any ideas?
