Guys, are there other unfortunate souls who have resigned to playing AC on a controller / pad? I have a T300 RS GT but no room to mount it right now and have been stuck on pad for over a year.

I was wondering, can you recommend some genuinely good Gamepad FX scripts you know of? All the different ones I tried either make the steering horribly muddy and vague and unresponsive, or make the car drive itself to the point where you need to go full lock to full lock at full throttle to MAYBE make it spin. I can't find a script that is tasteful and gently smooths things out without making every car steer itself, catch all slides on its own and even compensate for understeer sometimes :D
hi,
not what you were asking for, but as a T300 owner myself and knowing how much I love it and how it contributes to the overall joy and immersion, I would suggest you to something like this at least:

I started out with this one, also because I had no room for a full stand/cockpit...
It can be put anywhere , and folds so it can be put under a bed for example when not in use.
It is such a pity to know you have a T300RS and not using it!
That said , I hope you find joy either way (be it with wheel or game pad), but my advice: it's a well spent 129 euro! ;)
Cheers.

edit : since the official site does not even show the folding capability in the pics, here you can see it very well in a nice YT review.

edit2: I must say I have since modified some things to my setup, as the wheel was wobbling too much for my taste. It is now intergrated with another fabrication and very sturdy, but that does make it I can't put it away anymore (but I have the space now , a dedicated room for my rig). Another option (bit more expensive but sturdier and more enjoyable out of the box) is their 2.0 version which you can see here

Does anyone have the realistic physics data made by Legion for the McMurtry Speirling converted by ExMods/RTM before he deleted 'em for some reason?

It's a car I was eager to see in AC eventually since I adored it the first time I saw it in Goodwood years ago.

Hi, the f1 2010 mods are beautiful, congratulations; I note, however, that the textures of the tires are not the same for all cars; Mclaren Ferrari and Redbull have sharper and more detailed textures. The others, especially in the absence of light, are of lower quality. How do you charge rain tires? A thousand thanks
Hey, There's 2 things.

The whole 2010 squad have the original F1 2010 codemaster tyres, since the model comes from F1 2010

I have included as a bonus the classic cars from F1 2020, which is the ferrari mclaren and redbull. So obviously I won't put the F1 2010 tyres on a 2020 model. So I used the tyre model and texture made by a friend which is what I have used for the F10 car in the FVA conversion that will come soon. And since I already have the 3 main car of 2010, I also reworked the 2010 renault with better textures, better cockpit details and the new tyre. As well as FIA sticker on the wheel and Kubica Led shifting animation as a tribute.

As for rain tyres, I haven't figured out how to tell CSP which texture to use for rain, So I just dropped the texture in the zip. You need to put them inside the skin folder of a driver of the car you want rain tyre on. The game will swap slick texture with wet automatically. But if you want slick back then either remove the textures from the skin folder or change tyre compound once in pit stop to pick slick texture again.

The big issue here is that I don't have enough space to mount it even on the regular desk I use. I'm on PC only and even with the pedals in the foot space of the desk, there's not enough room if I move the chair back further. It's just a cramped smallish living room, so that's not an option for me at this point. Thanks for the suggestion anyway! 👍

Unfortunately no, but I finally found some settings that work. Some of the beauty of some metallic colors (red or green for example) is lost, but now all the previews are fine.

White color is fine now (obviously they are still a little bright, but much better than before):

No no info which filter is used but I would assume the default filter is being used since everybody has got it as the name says by default.
no, unfortunately it is not that easy... :)

I tested it by copying over the sepia pp filter ini-file content into default.ini replacing the original content completely ...
but the previews are not in sepia, so I gather it's not "default" pp that is being used.
And it's also not the one selected in settings - assetto corsa - video (for the love of god I don't know why not! )

Maybe I will do this replacement test for ALL pp filters installed (one by one), although that would take alot of time (but I guess I will since we would all benefit from finding out)...

Still I'm hoping Ilya or Peter or another demigod reads this and knows the answer from the top of his/her head.

I found with some of the poor mods/skins that get completely blown out by the white light (no matter how much you reduce the brightness) the trick is to change the colour of the light to match the main skin colour
never had to revert to that kind of trickery...
I usually get it somewhat "right" w CTRL-SHIFT P and playing w these HDR settings :
1697038767186.png

also make sure lights are on 100% and not 300% or something (in SCENE)
1697039140999.png

but indeed sometimes when the skin settings are way off, it's best to amend those first ...
with ext_config.ini inside the skin you can change the brightness and reflection etc.
If you have an example of such mod, I'm happy to take a look.

I have 80 FPS with a full grid. Latest version is v1.21.

Thanks for the Gloves/Suit Fix, a nice easy all round fix is very much appreciated as one thing always bothered me having to do it individually with a different driver model.

On a sort of related note, always thought a good quality of life CM update, would include an easy way to change driver models within CM without having to manually amend the specific car skin ini file. Going to guess that is something we can't do already with CM Manager?

I have a problem with Content Manager- After clicking on The only function I didn't know about is randomise everything. Now, how do I get back the exact time of the track data?...
I don't quite understand what's your problem... If you want that the game shows the actual time (and weather, I think) of the track you are driving on, you must tick "Real conditions". For it to work correctly, the tracks must be located using their corresponding "Geo tags".

Anyway, have you tried clicking on the three little points?

Captura.JPG

Those points opens windows that allows you to make some more adjustments. Let's see if you have an option activated in any of those menus that prevents what you want to achieve.

Hi, How you doing, Terve, Moi,
As a regular reader of this forum, I’ve noticed how important it is to some of you, that new members follow certain introduction rules. As I see it, it can be rather rude and confusing to new members. Is it really that big a deal?

I think the only difference is the floor. You may also see on the above picture that the car´s height is changed due to the data being active when AC is launched (look at the front wheel and the space to the fender).

Of course not.
Just ignore the wise guys posts. Personally, I don't want to know about your past and current life.

You will be good if you just be polite and say 'Hello'.
After all, you are joining a community, some education doesn't hurt.

Cheers
Hello there Paulo, I am RCG17 and I like to play racing games for fun. ;)

So, there's my introduction; now for my response to your comment. I wouldn't say it hurts to do an introduction, but the thing is that on the internet. It's not typically expected on forums to do that in my experience and introductions for new users before making a post isn't typically expected on this site. On the other parts of the site with Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport as examples; I haven't seen this being treated as a big deal on the count it's expected for most users to not bother with introductions.

Honestly, I found it to be a bit shocking there's an extra expectation on this forum thread to be pointing out the supposed rudeness of not introducing yourself as a new member. Once again, I really don't see an issue with someone replying with a simple question as long as they're not typing in all-caps or saying things that violate the AUP.
And don't you think it's rude to arrive at a place where anyone don't know you and demand for something without ever saying good morning... hi... hello... good day... how are you?... please... thanks... or any of those words that unfortunately we use less and less in this world we live in?
Hi Perico, I am just a Random Car Guy that enjoys racing games for fun including sims.

Now with my introduction out of the way, I can say that simply replying with a hello first isn't too much to ask for in joining a community. I also can say it could be rude if someone came up to me in public with a question, but that also depends on their approach. With how the other guy just simply asked "Do you have links to the mods?" That's honestly pretty harmless, especially compared to the replies I have gotten elsewhere.

Another thing to point out is that we're on an internet forum where introductions honestly don't feel exactly necessary, it doesn't feel as rude to me when someone randomly replies to me with a question here or on other websites regarding a mod or whatever else. At least in the way the other guy spoke. If said user was simply asking this question in a private message in a blunt manner such as "HEY, HOW DID YOU GET MODS?!" Then you would have a point.

Indirectly you can do it with CM:
-open car in content view
-unpack data
-in driver3d.ini change value for "NAME" with filename of the new driver model
-save file
-in CM click on Pack data

I feel you are missing the point... There is no introduction needed! Just a plain civil hi or hello would suffice...

If a stranger walks up to you and says :
"What time is it ? " you would find it somewhat rude, wouldn't you? (unless you are familiar with the person/persons, then it's ok, but again I'm talking about a stranger.)

If that person were to come up to you and say something like: "hi, do you have the time please?" , that is completely acceptable, you wouldn't think anything of it.

So no need to go "Hi , I'm Ed, I live in Antwerp and love simracing. Would you happen to know the time?"
That is indeed overkill and absolutely not needed. One might even consider it as oversharing.

Same when first posting in a public forum. (although in a forum it would be accepted if you do make an introduction)...

I hope it's clear now for all :)

Hi Perico, I am just a Random Car Guy that enjoys racing games for fun including sims...
Hello RCG17, I'm Perico Lospa, an old grumpy man on the porch who likes to take things a little lightly, trying to get a smile from time to time with his nonsense, without the intention of bothering anyone, of course... but if that someone is bothered by a little joke when asked for a little education... I don't know where we're going... (It must be that I'm a little old-fashioned, at 55 years old, I don't know...)

And now seriously; in most of the forums that I frequent, it's common, as a rule of manners (just like avoiding write always in capital letters), to make a short (or long) presentation, for which even usually there's a thread dedicated to it... as in this same forum, without going any further... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/introduce-yourself-new-member-introductions-thread-—-come-say-hello.399873/unread

For some time now I have been one of the moderators (although it seems incredible) of a modest car forum, and I can't avoid feel me a little sad when the first message a new forum member writes is to have a problem resolved or a question answered, without even say "hi"... And I feel sad because that attitude usually means that, as soon as their question is resolved, that person will leave the forum just as they arrived, without even saying "tk"... selfishness in its purest form. (Confirmed: I´m a grumpy old-fashioned...)

And now, gentlemen, perhaps we should stop being transcendent and continue talking about sim, which is what we are here for.

No, I got that before. You guys are saying a simple hello would suffice and be preferred to just asking a question. As I just said above, I wouldn't find it exactly rude if someone asked me for the time as long as the person wasn't yelling at me or throwing some vulgar insults. In which the the user didn't.

Once again, that goes back to my point. I understood that you guys expect this in a public forum, but that's not a typical thing I have ever come across in a forum or social media sites when posting things on a topic. Mainly here on GTPlanet, the other sections of the site have people asking questions a lot w/o hellos and typically people don't feel bothered by that.

And now seriously; in most of the forums that I frequent, it's common, as a rule of manners (just like avoiding always writing in capital letters), to make a short (or long) presentation, for which there is usually a thread dedicated to it... as in this same forum, without going any further... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...uctions-thread-—-come-say-hello.399873/unread
Yes, I am aware of that thread and I've been on it before, buuuut I honestly didn't knew it existed until a couple years later after joining. I'm not even sure that thread was a requirement to read through. The fact you're saying that hellos are expected in the forums you frequent honestly surprises me.

the first message a new forum member writes is to have a problem resolved or a question answered, without even say "hi"... And I feel sad because that attitude usually means that, as soon as their question is resolved, that person will leave the forum just as they arrived, without even saying "tk"... selfishness in its purest form.
The thing is, I feel like for comments like that; I wouldn't take them that seriously. The internet in general is often a place that can fun discussion, but it's also a place where people just don't take things seriously in general like in real life.

Despite being a small Youtuber, I still will get frequent nonsense comments like that people asking "how do I do this?" or "Is this where...?" I mean, they're annoying to hear constantly, but that's the price on posting things on a public forum. I never exactly see them as rude or think too much about them as it's just people (kids pontentially even) in a rush or are being lazy. Not something I ever would make a big deal out of.
