yeah, it´s quite difficult to find settings which fit to every car. Currently I am using the following previews.

Mine are pretty much the same for all cars beside the one without AO

Today I have the evening free from studying and I was able to do some tests. Some leave me speechless, others are still too bright.

EDIT: I really can't read LOL I misread your message, I thought removing the ao would solve the problem. My brain runs on two cylinders 😵

But now I have another problem: some non-encrypted cars do not generate a preview. The cm tells me that it was not possible to load the kn5 file because it was corrupt or something similar, but everything works normally. Will I be able to do something without too many problems in AC? Or maybe it's a sign that I need to go back and play gtr2? 😂

I've been trying around for 2 days with CSP Preview, I almost wanted to give up, then I discovered all the settings I had forgotten, tone mapping etc. in settings.

The result is very good for me and only the Kunos preview angle comes into question. Just a little steering wheel angle and without this blue film and kind of fog was my first version and my second and newest is because of csp previews.
The little car collector perfectionist must have a great preview of each of his treasures, otherwise he will get round toenails.

1st picture is Kunos standard

2nd is my Kunos preview from 2022-23

3rd is my newest with CSP Preview

But one thing worries me: if a skin contains an extra kn5 that is inserted via csp, then no preview works for me! Can anyone confirm that?

Edit:

After further hours of testing, I have to say that CSP previews are a nice start but not really convincing, there is far too little information and settings, I only use it once to create a preview of a few Encr. Otherwise, leave the car with it. I use csp prev. no longer it is to ugly

Where tone mapping is located? I think I missed this setting

All 4 skins (doh) are now updated. The molexs (all!) were previously gnarled, and the driver name spacing on the #14daytona was irritating me. (UPDATED again @ 12:28pdt) I'm done :)

Thanks for the 'real' skins. Do you plan to do the same to the other skins by any chance? Kind of surprised that I haven't seen any skins for this car popup anywhere except for these ones. Most of the time RSS releases a car, skins come pretty quickly.

Hey all, I've been looking around and I'm wondering if anyone still has Legion's Lola T70 Mk3b, been wanting to give it a go but it doesn't seem to be on his site now.

EDIT: Never mind.

you actually did it right

STEER_ASSIST=
this is for increasing FFB due to downforce, and rarely should be under 1.0
For the highest downforce cars one might set that at 0.90 and even that is quite extreme (and 0.50 is simply rediculous)
Is this for the In-Game menu or for the car's "car.ini"? Thanks.

The extra kn5, exxt_config doesn't work in cm preview, which is sad. Seemingly noone bother that so...
It's just a ****** thing because with many cars that contain 5-6 aero styles you have to make a kn5 for each.

and another person pointed out that brake torque was already increased by 400 Nm compared to a lesser model, so, again, this could just be a quirk of this real life car.
That wasnt "another" person. 😁🤫
The only other comment is some surprise about how stable the car is; I'd expect it to be more squirrelly in the rear.
Imho it completely depends how you drive the car, e.g. high refs within a corner or accelerating out of a corner makes it tailhappy.

For example, I'm used to test my own cars at Mugello for different reasons. First time I did a test run with this one I drove all the way from turn 6 to turn 10 in third gear, fighting the car in every corner. After switching to fourth gear there was still a lill bit of fighting, but it felt way more comfortable ... and was half a second faster in the end.

I always set the FFMULT to 1.0 and then STEER_ASSIST as RMi_wood suggested anywhere between 0.5 and 0.9, with high downforce cars at 0.55 or above. In addition I always have STEER_ASSIST adjustable to car setup.
It will depend on your wheel setup but should be right with anything equal to or better than a Thrustmaster TS-PC.
Also depends if you run with damages on and how much you want to feel through the wheel such as flat spotted tyres etc.

There is a Pedralbes for AC...
If is the same version I have (that I keep for sentimental reasons), I'm sorry to say that needs a lot of TLC to achieve somewhat of today standards...
Deleted, because I don't want to flame any wise/funny guy.
There have been cases of wisefunny guys who have spontaneously self-combusted, without need of external heat inputs...

It would be useful to know for which car version the skins are made for. You do realize that there are several versions around with skins that are not interchangeable ?

EDIT: I noticed that you provided a install tree where the file name of the car is included, so all good.

Oh, that's a shame. v1.0 was only released last year (apparently) so I assumed it would be up to snuff. There's an extension folder and a VAO patch and everything...

THX for the skins. Seems that the car has not much support from skin makers. The Lexus logos for the skins of #14 are much better then the ones for #12. Can you adjust that please? :)
Copy the HR_Badge and HR_Badge_NM files from the #14 skin folder to the #12 skins folders.

Got another ai question and don't laugh if it's stupid. If I add ballast to an ai car in the CM detailed grid settings, will it make that ai car sit lower because of the added weight? Or is it just an arbitrary number that doesn't actually impact the car's physical state other than to slow it down.

I'm good for one set of skins for each new car... If one of the RSS skins is close to the real livery that's my usual starting point. The Vasser-Sullivan was a no brainer... I've not seen the RCF in any other series that I follow, but I see we have some SuperGT skins now.

What RacingJoe said... I will copy that file across now for subsequent dls.
