Yeah, I mentioned this earlier. You even replied..!
;)
Right you are. I read that, made ks ambient changes as you suggested, but my mind led me to believe the body paint was only repeated in the knee guard.
I don't know what "Legion" was thinking here... It looks horrible.

(!) Guys, who understand in modding, have a question to you.

First time i have this problem.

Screen 1
- model in Content manager, all shaders and shadows are good

Screen 2 - shadows gone crazy, glithing shadows, big shadows.
Why, who knows?

I just love this car (IRL).
This one is certainly nice but needs some tweaking, mainly on the lights. Brakelights are way too bright, the normal rears are too dark, no dash lights either (maybe too faint, tried only in daytime yet).
Cockpit will need some shaders (my guess) ?

Car feels like the beast it is.
Thanks for the link

Another thing that needs tweaking is the mirrors. The cockpit mirror is back-to-front and the side mirros are not rendering properly. Bit of a shame, as otherwise it's a cool addition to the garage. Would love to see some new materials in the cockpit to match the real thing too!

The cockpit mirror needs a switch, but both side mirrors are OK in my case.

(image has not been cut, it's where the monitor bezels are)

That dash colour... :banghead:

I only see the left-hand side door mirror with my driving position, but only half of that mirror is rendered properly and it's set at a very odd angle. Strange. I'll reinstall it and see if that helps. Either way, I hope someone with the know-how does a bit of a clean up to bring the car up to the standard it deserves. It's a great trackday companion to things like the BAC Mono, KTM X-Bow, Vuhl, Lotus-7, Caterhams, etc.

EDIT: Ah. Just saw your wide-screen image Fanapryde. Maybe I was just seeing grey body work in the side mirror. I though it was part of the frame that didn't contain any image information. Doh!

Totally agree about the dash being the same colour as the rest of the body. Kind of spoils the look a bit, doesn't it. 🤬

I did some digging on this Legion (the dude behind the Donkervoort D8 GTO) and found his blog with a whole bunch of vintage tracks on it, most of which are new to me so hopefully new to you too. Imola pre-'73 I've already got as Imola '72 (but this new one seems to have better AI), and the historic/vintage Monacos have appeared before, but others I've never seen. There are new layouts to existing tracks too (eg Bilster Berg, Zandvoort). A few of the tracks are really quite good. Historic Laguna Seca is an acid-trip disaster, and don't drive Stardust in bright sun if you value your eyesight, but tracks like Adelaide, Lime Rock Mountain, and Warwick Farm are pretty good.

He's BoP'd a few cars on there too.

Can anyone help me with good AI files for Kunos' Red Bull Ring track for FH2019? Tried every aggression setting, but there is a big pile up after turn 1 right after the start. Rest of the race is fine, but after the first corner it's always messy.

Thanks mate.
Very happy with this.
I used to have Oakes Field a couple of years ago, lost it in a computer crash and by the time I realised it was missing, I had forgotten the name of the track, hence was not able to find it.
Now it's back :dopey:👍
It's not exceptionally good looking, but man it is fun to drive in vintage cars.
Lime Rock Mountain: I wish they had used this layout to construct the actual track.
Star Dust: in the middle of the desert, so yeah, very bright (but can be remedied using SOL config). It looks like that in AMS too.
Zandvoort extra layouts are welcome too.
Still have to try Bilsterberg... are these add-ons to Fat Alfies BB ?
Going to try the others later, first doing a sections file for Oaks Field... :gtpflag:

Anyone would have any tips to improve performance, not crash, not use too much CPU in ... track, the ... track ... I can not play, sometimes it seems that the cars are in slow motion. I have an i7 generation 4, 16gb of RAM, GeForce Nvidia 960 ...
-if your i7 is older than 5/8 years, its probably too slow for more than 10 cars at those tracks, on older machines you should NOT use all oppenents available; thats simply too much, use only 10 or so cars,
-use kunos car, as mod cars tend to be performance hogs, when badly made (most dont have LOD a, b or c)
-'GeForce Nvidia 960' is below the official recommendation, GeForce GTX 970, although its higher than minimum requirement, so no wonder here...

Honestly, it happens regardless of the car. I’ve tried so many. GT3, LMP, IndyCar, F1, BTCC, none can get around that pesky turn 1

Download for the Zaandvoort extra layouts :)

The link is in the blog I posted - why bother posting it separately? There's no registration or anything. Using the blog link will mean the content is always up to date. Legion is updating the Donkervoort today, for example.
I think we should always post the source of the mod if we can, that way updates won't be missed and it's also more respectful to the modder.
Just my personal thoughts, feel free to ignore.

Huge impact to performance sometimes have some added apps - literaly the performance can jump twice if you disable some of them...

@delpinsky...

Just wondering if there's any possibility you could do a review on your updated Toyota FT-01 Gr.3 and make a version with a little less windscreen occlusion when they sun hits it. I love the mod and your updates, but just can't see enough out of the windscreen when driving into the sun.

Thanks :)
An easy thing you can do is:
— open CM
— select a Kunos car in the CM Shoowroom
— select the "windscreen glass" and export that texture or just another glass texture trasparent.
— copy/paste this texture in your skin folder of the Toyota, and rename it accordingly to the name of the windscreen texture.
No you have a new texture for the windscreen+windows which will be loaded instead of the default one.

My knowledg is limited but could it be: ambient_shadows.ini ?
Unless the 3D model has a wrong transparent object casting this ugly shadow in game.
Or simply play with CSP fake shadows fx.

*sorry for the double post!

Thanks delpinsky. I'll follow your instructions. Been wanting to learn how to do this for a while.

I have a non-K i7 3rd gen and just tested le mans FM7 with 20 RSS F2019 cars with most settings on maximum or ultra and using SOL mod + 8xMSAA and SMAA on ultra (these are my standard settings when not using VR), it hovers around 60-80fps on this track starting at the back of the grid and stays around that mark with the odd drop into 50's. Not ideal but I could dial some options down. I have a RTX 2060 so as you have stated it will be more to do with his graphics card rather than the CPU and possibly (as someone else said) some FPS killer apps? I had to remove some F1 style HUD apps as they halved my FPS!

@MrLonguinha17 I suggest you make sure you have the CPU overclocked as much as you are able, this will always help and even non K series i7's can be overclocked to an extent. Check what apps you are using and disable them all, check FPS again and start enabling one at a time and rechecking. If you haven't installed MSI Afterburner, get that and experiment with overclocking the GTX960 but this will be the real killer here sadly and you may not get far. Also I suggest ignoring suggested graphics setting and finding your own sweet spot. The Le Mans FM7 track with a lot of cars is ideal to find out what settings are a good choice for you. Turn all of your graphics settings off or to minimum and see what FPS you are hitting, then gradually enable one by one. It's a long process but it will be worth it. Lastly and the obvious one, make sure you have nothing running on your PC in the background taking up valuable resources while playing AC. But seriously consider investing in a new graphics card, it will help you a great deal!

3d model seems to be same settings as always. However ill cjeck it again and try to play with window shaders in ks editor, thank you !
