Hi! I've made some minor visual updates to whistleblower39's 720S GT3

  1. I have repositioned the wheels forward and they sit within the wheel wells as they should. Changes were made to the data.acd file so please back up your file.
  2. The right front and rear brake disc callipers and pads are now visible, as well as updated brake disc normals. The only issue I know is that they don't glow if you're on CSP 0.1.80 p115.
  3. I updated the wiper animation, kind of, the wiper blades now exclusively sweep water instead of nearly the whole arm. I tried to recreate the dual hinge wiper animation like on the Kunos cars, but it was too much of a headache.
  4. I have added a couple of PBR inside and around the car.
  5. The rear wing angle has been readjusted and should look flat at the lowest setting and without too much rake at the highest.
  6. Updated driver steering and shifting animation

The rearview screen was added as suggested by Wlynsan and have implemented El Locho's mod into this. I can't seem to replicate the side window issue with motion blur on and there's nothing much I can do about it. I've also made some changes to the meshes PBR as well. Also, the exhaust glow is much more subtle and temperature dependent, wanted to replicate the catalytic converter/particulate filter glow thingy at the inner part, but that's another headache. This should be as definitive as it gets, I have no idea what to work on next and that's all the spare time I have with this.

Hi @Pyyer ,in doubt I reinstalled AC and it seems that the problem is solved.
Probably (but not sure) the problem was the AssettoCorsaGUI_1.5 addon which changes (replaces) menu and more in the game.
Probably it makes conflict with CM menu improvements.

Anyone know in the data.acd file what I can change to slow down the ai in the recently released 2018 Ferrari 488 GTE EVO mod? I have them in a field with other GTE cars from URD and other places and it's 5-6 seconds faster than all the other cars. I used to have a nice BOP'd field with the old Ferrari GTE mod I was using, but i'd rather use the new one if I could just slow it down.

We have Thompson Speedway in AC for a long time. Unfortunately it only was a drift track layout with lots of barriers, making racing close to impossible. Here is the old version: https://www.vosan.co/tracks/thompson-speedway-2020-lock-city-drift-v-9/

Now Patrick Jamin has published the track without the barriers with a new folder name: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/track-thompson-speedway-motorsports-park.58398/

But there are no AI-infos, so I made them (fastlane, pitlane, sidelines) and gave the track also a basic ext-config for Grass and Rain FX. The Grass FX do need some love - maybe some expert want to take a look.

I did choose this track layout (from here https://www.thompsonspeedway.com/about-thompson/):

Just unzip the file and drop it into the folder "Thompson". It will not replace anything. Have fun.

Lowering the near clip plane allows me to have full close up view in VR. Otherwise, everything up close i.e. seat is transparent for my setup

Google is your friend

check the track folder and try to find a models.ini file if this track has one layout delete it but make a copy first just in case in a different location then try launching the race.

Hate to be that guy, but next to file names being too long (which is not the case here), there's also the use of capital letters that prevents CM from recording top speed and driven distance.
Ergo the original name Yzd_Aston_Martin_V8_Vantage_GTE should be yzd_aston_martin_v8_vantage_gte to 'correct' this.
Easy fix for everyone... :)
 
Here we go with non-usuall car for us. Electric powered Nissan Leaf RC 2013. RC goes for Race Car.

Despite of power train left same as in production car, all suspension was heavily reworked, weighed reduced for 1/2 tonn. So it became a very very nice fast go-cart like ride.

I remember some years ago we had a fun race on stock Leafs on Stowe circuit in real, and it felt quite strange....i never was into electric drives. But it was a bit of fun in it, this high torque on low revs...and recently i found the 3d model on RD, so why not? with weight only about 980kg with driver and sticky tyres it's quite a ride for sure!

The car is easy to drive, very pleasent physics, tested and close to real. 3D model by "mexes1978" is just perfect!

Two disadvantages of the car in IRL and in AC - battery life goes only for around 20km-25km depending on driving style and circuit of corse. And low maximum speed.

about the mod: full AO mapping, real specs, lcd has battery charge indicator, car setting tab has +-5% power output etc...

Speaking of catalytics and mufflers... Some conscientious environmentalist has decided to include some new filters in my 2018 Bentley Continental GT3 (the GTP Modding and Thegost 2.0 version), marked with a green arrow (on the other side of the car there's another one)...

Thank you so much for this, was a blast to race in. Just curious, is there a way to get wet tyres for the Alpine? It's the only car that somehow doesn't have wet tyres...

A huge uptade is coming soon for all gt4''s with all corrected data , physiks , bop , esthetics , sound etc !

6.50 € is a bit too much for just Visual updates..
your 1982 rework just uses the Lotus98t physics from kunos.
i really would like to support you , but with this prizing.. its better to get them for free somewhere..

just some old endurance cars that will hopefully get released one day.
modern cars can be boring, especially if you race in VR as the cockpits are all the same.

just wanted to add I totally understand you wanting to encrypt but any possible chance you can not encrypt so that the car doesnt show in the showroom. its just many of us like to generate new previews and also generate lods to help with performance etc. (VR guys)
