Since there is a model of the R&S MkIII coming that fits alms99, I removed the fake air intake/outtakes to let the model be what it was. I don't know what year this model was... but less
squinting required now ;) Link updated 9pm (original link too)
R&S-MkIII-new.jpg

we've got a more accurate 1999 R&S MK III A for that exact season:

It's not finished plus compared to the others, it's way too fast (even faster than VRCs)
Yours looks great! I need it :) Looking forward to the release. (notable that the R&S MkIII with the Judd V10 was faster than the 333s...)

Hi, if I activate Weather Fx the time discord is activated, and actually if I do a simple race time passes, going from day to night for example, but why doesn't it work with custom championship races? (I have not installed SOL)

Someone knows if there's the 1A version of Paul Ricard for this game? the one with the flat first chicane
Javire (who did the ACC conversion a few months ago) was about to do it as an additional classic layout (he has GP and GT layout so far) but he didn't do it yet.

Check on his discord if he still intends to do it!

Hey guys, any idea how I would change the color of the tachometer background in the cockpit. Not a hud, but the color of the actual tach on the instrument cluster in the car? There is a porsche GT3 mod I love but the tach is a weird color background. I wish you could change that in the CM paintshop like you can the rest of the interior.

I remember I asked him for it and he hadn't in his mind to do it :(

In lights.ini, color being set by RGB scale
The madness continues.
Thanks very much to the 176 subscribers (you know who you are!) but sadly, $8,800 a month doth butter no parsnips.

At this pace, it will be in the Guiness book of record for the most skinned car EVER :lol:

Sorry, but this doesnt make sense. :)

CM gives a **** about 32 or 64 Bit. Your installation of Windows has to be a 64 Bit version.

View attachment 1215563

If you're already using 64Bit of Windows, which is basic since many years, and Assetto wont launch in 64Bit, than there is smtg messed up in your system. I'd recommend an installation from scratch. :)

Well, afair the installation of CSP is possible with 32 Bit but it wont be use. Not entirely sure about the installation part tho. But the requirements of CSP are pretty clear. :)

This skin doesnt look that complicated. If noone has done it yet, it'll be a good starting point for your skinning career. :D
OH

Thanks :)

Any AI line making experts around here?

I'm trying to redo the ai lines for 1934 Spa. I have the start of something that works, although I don't think it's possible to get Malmedy to work right. The AI just can't handle that tight turn very well. Hints have helped and reduced the amount of pile ups at that spot, but it's still a mess on the first lap most of the time.

My biggest issue though is that the ai are ridiculously fast on the straights and brake too much in the turns. I know the turn problem is my lack of driving skill (I brake too much when entering the turns when recording because I suck at driving), but I don't get why they are so fast on the straights.

Am I not supposed to use full throttle during recording when i'm on a straightaway? Is there any way to slow them down on a straightaway?

ai_hints.ini (examples)
[MAXSPEED_0]
START = 0.205 ; use AI line helper to get the values
END = 0.213
VALUE=150 ; max speed in kph

[HINT_0]
START = 0.205
END = 0.213
VALUE = 0.5 ; ammount of throttle application example 50%

[BRAKEHINT_0]
START = 0.205
END = 0.213
VALUE = 0.5 ; ammount of braking example 50%

Recording AI line is not really dependant on speed while recording (most of my AI was recorded at slow speed).
I also use sidelines to help guide the AI (not just a simple outline of the physical road boundaries.

Hey guys, just wanted to say for personal
use I’m making a grid of cup-car style liveries for the Kunos SUV’s and the AssettoDrive X6M.

By the end each car should have five skins each for a total of 20 cars. I have finished the first three so far. The Samsung X6M, the HiFonics Macan and the GReddy Maserati.

Not sure when they’ll be ready but they’ll
all come in a single pack on RaceDepartment when they’re done so you can use them for your championships too.

Also just a note the Cayenne is not my livery, it’s just there for the photo I’m using for my championship.

This is just for fun and they aren’t super high quality but I hope they can make your SUV races a little more interesting.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for brands I’d be glad to take them.

Hi mate... what do you mean by using sidelines?

I'm asking you cause I'm not able to create tracks but I love to create new layouts of existing one... and I can do it not perfectly 'cause AI is strange when it goes out of the original track and also bring out the yellow flags everytime...

I'll lose interest soon enough when I move into my Patreon-funded McMansion, but the irony isn't lost on me that this car is a pain in the ass to skin for. Those big-box wheel arches, the adjacent panel misalignment, and the fact that every. single. decal. needs stretching or squashing makes the whole process slightly masochistic.
I guess a bit of self-flagellation at Christmas is good for the soul though.

The madness continues.

Remember to earn more, do less, far to frequent, do the odd patch and update (make sure to break some stuff so people will wait another 3 months or so for the 'fixes'....then break something else don't forget).
Big long gaps is what you want to keep them hungry. Then sit back and get 20k a month.

Hi

Have you updated your settings since then? What about the new added featured settings to the g-force and head alignment ?
Would you mind sharing those please?
Hi Lam. I haven't updated my NeckFX settings since that post, so I don't actually have anything new to pass on. I didn't even realise there were new g-force and head alignment options! I just got things set the way I liked it, then forgot all about even looking at that particular FX module after installing new CSP updates.

Maybe I'll have to fiddle with the new options and see if they add anything to my current settings, though I'm so used to the way everything is set now, I'm not sure I really want to alter them. It might feel like trying someone else's glasses. 🤭

Thanks for the info. I already knew about Hint and Brakehint, but I never heard of Maxspeed before. That could come in handy. I was able to make Malmedy manageable by using a Danger hint. So that's four hints I know about now. Are there any more or a list of them somewhere?

I also didn't know that speed didn't matter when recording. That might allow me to make a more consistent recording if I can drive slower. That's always my problem doing AI lines. Lace of ability at full speed. And yes, the sidelines are a nice way to keep the AI in check so that they don't stray too far from the ideal racing line.

Would you happen to know one other thing. Is there any way to re-record just a part of the racing line? The one I have now is good except I took one turn too wide. Would love to fix just that one spot without having to re-record the whole thing.

Have you any plans to do the Lola MG EX257. Cheers.
As peugeot stated it's in the works. The LMP1 Spec should be coming in a 2006 racing season pack along with the original RS Spyder.
It's in the works.

yeah even with some BoP from the VRCs they are still way too fast, the lola B98s have an issue with braking way too early aswell
I got a Lola pack last year including the EX257 with the skins from 2001 to 2004. I'll try to find it and give you a link.View attachment 1215648
Should be in the LMP.rar mega pack from neilB. (the original mod)

@leBluem's blender addon looks like it might allow tweaking ai lines inside blender and re-export, haven't tried it myself yet, though...

Import the ai file:

Select the spline, [TAB] into edit mode, enable proportional editing, select a vertex and press [G] to move it, scroll the mouse wheel down to increase the proportional editing radius, then move the points as needed.

I've been away from AC for months and seem to have forgotten most of what I had learnt! :lol:

Edit: I use Content manager BTW...

Hi and good evening y'all

For my AC Racing Game remakes series, i was gonna remake Mobil 1 Rally Championship, this is what it looks like:

images.jpeg-5.jpg

I only had these mods: Evo 6 WRC, STi 22B WRC, Cordoba WRC, Proton Wira (Evo 3), 206 WRC, Evo 5, Golf KitCar, Megane KitCar, Escort Maxi, Escort Cosworth GrA (as replacement of Escort KitCar), Ibiza KitCar, Saxo KitCar, 106/306 Maxi, Micra KitCar and Puma KitCar (And yes, all of them are in rally modfications).
And including the secret cars that are part of the game:
Peugeot 309 (Bernie's Dicemobile), Toyota Corolla WRC (MF Hothatch) and Renault Clio V6 (Stock rally, but listed as secret car according to IGCD).

but what i needed some AC rally mods to exist is the Coupe/Tiburon KitCar, Almera KitCar, Astra KitCar, Octavia WRC and Felicia KitCar (Octavia WRC and Felicia KitCar mod for AC existed, but unfortunately, it's private so i can't download and will not be remaked until i downloaded them), Proton Compact, Civic VTi Rally and Puma 4WD Evolution (Fictional as MF Turbo), these are the last rally car mods i needed to remake and call it: "Assetto Corsa 2000 Rally Championship" (replaced the word "Mobil 1" to "Assetto Corsa")

And wouldn't be cool if the rally version of Civic EK9 mod exists?
