I believe that one comes from here:
Pay-what-you-feel-is-right mod.
Oh give me a break...might as well go back into waiting for SWDC tracks to be ported to AC.

Thanks, bit hard because the mapping is wonky in some places so it's hard to make a 1:1 recreation.

Sandown livery being the biggest offender... Argh. People have been importing GT6 models, it's only a matter of time before FM5-6 models make their way to AC.

Looking fantastic mate!

Could you please point me in the right direction to download the car? Thanks :)

Links updated with new versions. To be safe, delete any of the previous versions you have. A huge thanks for this update goes to @CrisT86 , @Fall Guy , @slider666 and @DaBaeda

Spa-Francorchamps 1938:
-- Removed floating crowd on front stretch hillside.
-- Water shader improvement.
-- Sharpened the background image. If you prefer the original blurry one, there is a skin for it.
-- Completely redone config by @CrisT86 with additions from @slider666 to correct the treewall issues.
-- Recorded new sidelines to try and help reduce the number of AI crashes, especially on the hilltop on the first lap. You can simply copy the ai folder and ai_hints file from the original Spa_Faux_Pre_War track if you don't like the changes.
-- Added a race day layout that adds the sponsors from other versions and the corner men. I realize the sponsors are not 1930's sponsors, but they are better than nothing. You can add the cars as well if you edit the models and models_spa_1938_raceday .ini files. I left the cars hidden because they are 1960's car textures and I thought that would bother people more than the sponsors do.
-- New replay cams from myself, @DaBaeda and @CrisT86 .

Spa-Francorchamps 1966:
-- Added animated flags to the corner men. Totally useless thing to do, but I couldn't help myself.
-- Water shader improvement.
-- Sharpened the background image. If you prefer the original blurry one, there is a skin for it.
-- Completely redone config by @CrisT86 with additions from @slider666 to correct the treewall issues.
-- Accurate billboard sponsor textures by @Fall Guy .
-- New replay cams from @DaBaeda and @CrisT86 .

Spa-Francorchamps 1934 and 1966:
-- Added animated flags to the corner men. Totally useless thing to do, but I couldn't help myself.
-- Water shader improvement.
-- Sharpened the background image. If you prefer the original blurry one, there is a skin for it.
-- Completely redone config by @CrisT86 with additions from @slider666 to correct the treewall issues.
-- Accurate billboard sponsor textures by @Fall Guy .
-- All new AI for the 1934 layout. This version works really well. Malmedy can still be an issue in the first lap or two, but once the field spreads out it works fine. The hints file was created to be used with cars of that era. If you want to race more recent cars, there is an ai_hints_faster file in the data folder. Just rename it to ai_hints to use it. Personally, I would just use the Spa_1938 track if you want to race that era. The Malmedy section is much better on the ai. This version has such a quirky turn at Malmedy that the only way to get them through it on the first few laps was to make the ai act a bit unrealistically.
-- New replay cams from myself, @DaBaeda and @CrisT86 .

The track skins folder has the files needed to make your own skin, the original blurry background textures plus three variations on the grass textures. They get greener and less saturated respectively. Probably some other things changed i'm forgetting, so they must not be important. Hope you like the changes.
Just picked up on something I never noticed before. Some of the road block barriers don't have shadows on the 1938 version. Replace the ext_config file with this one. I'm going to fix the actual track file in a few minutes in case you need to download the track again in the future, but for now this should fix it without having to re-download the track.

On another note, anyone know what font this might be or something similar to it?

EDIT: Original track link now has the fixed track file if you want the corrected version. Or just use the attached ext_config to fix the problem. Either way works.

I get this when I attempt to download Spa 1938. The other two download successfully.

Click the little message bubble by my username in the quoted post part of my update announcement. That will take you back to the original post I made a few weeks back. Download it from there. The quoted post has the old link before I updated the track to fix the missing shadows.

EDIT: Link fixed. Never knew you could edit a quoted post.

Updated just the Spa-Francorchamps 1938 link.

The things you see when you have some good cams to watch a replay with. Did anyone ever notice on the original Spa_Faux track that the haybales at Malmedy were floating and had no shadows? I didn't, but they are fixed now.

-- Corrected a problem with the haybales material that caused shadows not to render.
-- Reoriented haybales to sit flat and in the ground.

Sorry for missing this and making you download again.

Just a quick question, any recommedation for pikes peak, looking for good one and until now i have tested couple of maybe beta versions only.

Would anyone be willing to convert the AMG CLK DTM from TDU? As it happened with the Edonis. I'd really like to see this car in assetto. Perhaps another CLK could be used as a template? Any thoughts?

Congratulations, fantastic job. It will certainly be perfect to use with F1 packs from the 30's (pre F1 still unfinished until 1938), 50's (small adjustments to be made), 60's (68/69 still to be finished). All that was left was to adapt a version for 1970 (but that would be asking too much).

Somewhere here in the forum there's a version, and my update also which brings all the CSP features for it ;)
@CrisT86 is this your update here?

TRACK UPDATE by CrisT86

DR - Pikes Peak

  • New EXT_CONFIG
  • New AI
  • TV Cams by @DaBaeda (Original + edited in FOV by me)
Does that also work for @Lernatixā€™s V2 update?

Iā€™m not at my rig so I canā€™t remember what Iā€™ve got but that version is awesome, so much fun to drive up the mountain through the clouds with 3D clouds!

As fas as i remember the original track was done by GabenHood or something like that if i'm not wrong, and it's called (the folder) dr_pikes which have 2 versions pikes_gravel and pikes_tarmac.

Lernatix i assume is Gaben itself, so yeah it should works fine, but my suggest is always to backup and test it (what a awesome tip uh? ahahahah) ;)
