As a Dodge lover, this is a wildest thing I have ever seen in my sim racing career. Fictional or not this one is a keeper. I may end up putting some time optimizing the horrible texture compression. (I'll share it when I done) Anyway thanks!
I would say it is a car from "The Crew" a Circuit Spec

Pure Arcade, but i loved this open world game, it was pure fun and you could drive all roads in USA

Well, first steering wheel out of many! I'll be uploading them in the next hours/days, with the respective bug fixes etc...

It wasn't a good idea start with the one that is very likely to the original, but here it goes. RB19 Steering wheel

I'll follow this order -> A523, AMR23, W14, SF23.

Installation as always. The RB18.kn5 and the ext_config.ini should be inside extension folder of the RSS FH23 car. I would apreciate feedback.
Are you gonna do AT04 FW45 Alfa MCL60 Haas? Appreciate the work btw

Yeah, big thanks to Masscot, to you, and to everyone who makes and shares those seemingly small fixes that actually have a big impact in graphically improving the appearance of a track, adding realism and immersion.

By the way, speaking about...

Talking of which, can anyone one point me towards how i find that pit guy, i want to try to stick a helmet on him like PCars ones.

Have you tried ...content/objects3D?
Lots of pit crew kn5s and ksanims in there.
I'd gladly replace my defaults with helmeted pit crew if you have any success. Bare-headed anybody in AC looks downright spooky.

Thanks for this. The 3D trees look really nice. Hopefully Ilja will resolve the dithering that appears at certain distances.
There's an alpha issue with the grandstand crowds. Might be better replacing these with crowd facing spectators? The planar ones are quite noticeable elsewhere too, so it'd also solve this.

Shame the flags can't be CSP versions and react to wind - those old type ones can really date tracks these days.
Great job - please keep these updates coming. :)

The Haberthur team decided for some reason to change the engine from the 3.8l RSR power unit to a 3.6l turbo for the 1994 Le Mans race. In the statistics on racingsportscars.com the name of the car has been changed to "964 Bi-Turbo" and the competing class is GT2. This information is false. The engine used was a M64/50 B6 from a 964 Turbo. The 964 Bi-Turbo would have competed in the GT1 class. The car did not finish the race and the engine swap was reversed after the race.

Haberthur did not compete in the Vallelunga 4h race. But the team came back for the Spa 4H race. The result was poor considering what the car was capable of achieving before. #53 finished in 10th place.

I sadly do not have any photos or video footage of the car racing in the Suzuka 1000 km race. So as I prefer not do do a fantasy skin, I had to skip this one. Which brings us to the last ever run of this car for Haberthur Scuderia Chicco d'Oro. The car had the message "For Sale" written all over the car and indeed it was sold at this event. A shake hands in between Haberthur and the Bernt Racing team handed the car over to its new owner. It would join the BPR in 1995 again.

to be continued ......
and finally we come to an end for chassis 6071. When the car was in the hands of Bernt Racing, a German team from the town of Herbrechtingen, it appeared for 3 BPR races in 1995. It was planned to compete in Monza, Paris, Anderstorp and Zhuhai, but the car did not show up for the Monza race. The only ever race finish was achieved in the Paris 1000 km race. With a very good 8 place considering, that the next generation in form of the 993 GT2 had already stepped on the stage.

There are not much photos of the car available when it was run under the Bernt Racing banner. I contacted the team and asked them for photos, maybe I will be lucky and they find a few to share with me. For the moment I only have photos from the Paris 1000 km race and bad video frame shots from Zhuhai.
It is not known if the car still exists and if yes, who is todays owner.

The car had a wing extension which was commonly used in 1995 on most of the 964 RSR cars. It also had the characteristic 5-spoke Gotti wheels. Both of these items are in the works for the car mod by Zoffty.

You can see on the photo, that the car had a crash during the race and that the front bumper and parts of the bonnet have been fixed with some blue tape. Let me know if you would like to see a skin which reflects that.....

Or put the 2D crowed away from the tarmac.

I love your attention to detail but you dominate every page on the thread. Can you not collate your skins and put them on less posts?

I am sorry if you feel like that. I usually go by three skins. In the case of chassis 6071 there was only one skin missing. I could stop posting the progress here and only post it on my BPR Recreation Project discord.... I do not know if other people here in the forum feel the same.

My 917k 1971 JSON files fix pack, together with fixes for flaps, wings, fins, mirrors and air intakes for txt files.

Anyway, as always the reminder: YOU NEED TO HAVE THE CAR INSTALLED FIRST (917k ´71 by Legion), as I only share the skin folder with the correct names & etc.

All my corrections will now be together in one folder on mediafire, just search and download what you want there (any future fixes and additions will be there aswell):
CREDITS:
Legion for the Porsche 917 ´71
Jacky X for the Martini Skin Pack for the Porsche 917
GPLGEM & bdd for some other Skins (Gulf and Usdau)

(My thxs for all these guys! All the credit goes to them,; if I miss someone, just dm me!!!)

Obs: 3 skins are with an asterisk - I couldn't find them at all, so I put replacements in their place, just to complete the grid; I hope that one day someone decides to do any of them, so I'll update my pack.

1971 Le Mans #19 J.W. Gulf
1971 Le Mans #57 Zitro
1971 Correct numbers for all Usdau cars that raced with fins (#6, #25, #55)

Nice work, I even get a better performance compared to the original.
TreeFX is not top yet, but looks better than the originals.
When using the chicane layout I get a cut track/invalid lap warning as soon as I enter the chicane.

Oh, and those spectators....:crazy::lol:

Yeah I only briefly play The Crew for a few hours. I haven't got far in enough to recognize this car in game, but as I was digging around texture files I notice a Ivory Tower license plate texture, which I thought was randomly placed there. :D

Minor touchups for Dodge Challenger SRT8 Touringcar by f302

I'm by no means a skill modder, I just dabble enough to know how to optimize and improve car mods for offline racing, but I'm sure those who enjoyed large grid AI racing like I do will appreciate these changes. Any painters interested in making fake race inspired liveries for this car? Surely a Gulf livery will do! :D

I have a large list optimized GT3 cars (Currently working on Bonny's GT3s and GTP's Radical RXC Turbo GT3) I'll share them soon.

NOTE: I have attempted to fix the dirt tyre texture with the KsEditor, but after saving it will messes up other textures for unknown reasons, like the right mirror textures would randomly be replaced. Anyone else with better experience with KsEditor can give a shot... also ignore the COCKPIT_HR warning (No idea how to fix that) or the "Group 3" tags (forgot to change before uploading).

-Changes-
Reduce the texture size from 132mb to 33mb while maintaining visual. (or at least from my 1080p monitor)
Added updated LODs
Added more skins colours with wacky Dodge's naming
ALSO I have changed the engine sound to something more appropriate (for some reason it had a Ferrari engine sound???:confused:)

from those, only MCL60, which will be later today

Hi Thanks for your work. I understand (sorry I am a newbie) that we can use only one steering Wheel for all the cars (skins) because of one Extension folder. Correct?
yes, copy the ext_config.ini and the .kn5 file to the skin folder if you want the steering wheel for a specific livery

Thanks for this. 👍

You can replace the crowd? codeblock with this one, to get rid of that strange looking spectators.

INI:
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE=1
DESCRIPTION= CROWD
MESHES =
MATERIALS = CROWDBIL?
PROP_... = ksAmbient, 0.3
PROP_... = ksDiffuse, 0.27
BLEND_MODE= ALPHA_TEST

[MESH_ADJUSTMENT_...]
IS_ACTIVE = 1
MESHES = material:CROWDBIL?
IS_RENDERABLE= 1 ; use 0 for hiding spectators

Or, to get rid of them all, change last line to IS_RENDERABLE= 0

But I´ve a different prob, I´ve massive shadows flickering on walls etc. Am I the only one?
Look at the wall, instead of being overall shadowed, there are lights too, and they flicker and move weirdly:

I made and uploaded a short clip to show the effect I mean in movenment:

If someone want some info for the car, here's a generated one by ChatGPT:

The 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 LM is a high-performance muscle car that has been specially tuned for track use. Its aggressive styling and powerful engine make it a formidable competitor in any race.

The car is coated in a sleek black paint with bold racing stripes that run down the center of the vehicle, giving it a menacing appearance. The exterior is fitted with a number of aerodynamic enhancements, including a front splitter and a large rear wing, that improve downforce and stability at high speeds.

Under the hood, the Challenger SRT-8 LM is powered by a massive 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces a mind-boggling 500 horsepower and 674 Nm of torque. This power is channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission that provides precise and lightning-fast shifts.

The suspension of the Challenger SRT-8 LM has been specially tuned for the racetrack, with adjustable shocks and struts that can be fine-tuned to suit any type of terrain. The brakes are upgraded, with massive ventilated discs and high-performance calipers that provide exceptional stopping power.

Inside the car, the cockpit is stripped down and race-ready, with a roll cage, racing seats, and a digital dashboard that displays all the vital information the driver needs to stay on top of their game. The steering wheel is a multi-function unit that allows the driver to control the car's various systems, including the traction control and differential settings.

Overall, the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 LM is a formidable machine that combines cutting-edge technology with raw, unbridled power. It is sure to leave its competitors in the dust on the racetrack.
