I have adjusted the colors of the car to the original, the result now looks truer and more saturated, just copy it into the skin folder, because of the mapping it seems impossible to paint the car, but the Jaguar logo and the purple should look nice, right?

Just copy it to the skin folder....profit

Hi everyone, I found this 3d model for Ferrari 550 Maranello, in free version this has not textures, in the paid version the textures is included, maybe someone modder can bring it to AC for a public and free release?

I'm reworking it right now to make it... less of... whatever it is right now.

Will be overhauled in a couple of (sweaty) hours.

I tried the new version and I must admit that these trees are much better. There's still the pretty heavy impact on FPS though:
Alone on track:
original: 114 fps AVG - 98 fps MIN
with treeFX: 89 fps AVG - 51.4 fps MIN
So for people with less performant PC's it would be near to impossible to race in a decent grid.
There must be some way to reduce the impact, since a couple of tracks don't seem to suffer from the addition of treeFX.

Feedback on performance is super important. From as many different systems as possible.
My releases alwasy start as a kind of a w.i.p. (see the version number), as I can only judge it from my side.

Im running a pretty beefy pc.
Using VR I get stable 90fps with nearly everything maxed out.

There will be progress for sure, also for less powerfull systems.

Every new Tree model I generate, needs to be balanced between looks and performance.
Sometimes its more difficult, sometimes its pretty straight forward.

As I said, Feedback ,not hate or other kinds of bs (not directed to you), is very welcome
 
There are good and bad ones. Its like with the tracks configs or tracks themselfs. Those trees can look realy good. My favourite set is the one for Monza:
But there are people who throwing out many configs, which are not well made and not well optimized.
While I agree that the trees for Monza look good (as long as there's no or little wind, because in the wind they start 'being alive' and parts of them vanish to just reappear), there's still the (huge) impact on fps.
Alone on track I get:
129 fps AVG / 116 fps MIN without treeFX
89 fps AVG / 71 fps MIN with treeFX
which I find quite substantial.
There is a solution, because I have one(or two ?) treeFX add-ons where the impact is very little. Can't remember ATM which track it is though.

@Johannes S I should have mentioned that I'm on a triple screen setup with a 1080ti, which after a recent upgrade gives me the possibility to race full grids on most tracks and still have good performance.

thankyou for this. the only thing i found "wrong" was a weird double shadow effect. i am running csp 1.79 though so that may be it. the issue is not all the time on track only at certain points

The three capital letters in the file name ...._IS_F... prevent CM reading driven distance and max speed.
Like this it's OK: f302_lexus_is_f_racing_concept

So far, I haven't seen the double shadows that @maximeerkat mentioned (but I am on CSP 0.1.80 preview)

No cockpit_hr and ofcourse road reflecting on windscreen banner too because of this (as recently discussed) but great job so far, thanks for the release!

Case in point: Check out nanyta's 3D trees for Barcelona City Circuit, posted at RD today. They look fantastic and, at least for me (on a decent but not top-end system), don't have any impact on performance. I can't imagine anyone saying these don't look far superior to the original trees here. When done well, 3D trees can really improve realism, IMO.
 
To fix this problem you should change driver model via ext_config (I don't know if it's the best fix, but at least it works)
Hi guys. anyone know how to resolve this issue with the RSS GT-m cars please? csp 1.80 and pure 1.90. cheers....
For some reason this visual bug only occurs with some RSS cars, to fix it go to:

Setting/ Custom Shader Patch/Graphics Adjustment and untick "new shader for human skin".
 
Luckily Fiat/Abarth is less and less italian as time passes by...
But we lose part of the "charm" of the Italian car... Jeremy Clarkson will not be able to continue saying that you don't really know what it's to have a car until you own an Alfa Romeo... :D

In the end, all the cars will be perfect, boring and (gasp!) electric clone machines... 😕

...and I will probably do the tobacco liveries when my "holidays" end. I love tobacco. Maybe I'll do a fictional multi-tobacco-livery with all tobacco brands ever made. 😍

Everyone should know by now that we don't capitalize file names on cars and tracks, but apparently it doesn't sink in :)
Here are two simple commads to raname al kn5 files to lower case.

  • type "Powershell" on Windows search bar
  • right click on it and press "Run as Administrator"

TRACKS DIRECTORY
- copy and paste the command:

Get-ChildItem -Path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\" -Recurse -Include *.kn5 -File | Rename-Item -NewName { $_.Name.ToLower() }

- press Enter

CARS DIRECTORY
- copy and paste the second command for Cars dir:

Get-ChildItem -Path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\" -Recurse -Include *.kn5 -File | Rename-Item -NewName { $_.Name.ToLower() }

- press Enter

NOTE: make sure the -Path dir is correct for your system

Hello everyone. Lately I'm having a sound and image synchronization problem in the Assetto Corsa replays and I don't know how or why it happens, I don't think I've touched anything. Can someone help me solve this? I would really appreciate it.
