Anyone interested in seeing this bad boy in game? From NFS 3: Hot Pursuit

Don't suppose anyone knows if there is a way to find out what the version of a car mod is, I have the same car downloaded twice and wondered if there is anyway to know which is the newer version, I know sometimes in cm it tells you just wondered if there was any other way

Thanks

Hi how do you find that lidar data? I did try google already.
For the US, I use these sites:

Lime Rock Mountain Update

This is just a small update to Lime Rock Mountain. It doesn't make any significant changes, but has one change that may benefit some people. Please delete your previous Lime Rock Mountain folder before extracting. Might be better to keep a backup copy of the previous version until you test this out.

-- Small texture tweaks to a few tree textures.
-- Reworked the .kn5 file to remove some things that I previously hid via the ext_config. The benefit of this is the track should now look\work properly for those that don't use CSP with a few missing features that can't be done without CSP. For those that use CSP, the track should be unchanged.
-- First draft of my attempt to fix some of the terrain issues, mainly the hillside on the top of the hill, but you may notice some other spots look better as well. Basically it's a little terrain merging and smoothing to create a more natural look.

Lime Rock Mountain v2_1

EDIT: Just discovered that this new version has poor performance if I turn off grassfx or run without CSP, which is weird. Going to have to figure out why. If you run into performance issues, you can download the previous version below that has the same small updates minus the new terrain.

Lime Rock Mountain v1.05
Updated link to version 2_1.

Credit for the update goes to @cammel . He discovered and fixed holes in the terrain from when I tried to smooth it out as well as recorded new ai lines. The original ai lines are included if you prefer them. There is probably some other little tweaks in there that I did along the way because I always tinker with my tracks over time.

Hey guys,
i´ve been experimenting a bit with trees fx recently (am I the only one?).
I spent days, if not weeks, digging up 3d tree models, trying to reduce the poly counts to an acceptable level, converting them via CM and finally testing them on my NYST track before finally deciding to go with Y-trees because a) they perform much better (in VR on a Ryzen 5800X/RTX3080 system) and b) it's easier to find textures for the required tree types. I have seen way too many trees in the past few weeks.

in root folder there is a file named "new_lime_rock_mountain.vao-patch", is it a left over or an option to try?

Yeah, they can be quite heavy on performance I guess.
Still fiddling around with LODs.
I manage to get around 160fps in single screen mode, 70ish in triple mode with the new extra fx on (which is ridiculously heavy in it´s current state on triples).
I think compared to 2D trees I´m loosing around 20fps or so, which is not ideal yet.
I can only guess, when it comes to VR performance....

hello, a question to experts, the camera in the cabin freezes, it does not show the movement of the track, it does show the movements of the steering wheel and dashboard, but it does not show outwards. The other cameras work fine and it is the only car in which this happens.
Any ideas?
CSP 1.79 Sol2.2
I would appreciate if you could give me some clue...

Maybe this:

Open car in cm showroom. Click on inside of windscreen. Look at menu, transparant should be yes. Change for front windscreen and both side windows. Saved Automatically.

which car is it? I assume it's the bmw lmdh. If this is it, there is a problem with the inner windshield mesh (transparency not set).

[MESH_ADJUSTMENT_...]
MESHES = GEO_INT_GLASS
IS_ACTIVE = 1
IS_TRANSPARENT = 1

Add this to the ext_config.ini file, at the bottom :cheers:

A left over file I think, but you can try it if you want to. I think it makes the shadow depth darker under the trees if I remember right. It was created awhile ago so I can't remember why. One of those tinkering things I mentioned above.

Just an update on my rework of Longford. Shouldn't be long now. I've got everything pretty much where I want it. Just waiting on @CrisT86 to organize the config the way he wants it and do a few test races with different car types since I tried recording new ai lines. Track skin wise, it will offer different looks to fit your preferences and they can be mixed and matched.

You've got the dry skin with the look the original track had:

The default look if you don't use any track skins:

And a lush skin with greener grass and trees:

I don't know who asked, the links were inactive, I reuploaded again.
