Did you repack the data afterwards, or 'use unpacked data if it exists'?
yes I was using 'use unpacked data if it exists' , somehow it didn't work... when repacking data it shows anim (but way off the stick - like 15cm off... but when watching the road it's not visible, so it's usable as such, thanks again!)

MODERN DAY RACING SERIES BETA TEST INVITE

To get sure that it's working I want to invite you for beta testing to my new upcoming championship series.
What you will do: (eventually) buy, download and racing some stuff + tell my what went wrong or can be optimized

Questions:
  • do the downloads work, missing ones, does the buying process work?
  • can you start the championship, or are you getting errors for missing skins, cars, wrong tracks or else?
  • issues with tracks or cars graphically or technically?
  • AI strength OK?
  • race length OK?
  • is there a wrong race setting? (a originally night race is at day or something)
  • does it work to modify the championship for skin, car, strength, opponents, calendar?
  • better mods available then used? (searching for a working 499P)
  • the southern championships (Turismo Carretera, Supercars, 12h Bathurst) are always running in northern summer setting (their winter) -> are there too bright shaders, does the sun disturb you?
  • any typos?
  • can you understand the hint for RD users? "RD version and full version because of restrictions at RD, hint: read the Read Me to the end" keep in mind you have to think like a RD user, low....... :-)

And the most important question: Does it make fun?

Volunteers please send me a PM to join the beta testing.

anyone else experiencing strange streaks or stripes flickering all across the screen (like textures being dragged and streched out), esp when going off the track? (So when I hit grass or dirt I always see them , not so much when sticking to the asphalt).

I think it's since the new CSP but can't be sure ...

Would this be another feature Peter built in to encourage us to not go off track ? ;)

EDIT: when turning off "New smoke and dust" it's gone, so it has something to do with that...

TRR Discord has a working (for me, latest csp and all) 499P
Ferrari 499P

Yes I have this one in but the interior sounds are low. At race start you wont hear your own car. Already contacted a car modder but unfortunately he also could not fix it.

I did warn everybody that it's not a great fit, it was the best I could come up with in the time available. If anyone finds a better one, please share it.

In the new CSP preview version, the weather controller was moved!
To select the Sol 2.4 controller, to use Sol Planner app, goto Drive menu!

I am using 1.79, but I do not have the weather controllers menu in my weather choice. What am I missing?

I've been using this sound mod:
Guy was developing and responding to input, hand-over-fist.
YMMV.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Thanks so much for this

Thanks for helping Andre but we already tried to switch the sounds without success. Seems that is one of the errors that needs a impossible solution to solve.

One story: I had a flickering material at Schottenring and I tried everything and I could not get ride of the error. I decided to remove the material with a render=0 setting. After that the material was still there but the flickering was gone! Checked for a second instance in other files and stuff – nothing. Impossible solution.

At last trying to get some W.I.P.'s off my chest :)

First one is Puebla 2005. It was part of Simbin's RACE game, which reflected the 2006 WTCC championship, but the layout used in game was in fact the older 2005 layout. In 2006 the track was changed.

This v2.2 really needs faster AI - if we all beg Rainmaker, he might make some time :)
There is no rain, no groove and no VAO file. Feel free to contribute.
UPDATE: Rainmaker already provided new AI, VAO and Rain. Will be implemented soon.

Thank you! Didn't expect that is the logo on the roof of the car well it's blurry.

Great to see you also work on this car. The rim looks different. But the tire looks good. I wonder where you get that 😅 because my tire looks bad to me whenever I look on different angle.
the tire and rims from the Saleen S7R (Forza Motorsport model)

On older CSP versions it's under WeatherFX.
According to Peter, in this post, it is supposed to there in 1.79.

From Peter Boese

How do i update to the new CSP properly?
If you like to try the new CSP update, please do this:

First install the new Content Manager!!!
This is very important!

is it possible to add DTM 2021?

Had a quick look at the driver model and shifting animation. Quite a tricky one, but this should be an improvement. Looks OK in VR.
The driver adopts a more aggressive head tilt out on the track compared to CM showroom. No idea why.
Note, you have a high ksDiffuse setting of 1.0 for some cockpit materials (eg the leather), which makes it a bit nuclear in sunlight. Dropping this to 0.2 or 0.3 helps. I found the cockpit reds quite bright overall, so desaturated and darkened them a little for personal use. I know the real car has very vivid red leather and carpets, but these always look artificial to me in VR.
Drop the steer.ksanim and shift.ksanim into the 'animations' folder and the driver_base_pos.knh into the main car folder.

Thank you for the ksanims and ksDiffuse suggestions, the red leather look nicer now.
I wonder if there is a quick fix for this? In my system, the driver always looking down
"data" is packed, steer.ksanim and shift.ksanim dropped into the 'animations' folder and the driver_base_pos.knh into the main car folder:

Still working on those P3 Michelin Cup skins. Here's the DKR Engineering Duqueine, it's a little rough but will do as a grid filler. I didn't have all the correct sponsor decals so I winged it, there so many variations of this car between all the different series, so this is a combination of liveries. Once again it's for the acfsk_duqueine_d08_lmp3_2020 mod for those who may be interested.

I mentioned that in my post. No idea why it happens out on the track, unless it's a CSP function linked to head movement.
I've got NeckFX disabled so I don't think it's that.
Posture is normal in CM Showroom, but (like a lot of idiots with death wishes these days) he starts playing with his phone when out on the road.
